Janeiro Lv5 | Availability: Up to 2 additional players Getting sick in the virtual world was far more terryfying than in reality. Japan had hospitals, doctors, and if you felt ill there was probably a reason for that not too hard to find out. In Aincrad, everything was different, and shrouded in mystery. Was she sick in the real world, with her brain chemistry causing her to be affected in here as well? Was it some sort of sadistic, secret event? Maybe she physically could not handle the prolonged stay in VR, or maybe it was a technical issue, a glitch or lag, causing her discomfort. All of these were possibilities running through Janeiro's head as she was lying on her bed, sweating, breathing and staring at the ceiling of her apartment. Lately she often had a sudden feeling of weakness and sickness overcoming her, causing her to be useless for the next few hours as all kinds of activity only made her feel worse. She often had to abruptly end meetings and even explorations, forcing herself to get back to town before collapsing so that she wouldn't make easy prey for monsters. Sometimes it was so bad she lost track of time, couldn't tell whether she had been lying around for minutes or days, and short sleeping phases filled with realistic dreams made her unable to discern what was real and what wasn't. Then, it stopped. Janeiro woke up with a head clearer than it had been at any point during the past few weeks. She felt the soft breeze and the sunlight on her skin, crawling into her room through the window, heard birds and townsfolk outside, she had a sense of smell, could see and think without any weird blur. Janeiro sat up, letting her legs dangle off the edge of the bed. After washing herself with cold water she put on her armor and went outside for the first time in... how long had it been? She wasn't even sure whether she wanted to know. Of course, the NPCs were the same as always. But Janeiro had heard some people had gone missing, furthermore that the dungeon had been found. She certainly did not want to go there alone, but there was another mysterious location on the floor, with a purpose that was yet to be found - at least, if she had all the information there was about it. Going there might be dangerous, but already during her morning routine she had noticed how restless she was, and that she had to do something. After a second of hesitation she opened the communication menu. Some of her messages still had not been replied to. Thinking about what could have happened to her friends was terrifying. Janeiro quickly closed it again, shaking her head, and heading for the weird, gate-like formation reported to be on the edge of the floor. Crossing the land she tried to avoid pulling aggro, if possible she would not fight any battles unrelated to her goal today. A tense expression on her face mirrored what was going on in her mind.
