Artificial sunbeams filled the town with a sort of quaint radiance. The horrors of the first week in this death trap quickly faded as people began to settle into Aincrad. People would gossip about their life on the outside even if it was only such a short time. They still longed for their own lives, the tone of their murmurs hid a secret heartache. No one could blame them, risking your life when so many had died already was ludicrous.
Grind couldn't make any friends here. The type of people who stayed back on the first floor for the most part were those who settled on their lot in life. He, on the other hand, was absorbing everything the world had to offer. Grind would fill any pauses in his life by checking the weather to see the possibilities and possible changes, as they could be triggers for event in the future. He would check the NPCs and see if they would ever leave their post and if their interactions with him would depend on his own demeanor.
Grind was treating every single thing about this town as it mattered. Training his detection skills and then following other players via his tracking skill to test out the limits of his abilities. As he stalked other players, he noticed that he could see their footsteps for a bit over a minute. Detection seemed to work just fine without any issues, but he could see his ability with the talent increasing little by little.
At this time, he began to trace the steps of a slim, androgynous male, His eyes surveyed his target, but he was mostly focused on the footsteps. He kept his distance close, while trying not to be overwhelmingly obvious that he was trailing behind.
