PRIVATE THREAD Notes: Once the combat begins we will be broken down into turn order as follows: Zeroth, Alexx, Pentagan, Kyo, Lucia, WinterSong The fight was underway as Lucia took a defensive stance to protect Kyo. Tristian the scimitar user had taken his charge at the group. From the opposite side Torak had taken the same oppertunity to strike both sides at the same time.  Tristian had darted towards Lucia and Kyo, clashing swords with Lucia's whos was in a defensive position.  +5 to defense roll, for skipping offensive turn. Lucia had rolled a 21 (+5) = 26 for defense. Tristian had rolled a 16 for attack. Lucia had easily blocked the incoming attacks warding off the attacker. Torak had made his move from the other side charging in with his axe. Alexx had been ready for this moment now. Quickly he intercepted the attack with his shield before shouting "Binding Light" as his shield had taken on an appearance of pure white light, blinding to one that stares directly at it. Torak had appeared to be staring directly into it though. As if he was in some kind of trance. "Quickly, get the other guy. I have this one for now!" he shouted back. Torak is paralyzed, he will have to roll a defense check every turn to see if he is free, getting progressively easier of a roll every turn.   Alexx is unable to move while maintaining his sword art. He will be treated as paralyzed until Torak is freed. Kyo had regained control of his body, gripping his sword tightly. He was not comfortable killing other people. These were real people, even if they were clearly messed up mentally. "Thanks Lucia" he said looking to her protecting him.  He didn't want to kill them, but perhaps it wouldn't be the end of the world if he had to injure them a little bit. He lunged foward at the scimitar man, trying to aim for his arms to disarm him without killing him. He would just go for a singular swing at the enemies arms.

Kyo had rolled a 4 (-10) = -6 for attack. Opposing roll not needed. Tristian had not even moved, the attack just missed entirely, not lodging Kyo's blade into the hallway wall. Kyo jumped out from behind her, only to miss somewhat spectacularly. This is life and death, some poor performance like that would only get them killed! Quickly she circled around Tristian, keeping her defensive form to cover for Kyo again. "You're not fully recovered yet. Steady your breath and don't push yourself." Lucia who has sparred with people in real life knew that 'don't push yourself' was an incredibly stupid line to say. Yet, she who had the least hesitation to kill was staying in a defensive position. Hypocritical, but she would rather not see one of the party members die while she's making the effort to actually kill someone. The moment he could prove he was okay, though... She wouldn't hold anything back.

"Kyo-san!" Winter shouted over her shoulder as she watched his blade drive into the wall. Although it was another set back for their team, Lucia would be able to cover him so she pursed her lips and carried on. Right now there was an opening created by Alexx that Winter had to seize.  Despite lacking the acrobatic skills of her teammates, Winter hoped that Torak's trance like state would hinder him enough for her to close the gap in good time and get her initial strike in, slashing horizontally, aimed at Torak's midsection.

Torak was paralyzed. Torak suffered 31 damage, thought the paralysis was broken on both him and Alexx. Alexx had jumped back to the team, looking slightly out of it, as if his sword art, or in his case shield art, had some kind of drawback involved. He readied his shield for the followup attack though. Tristian had attempted to make a attack back at Kyo however Lucia had guarded him, shouldering the attack. Tristian had rolled a 25 for attack. Lucia had rolled a 15 (+5 for skipping attack) 20 for defense. Lucia had suffered 5 damage, 31 health remaining. Kyo had been disappointed in his last attack. "Sorry Lucia" he had stated as she now covered him twice. "You go, I've got your back this time." he said, putting up his sword in a defensive position waiting to help an ally in return for his previous aid. Kyo would sit this attack out and attempt to cover whoever would next be attacked.  Perhaps the thought of harming another player has gotten to his head and made it harder for him to strike them knowing that killing them would execute them in the real world too.

With Kyo covering up for her, she would be able to swing her broadsword comfortably. Lifting her broadsword into a Jodan no kamae she brought it down in a slightly diagonal slash from top left to bottom right before retreating a few steps. His strength exceeded hers, so trying Futatsumizuchi without actually using the sword art version where the system will put her in a disadvantage would be just a disaster waiting to happen. Keeping her body low and close to the ground opened her up for projectile attacks like earlier. Kyo is probably too scared to use his Sword Art against this man. And she might want some time off to take a potion break.

Alexx was slightly disorientated but Winter did not retreat even when she had noticed Torak coming to from his blindness. She placed herself between him and her remaining party watching him closely - in order to guard his next attack. For, engaging with Torak meant that Kyo and Lucia would be free to deal with the other attacker.  "Reconsider your actions." She warned, heavily weighing what may happen if she were to use her sword art on him this very moment. Winter was aware she could not control her technique very well and the outcome could yield a terrible result for either one of them. She gripped her sword tighter,  "If you continue, there will be no defeat.... Only death." She paused, her voice meant as a whisper but instead coming out as an edgy growl,  "Is that what you want?!"

PRIVATE THREAD Notes: Once the combat begins we will be broken down into turn order as follows: Zeroth, Alexx, Pentagan, Kyo, Lucia, WinterSong The two enemies at hand had been quite formidable for the group. It was very different to see humans with real thoughts. Tactics greatly exceed that of computer AI even if it was a good enough AI to learn. Torak had looked at Winter with a grin. Now that the heat of the battle had slowly slightly and he had stepped a bit farther out of the smoke and the light was now dissipated one would easily be able to make out the red cursor above his head showing evidence of previous player killing.  The large man with an axe grunted slightly before spitting at the ground. "You make me sick" he said, as if he had seen these people for something vile despite his clear murderous intent.  He rose his axe swiftly, as it began glowing a blood red. "Gillotine!" he had announced as he brought his axe straight up in the air and began dropping it down on WinterSong. It was a decently slow attack but she was far too close to retreat. Quickly Pentagan had lunged forward with his spear directly at the enemy, cutting himself between the attack and Winter while also making a direct attack himself.  Pentagan had been hit for 56 damage, leaving him at the brink of his life, though also hitting Torak for an ample amount of damage, cutting him down to the same state, both of them open for the next hit directed to them. An opening had been made for Winter to finish him, if she could? On the other side of the battlefield, Tristian the scimitar user had charged directly at Lucia. He begun spinning his blade rapidly as it also turned a deep blood red.  "Fan of Death" he had recited as if hes said it many times before. His red cursor could also be seen at this point. He was also evidently a reoccuring murderer. The shot is directly at Lucia however he had a gap to close. (I will allow anyone to intercept this attack however Tristian is a high damage character and Lucia is rather injured. Kyo had seen the enemy charging forward with his incredibly flashy sword art. He had know Lucia's was on a long fuse and probably wasnt available yet. Still, he didn't want to harm a player, but perhaps just using a sword art to cancel another would work to keep from killing him.   In this time, Kyo had not noticed any of the occurances from behind, but it didn't sound good. Clear injuries were taken but there wasn't time for him to assess the scenario behind. He did notice pentagans health get into a very low state on his hud though.  Quickly Kyo lifted his blade to the side and charged against Tristian. It began glowing a violet glow as he charged before emitting a full purple light at the end of the two swipes. His initial shot would be intended to try to redirect the attack sent towards Lucia, even if Kyo had to absorb it himself. He would then take the second swing to try and injure the enemy without killing him.

PRIVATE THREAD Notes: Once the combat begins we will be broken down into turn order as follows: Zeroth, Alexx, Pentagan, Kyo, Lucia, WinterSong Kyo had attempted to intercept the attack with his own sword art, Violet Gale.  Kyo had rolled a 26 for attack. +25% = 32 Tristian had rolled a 16 for attack. +200% = 48 Kyo had suffered 16 damage, but continued to carry out his second attack. Kyo had rolled a 26 for attack. +25% = 32 Tristian had been unable to defend, due to being mid attack. Tristian had suffered 32 damage, Leaving him at 23 health. The enemy had jumped back and started to panic. One could see he was far more than overly concerned with his health bar, he was still at around 40% of health. His blades red glow began to fade, and with it, Tristians health bar began to drop rapidly as well. "No! DAMN YOU!" he bellowed out as his healthbar dropped to 0 and his body faded into dust.  The unbeknownst drawback to his sword-art is that for such high damage, if Tristian is unable to bring down his foe, 50% of his health will be lost after the attack ends.  Only one visible foe was left, but who knows of what had happened in the other room?  Next Turn: Lucia Conditions Cooldowns Lucia: Futatsumizuchi: 1 Turns Torak Lv. 3

Lucia put her hand on Kyo's shoulder and uttered a "Thank you" before turning around to face Torak. She didn't even pay attention to Tristian's contorted face. Wielding her broadsword, she drew her dominant arm back like she was drawing a bow and placed her other hand on the flat of the blade. Breaking into sprint, she activated ≪Acrobatics≫ to perform a slide to cover the majority of the distance before lunging forward and thrusting her sword forward at his chest, using her hand to guide the pointy end where it needed to go.
