Kyo Lv.5 | **This thread is open, however, please PM me either here or on my admin account [GM] John before joining with your character name and your position in this thread. Don't intend for it to be solo, but I also don't want a level 1 character to die lol. This will be a combat heavy thread** "You've done well." "He was in the way..." "I hope we get to meet again. Enjoy the second floor." The atrocities of the first floor boss raid would not leave his mind, no matter how hard he tried. He couldn't bare it anymore, and yet he could not unburden himself with the ugly truth in which they live. Kayaba is a monster. He is not a man, he may have never really been a man. Very few people were still around from the first boss fight, and the leader of the front line- well... he isn't anymore. Despite winning the battle he was still taken from us. 'Is this how this works? Are we punished for success? Then how do we win?' Kyo sat at the dock gazing out over the water. He knew what he had to do, what he already had decided on. After the discovery of the dungeons entrance it would not be long before others would follow. He wanted to get in ahead of the others, learn the enemies and share it with the world. Keep the weak and the careless from venturing into their deaths by revealing what awaits them at the depths of the lake. He took another hard look gazing out over the water. 'Is this even possible? I cant see it, so it must be pretty deep... Will my lungs take me that far? Perhaps a special item would be needed to get down that far? No. This floor has dragged on long enough and now I need to pave the way for it to be cleared.' Kyo took a few steps back from his position at the end of the dock, getting himself running room. He took a last look over at Port Noir. A magnificant city of wooden wreckage and rebirth. An expansion to their starting plain land scenery. The towers of wood hobles broke the mid-day suns orange glow casting shade over the area. 'Who knows how long this trip will be... Will I ever make it back?' He shook the negative thoughts from his mind and thought of all his friends that have shown nothing but positive courage from the start. After a brief shake he sprinted forward with all his might leaping out into the lake with a hard splash. As he descended into the depths of the vast body of water he began to peel back his eyes to see the surroundings. Dark- Murky- Nothingness-. Until- There it was, the sea began to clear the deeper he went, but how? As he moved on down he began to see colorful sea-plant life, fish aplenty, and... spiders? So unnatural, so disturbed. The tunnels were all over, and immense, what could have possibly made them? Kyo felt his lungs begin to wane as he continued down. 'This is probably the point of no return- if I go any deeper I probably wont be able to get back up...' He thought quickly on how reckless this whole endeavor was. He should have at least got someone to spot him and make sure he made it down or came back up. He kept swimming with all his might, diving for the nearest tunnel. His vision began to get cloudy as his eyes stung from the waters impurities, just as he neared the brink of blacking out he felt his grasp on the edge of the tunnel wall, pulling himself towards it. *Crash* The metal of his blade clung against the ground as he broke the the strange water of the lake into the tunnel. He gasped for air for a few moments before choking out a bit of water and reinvigorating his lungs. "God- Precious oxyg-" he blink and turned behind himself to look at the path he just took into the dungeon. The water- just- stopped at the entrance. It didn't make any sense, physics didn't work this way- and yet- in a game, who is there to say it cant? He stood up and walked to the water, still against the cavern despite being well over 100 feet under the water. He pushed his hand into the water, feeling the pressure of deep sea around his hand before pulling it back out. "Woah..." he was amazed, but only for a moment. He had to get his head back into the game. He shook his hair if only just to make it more of a mess then it already was, soaked through. He run out what cloth of his armor he could without removing it and was on his way down the barren cavern, hoping to avoid any contact for now. His amazement at this dungeon was an understatement. He thought back to the bulletin board with the lead for the dungeon- Kayaba you sneaky bastard. He was cleaver indeed, but still a monster. Kyo continued his walk down the tunnel. It was massive, probably around 15 feet in diameter. The thought of what could have possibly made it was still at the back of his mind, but a part of him really didn't want to know. He had hopped it was just part of Kayabas creation and not some kind of massive monster, but he had seen far to many monster movies to be an optimist at this point. As he continue down he noticed it out of the corner of his eye. The slight movement in the shadows, dark and patient, but not quite patient enough. Quickly he drew his blade and held it up for what he expected of the worst as the black thick tendril like leg descended from the ceiling beside him. The clash of steel against rock hard carapace clung through the tunnels, echoing on and on- "Shit" escaped his mouth, knowing the noise would certainly draw the attention of more enemies, but that wasn't his problem yet- he held his stance as the rest of the body began to break from the darkness behind it. Another spider-person. These things were getting old- He knew he could take them 1 on 1, but perhaps he should still be cautious, he thought back to the slight difference in Kobolds from the dungeon and outside the dungeon on the first floor. Quickly he whipped his sword to the side before engulfing in a violet shimmering light, 1- 2- he snapped his wrist back and forth with his arm unleashing his sword arts glimmering color. The beast was already around half dead when he jumped back and took his defensive post again. "Come at me ya freak-" he snapped at the beast as it stuck its sharp legs into the ground preparing for an attack. |
