Relsialle flashed a wicked grin as Janeiro questioned her intentions suddenly, a quick wink escaping her directed at the elder of the two teens, “A game? Well it makes sense after-all, seeing that’s what you thought when you put that helmet on your pretty little head hmm? Besides, what’s the point of all of it if it isn’t fun, you could just as easily hunker down with the rest of the folks in Beginnings and hide if you weren’t having a good time…” The girl answered with a soft giggle, her voice almost carrying a sultry quality, her tone deepening slightly as her accent filled in the words with an almost musical quality. The thief shook her head with a laugh, finally stepping forward in place behind Janeiro, fighting her urge to play with the girl’s impressive hair, a mischievous smile sneaking across the Irishwoman’s features as she envisioned turning it a dark purple or blue…If only the game had hair dyes! The thought crossed her mind, her fingers crossing on reflex as the future hope made itself apparent. Relsialle turned to offer Rue a quick glance, finally turning back to focus her arctic-blue gaze on the placement of their scout’s feet, doing well to match her prints with her own light-footed step. Underneath her own exterior she knew Janeiro was right, the younger teen was strange to be sure…almost half-robot in her actions and speech, however it was the anger, the pure fury that she just saw that worried her. Her smile faded quickly as her brain dwelled on the possibilities that would cause such behavior, not only in the un-needed attacks…but also the need to sacrifice herself, as if some of that anger was directed inward as well. The philosophical punk-rocker blinked slightly as she regained her focus and mind back in the moment, Janeiro doing well to lead them past the unseen traps and activation plates keeping them safe enough for the time being. The noises seemed to grow louder as the doorway came closer a bend just inside the doorway keeping the contents of the next chamber unknown as they finally stepped closer. The far wall of the trap filled tunnel was dimly lit much like the rest of the hall that they had past, the unlocked door nearly invisible in the remains of the smoke and stale air that was now far behind them. At front the entrance looked completely unadorned, several scratch marks seemingly apparent on the stone as if someone was dragging something large into the next chamber, however under Janeiro’s gaze the whole doorway would light up red with no safe-way to pass through the threshold…and the very nearby sound of creatures stirring meant that they would need to keep nearly silent to maintain their illusion of safety… |
