Tesh was now level two, thanks to the training that he had been receiving with Rue. He still was living at her place, continuing to train, but there were many days when they wouldn't be training, naturally since Rue had other things she needed to tend to as well. It's not like she was going to second every waking moment and second with him, training him to become a better fighter. So today was one of the off days where Rue left early in the morning leaving him a note on the table that said she would be going out for the day and wouldn't be returning until later in the evening. Tesh placed the note back down on the table, sitting down to drink his morning tea, and pondered for a little about what he would do that day. He had been on the second floor, living in Rue’s apartment now for a little while, but almost every day he spent training with her, and on those few off days that he had to himself, the majority of the time he spent them relaxing and resting from being too exhausted to really go out and do anything. On those days, the only thing that he was capable of doing was going out and walking around the town, and every so often go by the lake and relax. He wasn't truly capable of doing much more than this. Today was different though, Rue had Tesh had decided to stop their training in one on one combat and now she was fighting with him against the monsters in the game. It was better this way for the both of them. Today Tesh decided that he was going to check out the second floor a bit, being that he was level two now he was more confident that he would be okay to scout around a bit and the area that he wanted to first check out was the Highlands, never being there before. He did some research over the past week or so on the area, as well as the monsters that have been spotted on the floor and where they spawn and reside, and knew that this was going to be his safest bet most likely, his biggest threat was running in giants that were level four, two levels above himself. He wouldn’t be able to deal with them on his own so he was going to avoid such encounters if at all possible, hoping that the only encounters that he would engage in would be the Timber Wolves, that were level two as well, which he could handle on his own. He rationalized that it would be impossible to come into contact with one of the cave spiders that would also out level him, seeing that they would only reside in the caves, somewhere he was not willing to venture into alone yet. Finishing his Tea that Rue had left for him out on the table this morning, he wondered where she ran off to so early without informing him. He could just send her a message but he didn’t want to bother her, especially if she had something important to tend to. If she needed him for some reason or was worried about him she would message him. Walking up to the front door he put his outside shoes on and left the apartment. Walking down the stairs that were on the side of the building, it was a beautiful day outside, looking out over the lake reflecting the Sun that was only just barely above the surface. He walked through the streets that were beginning to show more and more signs of life, as more players and NPC’s began showing their faces walking about. He followed the main road that went through the city all the way out to the front gate. Standing at the front Gate of the city he looked out over the landscape, clenching onto his sword that was sheathed on his back gently...he was ready to begin the day exploring the second floor highlands.

[Elpharae]

Elpharae strode through the Town of Beginnings with a purpose shining in his eyes, and he carelessly sheathed his rapier, which had been sitting in his hand, as he stared straight ahead of him. Anyone who knew Elpharae knew that his emotions were what guided him, the sole source of all his actions. While others preferred mind and logic over heart, the brunet was a firm believer in the phrase "follow your heart", and as such, he did as his heart guided him. The crossdresser tied his hair up in a sleek high ponytail, eyes narrowed as he stepped into the teleporter.

He closed his eyes, ready for the flash of light that would have awaited him had he kept his eyes open. Moments later, the green player opened them to notice that he was in Port Noir again. The smell of sea salt assaulted his senses, which would have made him cringe on a normal basis, afraid of his skin and hair getting dried out, by for now, he merely stepped out ineffectually. He made his way through the broken and littered streets of Port Noir, ignoring the hapless pleas for help or food as he stepped by.

Whereas Athena might have stopped and helped them, fed them, perhaps, Elpharae merely gave them a sympathetic look and passed by. There was no point in helping programs, no matter how pitiful. There was no point in helping someone who would still stay in the same state. After all, he would want to get to the root of the problem. Perhaps creating a contract between the beggars and shopkeepers, all NPCs...it seemed like a Quest, almost, but manageable nonetheless.

He toyed with the idea as he headed to the Highlands. Establishing a contract stating that in exchange for doing labor on the shopkeeper's farms and in their stores, they would be awarded money and food, perhaps even a place to stay...it didn't seem that hard. Perhaps when their guild had more of a reputation, as reputation would be important when establishing such a connection...he nodded internally. The issue would be addressed. If he happened to see Athena again, he would bring it up with her.

But for now...he sighed. Elpharae needed to get stronger. There was no mistaking that. So the brunet headed towards the Highlands, switching into his armor as he did so. When he walked there, he bumped into Tesh, and gave him a look of surprise. "Hello, Tesh." He said coolly, taken off guard, but he offered a polite smile. "Are you heading to the Highlands? If you are, do you mind accompanying me? I was going to hunt on my own, but the more the merrier, right?"

He offered a grin to the other, but his eyes and mind were elsewhere. Even if Tesh declined, he would enter in the Highlands. For most of his time in the game, he had been relatively upfront with his desire to not front-line, even as he killed monsters and the such. He had taken leveling as a serious business, but there had been no need to actively try as hard as he could. That would have to change. Elpharae sighed. He didn't know what determination had taken hold of him, but no matter what it was, he was glad for it.

The teal eyed man stood at the gate of the city staring out into the highlands, which seemed to stretch out and cover a vast amount of area on the second floor. A gentle breeze flushed through the city, from behind him, caused by the rather tall buildings lining the main street. It was a peaceful moment, and Tesh was taking in the atmosphere, relaxed. What where all of the people that he had met in recent days up to currently? The grey haired man thought to himself, just about to set out to venture into the highlands, for the first time. Making his first step, halfway through, he felt a force press up into his back, knocking him slightly off balance and surprising him, being that he was so enveloped in thought and taking in the moment. He took a step ahead and turned around while saying, “Oh sorry, I must’ve been ……oh! Elpharae! Hey.” He said with a smile on his face, noticing that something about Elpharae was a bit off, maybe? Something was definitely different compared to the last time that they had met in the Town of New Beginnings back on the first floor. Back then he had more of a different aura about him, it was more refined and well composed, but this was slightly different…more withdrawn and cold possibly? He noticed the polite smile that he was giving off to him, but it felt more artificial, as a means of just putting up the mask so that he wouldn’t get questioned about what he was feeling or thinking. Tesh didn’t want to pry into his life and mind, especially without permission, as well as, they didn’t quite know each other on a relatively close basis yet, so it would definitely not go over well with him and how he holds himself as well as his perception of the world. With this knowledge Tesh simply answered his following question regarding partying together to join in going to venture the highlands to hunt. “Well, I would be more than happy to join together with you on this, especially since we might be in the same guild sooner or later, depending on when I hear back from Athena. Rue was telling me that she hasn’t been around recently. That’s rather unfortunate…I was hoping to be able to join soon, especially with all the training that I have been receiving from Rue over the past week or so now…Anyways, yeah! I’d like to have some company. I wasn’t planning on hunting too much, being alone and only level two, I was more focused on just scouting out the area for my own personal knowledge, but since we are together we should be able to better hunt.” Relaxing his grip on his sword and letting his hand swing back down to his side, he opened up the social tab in the menu and flicked a screen over to Elpharae asking him if he would like to join his party. This was his first time being technically a party leader, and it felt weird, but at the same time it was kind of cool to him. He didn’t get wrapped up in it though, after all he has had no experience with the highlands, so he wasn’t really qualified to consider himself the actual leader of this party, rather it would have been Elpharae, who probably knew more than himself. Looking back up at the dark haired boy, “Um so yeah, just like I said, I have never been out and about in the highlands, so would you mind more or less leading the way?”

Tesh talked a lot.

It was the first thing that occurred to Elpharae, but it was a mere observation, nothing mocking or sordid. But his eyes narrowed imperceptibly at the mention of Athena. Sore spot that it was. He cared deeply about Athena, and speaking as if it were her fault that she was absent. The brunet nodded politely, his aura warm and composed as he usually was. "I wouldn't mind, but I do believe I am in the same boat as you...more or less. But I would be happy to lead you."

He then accepted the party invite, noting that Tesh was level two now. He congratulated the boy politely and with a small trace of respect before turning on, walking into the Highlands. There was a rough, rocky terrain with tons of moss, which he internally cringed at before continuing on. How on earth was he supposed to do this-right. He kept his rapier in his hand and his mind clear as he checked on Tesh with Detection every once in a while.

There were a couple of groups around them, and Elpharae detected a little bit of recognition in one player's eyes. He had been...in the crowd when they had rooted out future prospects in their guild. There was no point in trying to remember more, so he merely turned his attention to the spot before him and then froze. Two timber wolves. His fingers delicately wrapped around the rapier as he tilted his head, assessing before he turned back to Tesh.

"Tesh, if you don't mind taking on your opponent first? Leave one for me, if you will."

Tesh continued to follow Elpharae into the Highlands. This was his first experience ever entering this new area…it was a lot different than the Great Plains or the Black Forest back on the first floor. The terrain was rocky, there was some grass, but it was dispersed randomly in small patches throughout the area, the majority of the land was rocky with loose pebbles and smaller rocks on the crust that didn’t allow for the best footing…Tesh kept this in mind as the two continued their venture deeper into the highlands. Stepping over rather deep cracks in the earth, ones that seemed to go all the way to the center of the core, Tesh remained cautious, he had heard rumors of Spiders making traps on the top of the crust that would cause players to trip or break the surface and fall to the bottom of canyons, or caves, where they would be surrounded by spiders and killed. That was a horrific thought and he tried not to give it too much attention that would be gruesome and terrifying, as he imagined a player falling down into a cave and having several spiders swarm them. They continued on, trekking through the rocky terrain, nothing had grabbed his attention for a little while now, until Elpharae stopped in his tracks, in front of the two were two timber wolves. Analyzing the situation at hand, it would probably be best for the two to take on their own opponents. Tesh had a wide area of attack and it wouldn’t be the best to have the two fighting side by side on the same monster, as well as, Elpharae seemed to be better at one on one fighting with her great sparing skills, that he had witnessed back in the Town of New beginnings, when he watch her fight against Flint. Elpharae took her focus off of the two wolves for a moment and turned around to tell Tesh to take on the first monster and leave the second for himself, he must have had the same train of thought as Tesh had. Nodding to Elpharae, as a means to not attract the attention prematurely from the wolves, he agreed with what the boy had to say. Unsheathing his sword, the first of the timber wolves heard the sound, turning its head slightly to the side, and snarling at the two. Tesh took his sword in both hands, placing it out in front of himself, he remembered his training with Rue…to keep his distance with the opponent, after all his sword was long enough to hit without having to be in the immediate proximity of the enemy. He didn’t want to attract the attention of the other wolf while fighting with the first one, he wanted to leave the second for Elpharae, and so he entered into more of a defensive stance letting the wolf make the first strike, so that it would have to come over to him without him entering the agro range of the second wolf. Tesh turned his head over to Elpharae to take a couple paces backwards just so that he wouldn’t accidently strike the boy with his sword while he was fighting. He wasn’t concerned that he would be able to hurt him but he didn’t want any accidents, especially out here in the Highlands. The wolf charge at the teal eyed man, snarling while it was making every step forward, and when it pounced at him he slide his right leg back slightly enough to duck underneath the wolf, taking his sword backwards over his head, he cut deeply into the stomach of the wolf as it dove over his head. Looking upwards at the wolf as it was overhead he saw the red gash in the wolf, it stretched from its upper chest all the way to the lower abdomen. When it landed on the ground behind him it let out a rather loud howl, probably to signal the second wolf into joining it in the fight. Tesh wasn’t able to attack again for it was able to get the sound out from its lungs. Trying to attack before it was possible to make that awful screeching sound, Tesh slide his left leg around, as a means to spin him around 180 degrees. As he turned around the wolf was in a crouched stance, howling like if it was howling towards the moon. He heard the second world behind him snarling now. He looked over to Elpharae, and said, “Your fight now.” While in combat, his entire demeanor would change from the talkative person that he was to a short a quick responded fighter, not to use to much energy or time to speak while the fight was happening. After the words left his lips he began charging forward at the first timber wolf that was exiting his howling pose. He found no reason to use his sword art yet so he was just going to drive his sword straight through the wolf, as long as it wasn’t able to dodge the strike.

Impressive. Elpharae hummed in quiet acknowledgement, a sensation of interest flowing through him. It seemed like under Rue's tutelage, Tesh had improved at a rate that he hadn't anticipated. That was, since he didn't anticipate anything at all. Recently, Tesh had been the least of his worries. His mind was far more occupied by the thought of the impending fate of the guild if Athena didn't reappear. But it seemed that the matter would be taken care of soon enough. Hopefully. He assessed the situation as Tesh defeated his foe and kept his hand on his unsheathed rapier, giving him a quiet nod and complimenting him on his kill before disappearing into thin air, courtesy of his Stealth skill.

Using Detection, he could listen to the monster's movements with a sharpened sense. His eyes close momentarily to let himself focus, and the brunet takes in a silent breath, the intake of air calming him. And then he lunges. His feet carry him through a smooth strike, and his copper rapier gleams before finding itself embedded inside of the wolf's pelt. His fingers curl more tightly around the hilt, and he finds the blade to be digging deeper into the tough hide. The golden-gray fur is ripped open, and a grotesque red mark appears. Elpharae pays no mind, instead practicing Acrobatics as he flips over the monster to evade an attack.

His thigh is still plagued with an angry triad of clean cuts after that flip, but he decides it's nothing and fights on. His black hair flies out in a steady stream behind him, not that anyone can see, and he raises his arm to try to attempt another stab. His arm lashes out and his weapon glints in the sunlight as he narrows his eyes, zeroing in on his target. He strikes downward from midair, well, that is, halfway up from a single step that propels him midair, and then he twists his wrist the tiniest bit to force more pressure onto his blade and make it dig in deeper, and the wolf's health drops lower.

He steps back to reassess, and then he tries to calm his beating heart. His dark eyes shutter automatically, and then he scans the beast over and stares straight back into its eyes to try to somehow ground himself. He tugs lightly on the hilt of his rapier, cool metal now warm enough to register on his flesh, and the palm of his hand feels the gentle pressure of the weight put inside of his weapon. Elpharae takes a deep breath before deciding that this is the last strike, and he's going to end it with this. He inclines his head slightly before deciding to take off his Stealth. The monster seems to see through it, anyways.

The brunet crossdresser slips underneath a wild strike, ignoring the tiny, stinging scratch he is rewarded with, and goes for the kill. His rapier finds itself inside of the monster's eye, and the wolf snaps at him, eyes wide with fear before it dissipates into a shower of blue and white pixels. Elpharae examines his weapon before sliding it into the sheath at his side, and he turns on his heel to turn to Tesh, tilting his head into the direction of the heart of the area. "Shall we move on?" He inquires, brushing his hair back as he assesses Tesh with a level gaze, reforming his opinions of the boy.

As Tesh’s head snapped back towards the timber wolf that was finishing howling, to gain the others attention, in aiding it in the fight, he felt the loose rocks below his feet as he making a full on charge towards the wolf. Everything went silent, complete focus on his kill was the only thing that was in his eyes, he was completely enveloped in the fight, making sure that he wasn’t going to make a single mistake. Fighting in the highlands was a place that this was necessary, and Tesh quickly picked up on this; one single mistake could, and almost would guarantee, something fatal to come as a consequence; one wrong step, and he would fall into the depths of the cave routes that lie beneath the crust of the surface.

His breath was slow and shallow as his grey hair flew behind his head, charging forward onto the wolf that was just lowering its head back to its opponent—Tesh—the grey haired man had already managed to close the gap and get into attacking range. Lowering his right shoulder, turning his torso to the right, pointing his blade sideways to his right, as he got closer and closer to the wolf, he would get close enough to strike. As he stepped about two meters from the beast, he turned his torso back around towards the left, to gain more momentum, and raised his right shoulder back up while bringing the left one back down, swinging his sword around his body to slash at the neck of the wolf.

As the wolf finally lowered his head and made perfect eye contact with the young man, it was already too late for it to make a move. The blade sunk deep, through the fur and hide, into the flesh of the wolf, as the two stared each other’s eyes. Tesh could see the fear in the beast, but it wasn’t genuine, it wasn’t authentic fear, it was all just code, more programming that would make the player feel more immersed into the atmosphere of the game. This didn’t face the young man for a moment as his face and eyes remand blank as the blade cut completely through the beast, it was utterly decapitated from the attack. Tesh didn’t know this was something that was possible in the game, but without even looking back to see what would happen with the creature, he knew it would die, and was reassured from the sound of it bursting into many white and light blue pixels.

Relaxing his blade back onto his shoulder, not sheathing it just in case, he would walk back over the Elpharae who gave him a quick nod, complimenting him on the kill, vanishing into thin air before him as he posted up out of range of her fight. It was just like that time before when they were back in the main town on the first floor, when he fought against that teal haired many who had some rather pretentious beliefs about his skills and fighting style, one in which he didn’t believe was one deserving respect. His skills with his blade were more than competent, as well as, being just as useful in the art of battle. Tesh didn’t agree with his words back then, and his beliefs in his abilities were once more proven to be not misplaced, seeing as he dealt with wolf quickly and efficiently.

As he returns back in sight of Tesh, he watches the dark haired crossdresser make the final blow, one that landed directly in the eye of the wolf. He was once again taken back to watching him defeat that man in the town in a very similar fashion…gruesome, but it worked, and that is what mattered to Tesh. After seeing the killing blow, Tesh placed his sword back into the sheath on his back, as Elpharae would turn around on his heel, tilting his head slightly into a direction that lead deeper into the highlands. As he would brush his lengthy dark hair back around, behind his head, he would ask Tesh if they should continue. His aura seemed to be changing slightly, it wasn’t a significant change, not one that would stand out to Tesh, but it was enough for him to pick up on it, possibly he was feeling better emotionally or mentally from earlier? Who knew? All Tesh knew was that his demeanor changed slightly from before and he wouldn’t pry into the young crossdressers personal feelings without being first invited.

Looking at him, “Absolutely, that’s not enough to make me wanna call it a day…btw, good kill.” He would say to Elpharae, also nodding with a slight smile on his face.

Elpharae arched a brow at his abrupt brazenness, but let out a polite smile, his messy ponytail brushing against his shoulder blades as he nodded in thanks, a flash of his quicksilver bubbly personality shining through in that moment. Who he was in the real world, that was. "Thank you, Tesh." He giggled privately at the sudden thought that occurred to him. Tesh was so tall, after all, compared to him. Around half a foot of difference, and that was that. He let out his laugh, feeling less unsettled than before.

The brunet was dictated by the flow of his emotions, but he didn't say anything else, a note of positivity in the way that he held himself, but his gaze was no less sharp as he collected himself, rapier easily fitting into the grip of his hand as he sent a curious glance around himself. "It seems as if we're in the all clear for now...perhaps we should move in a little deeper. I don't fancy standing here all the time, after all."

He tilted his head, and then froze mid-step, tilting his head further as he listened to a rattling, clattering noise, like something thudding on the ground. Birds scattered into the air, and their wings beat loudly, cries spinning into the air, lost yarns of another time. Footsteps? Loud ones, maybe. Were people dropping boulders or something? It was a rhetorical question, anyways. Elpharae had thought he knew what it was.

A huge, hulking frame came into the brunet's Detection radar, and he relayed the information to Tesh, running a harried hand through his messy, somehow-wavy ponytail. "A Field Giant...a monstrous man-like beast who wields a club, from what I heard. And level four, to boot. At least it's just one. I think we can take him." His rapier found itself in his hand as he twirled it ineffectually inside of his hands, feeling the metal hilt slip in and out between his fingers.

"Don't you?" He tilted his head at the gray-haired boy, sending a quicksilver grin to him before leaning back, spinning on his heel as he hummed thoughtfully, eyes dark before they lightened considerably, his rapier flashing in the light as his countenance sobered, seriousness flitting on his features. "At any rate, it won't be an easy fight. I hope you're up for it." The footsteps drew nearer, shaking the ground.

Dragonsnow turns around slowly in alert, his eyebrow frowning as he lowers his body more closer to the ground, listening for the sound of the surrounding...at the moment, there was nothing unusual about anything in this place. Wind blowing quietly, taking off a few leaves here and there in between, all was silent. In fact, looking that the serenity of this part of the highland, Dragonsnow was not even sure what had caught his attention initially, there was a feeling of something was wrong, but without detection skill it could have all been his imagination. Unless it was very close to him already or that he had been locked on by something, he should not even be able to detect anything at all. Still, the feelings lingers on... The tall trees beside him covering up his view of the full range highland, and without detection skill, he only has access to what he's eyes could see, what he could hear, and there was nothing out of the place.

Slowly, Dragonsnow stood up straight again and with one last look behind, the turns around and continues to walk on the road that of which he arrived upon. A few weeks before, he had taken a part time job at one of the local herb stands in the Town of the Beginning, and he was tasked with collecting herbs on behalf of the aging NPC, who now started to have problem with just walking. All of herbs that were required can be find on the first floor, but they were few and scattered far in between. To gather the amount required and then some, to compensate and to cover for if and when he made a mistake grabbing the wrong herbs somewhere, the quantity of the herbs what were required was simply too many, and it was eating away at his free time. At some point, Dragonsnow dared to venture onto the second floor instead. And it was not a mistake, even the rare herbs become slightly more common on the second floor, and he dares to wander further on the second floor, across different regions, trying to find out which area has what kind of herbs that he needed.

Going around on the second floor as a newbie is no simple task, every single encounter is potentially dangerous for him, so he was forced to take things very seriously and proceed with the utmost caution. He would stop even if he felt like something was a little bit out of the place, without the detection skill, what he thought was dangerous often turns out to be something harmless, however, the amount of caution that he puts into his travel had saved his life many times before already. Narrowly avoiding encounters with spiders and wolves, he performed his daily delivery quest and still has his only one life intact.

But this time..it had felt different, truly different.

He thought that something was watching him when he was on his way back to the Port, but when he turns around there was nothing out of the place, but when he turns back to be on his way again, he felt the gaze once again. This has been happening for sometimes now, starting just a little after he has gathered the herbs that he needed, the sense of being followed followed him this entire way, that was why he was now walking within the group of trees, seeking shelter from the unknown by hidden away behind tree trunks and leaves. But the thought of being followed by some unknown second floor monster, that still puts chills on his shoulder, if this was not him being simply paranoid, then the intelligent of this thing, whatever it was, was beyond your regular AI. To be toying with one's prey and not just simply charge in at sight, this hide and seek game, felt almost malice to him.

He looks around, and noticed that in that direction outside of the trees that he was hiding within, was a large patch of clearing, but just beyond the clearing, there was what appear to be a cave. If I can go to that cave, maybe there is another path and would connect it to somewhere else, I would be able to get rid of this thing then....

But....

If I thought wrong, and that there were already monsters inside of the cave, it would have been suicide for me...should I still do it..? He asked himself.

But just then, the ground was shaken once.

Dragonsnow looked up.

...what was that...? an earthquake...?


The the ground trembles some more, and as Dragonsnow turns around to look, a giant hand reaches over brushing the trees to the side, a large humanoid head peer at him and it smiled, with its large mouth stretched out into a large bloody upward curving line. It lower its left hand and reaches in a grabbing motion towards Dragonsnow.

Shiit...!


Dragonsnow turns around and rushes out of the forest, even with his limited knowledge of the second floor monster he knew a giant when he saw one, and that thing is definitely not something he could take on by himself! Then running away to cover would be his only choice, luckily that he saw the cave earlier.

But before he can even reaches the cave, his proverbial vision catches something, he turns to look at what it was. It looked to be two players...and he was surprised to find out that he knew the both of them! It was Elp from the black forest and Tesh from the Town! 

"Elp?! Tesh?! What are you doing here, run! There is a giant!"


Curses...! Grinding his teeth, he is now very near the two players.

It had seemed to be all clear now, as Tesh and Elpharae stood there by the two timber wolves, whom were no longer existing anymore. “Yeah I agree, I don’t like to just sit out here in the open either, let’s get moving,” he said back to him. As they began making their way deeper into the highlands, pretty close to the edge of the forest, Elpharae stopped in his tracks, as well as Tesh after seeing him do so. Loud thudding noises could then be heard. Looking over to Elpharae, with a puzzled look about this face, he went on to explain that it was a Field Giant. He nodded his head back to Elpharae after he had asked him whether or not he thought that they could take it on as well. He was nervous but wouldn’t allow it to show.

The thudding got louder and louder, the ground shaking more and more, Tesh then grabbed onto the hilt of his sword pulling out the blade to prepare for the upcoming battle. As the sounds and shakes grew louder and heavy, he would become slightly more nervous, never having seen a field giant before. As they continued to wait for the monster to show itself, Tesh was shocked to see what happened next. Out from nowhere he sees another player running out from the brush, he was pale with dark black hair, someone who he had not recognized, but they were running away from the giant that was chasing him, panicked. Looking over to Elpharae he spoke quickly, “We need to go help them. I’ll go in first and grab its attention, and allow you to strike in stealth.” With those last few words slipping from his mouth, he began to take his first step when suddenly a second giant appeared rushing out from the forest as well.

Stopping dead in his tracks he turned back over to Elpharae and said, with a nervous voice and look in his face now, “We can’t take them both on at once! What are we going to do here? I don’t want to leave that player out to just die.” Tesh waited for Elpharae, the one who was leading him through the highlands to make the first move, given his level he wouldn’t be able to take on a giant one on one. He would follow his next action and support whatever he chose to do.

Sorry for the shortness, but Tesh wouldn't exactly make the first move here with two giants now lol

What the hell is that?! Dragonsnow looked back at the location of the loud sound in alarm, it seems to be chasing him. He had no choice but to pick up his speed, now running full speed (of 2, btw, thank me for saving you the energy to check his profile.) he rushed towards the two players in front of him. The two players are now recognized to be Elp and Tesh respectively.

The realization did not help him at all, since he believes that Tesh is not a high level player and the last time that he met Elp, she was lying down on the ground being surrounded by squid looking thingy in the black forest. Neither of them seems like fighter in his mind, and he knows himself to be a low level player, not to mention, to be not a combatant at all. Sure, he made a promise to himself, saying that he will get better at fighting stuff and maybe just second behind the front line, but he didn't actually have time to actually go do that yet! All of this time, beside random encounter and slashing away at monsters that just happened to be in his way, he was doing mostly of herb gathering stuff and delivery quest. He didn't have the chance to improve his fighting style at all! He was still level 1. And what the hell is it anyway?!

Dragonsnow dares to take a glance back to see what was chasing after him, coming towards this way fast, he didn't even need to check his HUD for monster manual, because it was obvious that it was a giant. He didn't know what level it was, but he can take a guess and say that it waaaay level ahead of him. If all of the rocks on the road, bumping up and down caused by the motion of the giant running speedily forward was anything to get by.

Dragonsnow bites his teeth, he did not like this at all. He was level 1, so he knows from common sense that he wasn't going to do any kind of damage against this thing at all, so all that is left is the other two players. Neither of them seems to be a fighter to him, which means that all three of them are now in trouble and better starting thinking of escape strategy, preferably fast.

"Sorry to tell you this! But I am level 1, I can't fight against this thing, my attack won't even pierce through is defense, there's nothing I can do at the moment. I don't have my port stone anymore, I need to retreat! You guys should do so too, don't take on more than you can chew!" As he run pass the two players, Dragonsnow tries to reason with them and hope that they would come to their senses. Fighting this thing is impossible, the mere size of it looks impossible.

But Dragonsnow doesn't know the exact level of the level players, maybe that the two of them together could find a way to take this thing down somehow? Still, it would be unwise for him to stick around to find out, getting away from the giant monster currently charging towards you seems to be the more reasonable thing to do. And that is what he did, he hoped that the two players would either find a way to take it down, or at least, find a way to safely retreat from this place.

Either way, Dragonsnow retreat back towards the direction of the forest, aiming to lose the pursuit in the forest where the giant would have a much harder time finding him, since he will be hiding from it.
