Sword Art:
His shield snaps back and forth in front of his body, blocking and stopping blow after blow, his eyes calm behind his flickering guard. Becoming the cliff that ocean waves crash upon for a short time, unbreakable, unshakable.
(Defense: +200% Defense Rolls for 2 rounds)
Trigger:
Yelling out Flint whispers some quiet mantra to himself, a prayer of sorts. Then yelling out a challenge to his opponent whirling his spear above his head for a moment. Then slamming the butt of his spear into the ground before dropping into a low stance his shield held before him, his spear ready at his side. His whole body seeming to be relaxed and loose, as if ready to react to anything that happens.
Description:
His shield's form crackles its entirety is wreathed in a golden glow. The edge of his shield seems to sharpen a touch along with the whole thing growing a bit larger. While his eyes seem to grow brighter, as if able to see everything that was before him and about him. The ground cracks under his feet as he settles into his stance, as a slight trail of his form seems to appear. Almost as if he was leaving behind an echo of his movements while using his Sword Art. His demeanor clam through the effect, a passive expression upon his face.
[Personality]
A stoic fellow to those he does not know, while a wonderful, if quiet friend for others. Not one to be riled, Don is a kind soul, both in and out of game. Always willing to talk if someone needed an ear to listen. As well as cracking a grin if someone manages to tickle his humor, though it does not happen often. He has a soft spot for pets or familiars, considering them to be likened to his dog back in the normal world. But after being trapped within the game he found his true calling. Standing at the front line of battle, bearing the brunt of the storm, and always coming to the aid of his friends. Flint will growl in the face of danger, willing to anger if driven to it. And he will defend his companions no matter what the cost...
[Biography]
Growing up in a blue collar family he had a normal childhood. Coming of age he graduated from high school, spending the next years working his way through college. Paying his own way through it was halfway through when he found an opportunity: Sword Art Online, a VRMMORPG, the first of its kind, and he had gotten a beta key, having entered his name into some random survey a month before when advised by his woman of sorts. Now playing in this new world he found a place that he never thought he would fill. The shield that others needed to stand behind sometimes, that was what he was, and his goal. When the day came when he logged on, and never was able to log off Don, no Flint, embraced this new reality. Taking on the trials of the land about him, it was the world he knew and remembered, and he knew exactly what he should do. Having found that few would stand before the brunt of the front line he embraced the mindset of the classic tank. His beta period was spent coming to a better understanding of what that required as well as meeting and working with many people. Though with SAO becoming the reality that they all now lived in he was appalled at the actions of some players. PK was something he found a horrid action, in a world that was already out to kill them why would someone add to that danger. Still recalling a moment when he watched a friend, no the companion of his heart die before him. It drove him to kill the player that had done it, leaving him feeling lost. Working to get back to the front lines since, convinced that after what he had gone through he wouldn't allow it to happen to anyone else if he could help it.
