PRIVATE THREAD Notes: Once the combat begins we will be broken down into turn order as follows: Zeroth, Alexx, Pentagan, Kyo, Lucia, WinterSong Lucia had rolled an 24 for attack. Mace Kobold had rolled a 17 for defense. Kobold Trooper suffers 7 damage, 43 health remaining. The Kobold Trooper had swung at the last second, forcing Lucia to dodge while getting a decent glance in.  Zeroth had readied his spear above his head again, not too unlike the last time he attempted his sword art. "HEAVENS EMBRACE!" he yelled as he let his spear free from his hand, full force. It glew a vibrant gold as it had a certain aura about it. It made contact with the Kobold swordsmen before it even knew what had hit him.  Zeroth had rolled a 31 (54, +1.75% Heavens Embrace) Kobold Trooper rolled a 14 for defense. Kobold Trooper suffers 40 damage, 10 health remaining. The spear had peirced directly into the head of the Kobold and had done significant damage. The Kobold was not quite out of the fight yet though. From the other side of the wall, Alexx had readied himself to block the attacks on Pentagan as WinterSong had stepped up. Alexx had decided to then try to help Pentagan while the beast was distracted. "You okay man?" he asked as he tried to pry the gate. "I'll live just figure out a way to get it off!" he demanded as he struggled in place, clearly not able to move an inch. The Kobolds had begun launching their assault now. From outside the room in the dark hallway the Kobold had now lowered its claymore and began to charge directly at WinterSong with it as if it were a lance. She was readied for his attack though (+5 to roll for WinterSong as no attack was made)  Kobold Trooper rolled a 27  for attack WinterSong had rolled a 13 for defense (+5 = 17) WinterSong suffered 10 damage, 50 health remaining. The shot had connected but WinterSong seemed to be will prepared for it, guiding the claymore with her sword and redirecting it into a wall leaving it vulnerable for Kyo's followup attack.  The other two Kobolds had also begun their charge at the party. The one with the mace was already in close proximity to Lucia, making a wide swing to aim low for her.  Kobold Trooper rolled a 25 for attack Lucia had rolled a 17 for defense. Lucia had suffered 8 damage, 52 health remaining. The final Kobold, nearly dead had ran directly at the unarmed Zeroth.  Flailing its sword as it almost seemed to be in a panic rage due to its injury to the head. Kobold Trooper had rolled a 26 for attack Zeroth had rolled a 51 for defense. Despite the shout of Heaven's Embrace, the attack did not kill. Trying to guard with her broadsword, she had limited success as she was still struck for 8 damage. Using the force from the stroke to jump backwards, she immediately turned and ran straight for the Sword Kobold. Now, how is she supposed to catch up with it? Well, considering the size of her sword compared to her and the distance, it was time to try out her idea. With a running start, Lucia stabbed the broadsword into the ground, activating her ≪Acrobatics≫ skill to lift her up into a rolling vault while still gripping her broadsword, launching herself straight at the Kobold as a spinning wheel of crazy. This probably wasn't going to win any awards, but it was her best bet at getting at least a single strike on time.

Kyo had rushed behind the beast, watching as the opening was made by WinterSong. Quickly Kyo tried to cut at the back of the legs of the Kobold, stopping its charge through towards Pentagan. He would swipe for the legs while darting past back to Winter and Alexx's side as he couldn't distract the enemy. Provided he got past it he would turn to Winter with a "Good work!"

It dropped its blade and held at its side where it growled in pain.  Kyo had rolled a 25 for attack. Kobold Trooper had rolled a 17 for defense. Kobold Trooper suffers 8 damage, 42 health remaining. The cut would not successfully cut deep enough to impair the movement. Kyo would succeed in getting past the enemy. "And you too." She responded without missing a beat to Kyo, returning her stance without taking her eyes off the Claymore. "How are we doing back there?" Winter quickly asked over her shoulder, wondering about the efforts being made to free Pentagan.  Without waiting a reply, she replayed how Kyo had striked at the legs and immediately something clicked. Without hesitation, Winter raised her blade over the height of her head, inhaling deeply as she thought briefly about their need to stun the opponent over their need for aoe damage. "Stand back!" She warned Kyo, A dash forward would close the distance between her and the beast.  "Huu!" She exhaled, allowing the narrow passage to briefly be lit by a flurry of lightening quick strikes as Winter performed her whirlwind slash on the Claymore Kobold.

(-.25% WS = 5) WinterSong had rolled a 21/100 needing under 25 to stun. Kobold Trooper had rolled a 22 for defense. Kobold Trooper suffers 0 damage, 42 health remaining. Stun was successful. The Kobold Trooper had dropped back, being stunned for one turn as she spun to do her second attack. WinterSong rolled a 30 for attack. (-.25% WS = 22.5) WintersSong had rolled a 66/100 needing under 25 to stun. WintersSong had rolled a 6/100 needing under 7 to critical. WinterSong damage  doubled for critical, 45. Kobold Trooper had been unable to rolled due to being stunned. Kobold Trooper suffers 45 damage, 0 health remaining. The second strike struck critical with the extra umph from «Burst» , effectively splitting the enemy directly in half before it broke into a quick flare of blue particles.  The gate continued to remain undisturbed, remaining dormant and closed. Zeroth had quickly drawn a dagger from his bag and charged at the enemy with the sword, smashing it for 7 damage, cutting down the remaining sliver of health it had. "Get ready for that next one!" he said, watching as the Mace Kobold charged the two who were in close proximity. It made a large sweep from a bit of a distance, potentially hitting both Lucia and Zeroth. Kobold Trooper rolled a 41 for an attack - Zeroth Kobold Trooper rolled a 27 for an attack - Lucia Zeroth had rolled a 29 for defense. Lucia had rolled a 9 for defense. Zeroth suffered 12 daamge, 68 remaining. Lucia suffered 16 damage, 36 remaining. The mace had connected with its two targets hard, launching them back and into a wall. The damage would have hurt briefly but not enough to cripple or knock anyone unconcious. Yeah, that move didn't seem to be so effective. As she recovered from a rough landing, the Kobold was finally killed, but she was struck by the Mace-wielding Kobold she had ignored in favor for the Sword user and had taken damage for that mistake. However, she now has a Two-Handed Sword and a powerful Sword Art that killed a Kobold in a single execution with her weaker Curved Sword. Charging forward, she was going to have her revenge. Taking the stance as she ran, her Broadsword glowed the same shade of blue everyone else had seen before. 流派湖影蒼月剣術初伝 "Ryuuha Koei Sougetsu Kenjutsu Shoden "School of the Azure Moon Lake Shadow, Beginner Level Sword Technique: Two slashes of blue, two strikes of death. Her broadsword sliced through the air as she proudly manifested the fury of the River Dragons. 「貳蛟龍」！ Futatsumizuchi!" Twin River Dragons!"

(+1.00% TRD = 50) Kobold Trooper had rolled a 25 for defense. Kobold Trooper suffers 25 damage, 18 health remaining. Lucia had rolled a 26 for attack. (+1.00% TRD = 52) Kobold Trooper had rolled a 6 for defense. Kobold Trooper suffers, 46 damage, 0 health remaining. The second strike struck had obliterated the Kobold, effectively ending the fight. The Kobold had burst into nothing more than dusts and the group had once again emerged victorious without any major injures even with the trap involved. The gate had lifted from Pentagan and the gate on the other side rose as well with a stairwell behind it to ascend up to the second floor. Zeroth grabbed his spear and walked over to Lucia, giving her a pat on the head. "Great work" he said before looking over to Alexx and Pentagan, "All good guys?" he asked before they got up and started walking over. "Yeah, just a little trap wont bring me down." Winter exhaled heavily as the lizard burst into oblivion before her eyes.... maybe she was imagining it, but the droplets felt cool against her skin. For the battle that remained on the other side of the gate, she was largely not paying attention - still lost in the moment of having performed her sword art.  It was only when Lucia declared her twin river dragons, Winter was reminded about the threat that carried on for her party members. But when she looked through the bars to see how they were doing, all she could say was  "Whoa..."  As soon as the gate was lifted she ran over straight to Pentagan, rummaging in her pockets and pulling out a small vial of hp potion to offer to him, "Are you sure you're alright?" She paused and eyed the gate on the opposite side. "I don't think we're out of the woods yet..."

Kyo looked amazed as Winter had brought down her enemy in two quick strikes. A "damn..." let out softly on its own, as if his awe couldn't be contained. His sword art didn't do nearly that effective of a hit last time he used it on these enemies. Quickly his thoughts returned to the battle, running over to the gate with Winter to see Pentagans conditions, though while approaching he was able to catch a glimpse of the amazing display Lucia had performed on the opposite side.  'Damn these girls are strong' he thought to himself, as almost a reminder to keep to know who not to piss off. He sheathed his sword as the gates receded back up and begun to reach for a potion before he had seen Winter was already on it. "Great work everyone! Hope no ones beat up too badly!" he said, offering Pentagan a hand to pull him off the ground.

We came well prepared!" he said with a smirk, opening his side pouch revealing several little items for healing and possibly other combat uses. He quickly chugged a potion down restoring 50 health to his bar. "Good as new! See!" he said as his health bar returned to its full green state. Winter simply nodded and watched as Pentagan's hp bar was replenished, pocketing her potion for a more critical moment.  "Everyone is well..." Winter responded hesitantly to Kyo after making quick observations of her party members. She wanted to speak the words carefully, fearful that being too confident would be a bad omen for the next perils they were sure to have to face. "Lucia took a few nasty hits back there didn't she?" Though she was small and packed a lot of power, Winter couldn't help but feel concerned. "We should probably stay closer together next time... Do we have someone to mitigate damage to?"

PRIVATE THREAD Notes: Once the combat begins we will be broken down into turn order as follows: Zeroth, Alexx, Pentagan, Kyo, Lucia, WinterSong "Hmm." Alex looked with a smirk, looking down at his shield that hes already utilized as a block for people. He felt rather cocky. Overly confident in his abilities to block attacks, though he was well experienced in it already. "Alex should have that." Zeroth said as he began walking towards the stairs. "I suppose its time we move on now." The party continued on up a small spiral stairwell made of stone. It was quite a long ways up to just the second floor. After all, the tower looked massive from the outside so it couldn't have been a small three floors on the inside. Upon arrival at the top a few already dead Kobold mobs could be seen in the first room. Zeroth had smiled "Perhaps someone else is already ahead of us doing this. It'll make it all the easier to get through. Hopefully they don't go into the boss fight though. It would be best if we ban together and planned it all out in advance." he continued through the room. It was rather strange though. Something was rather unusual about the corpses. Zeroth stopped and held his arm out without saying anything, trying to establish communication in his party to cease movement. "Something isn't right here" he said very seriously. "Enemy's corpses don't remain after they've been killed." Zeroth had lowered his hand to a small silver wire that had been only a few steps aheah. He had looked around the room to see the wire holding some kind of contraption above the room. It was evidently a trap. But by who, and why. "Everyone watch your step through here. Be very careful as we continue this floor. Someone would have had to arm these traps. Im not sure if it was to kill enemies here or not but it doesn't make sense with these corpses here." Zeroth continued walking into the next room as the party followed, hopefully stepping over the trap. Zeroth had his spear drawn at this point. Ready for anything. As he walked into the doorway he quickly dove forward as a sword could be seen swung from someone around the corner. As the party would advance into the room it could be seen that this was no npc. This was a player. One who clearly wasn't sitting there waiting for a creature to come through. He must have been waiting them for ambush for a while in advance. It must have been him who armed the first trap. The man wore a sword and had a broken smile as he began clashing weapons with Zeroth. His gear looked all raged as if hes been out in the fields fighting since the first hour of release and hasn't stopped since. After a few seconds of clashing weapons Pentagan yelled out to the party to get back, noticing a trip wire within the room, pushing them back into the hallway as Zeroth had sprun a trap within the room he was already in. Smoke clouds released from the corners of the room as through the cloud of smoke an axe flung towards the party only to be blocked by Alexx with his shield. From the other end of the hallway smoke had also begun releasing as a player with a scimitar began charging toward the party. As he made his advances he had tossed some throwing needles at the party. Everyone had successfully blocked theirs except Kyo, hitting him for 1 damage. A small paralysis would overcome his body restraining any movements for one turn. The interior of the room with the sword wielder and Zeroth was now cut off, no one could see inside to know what was going on. These were real people though. Would it be the same as fighting a monster? The party had centered in the hallway quickly around Kyo to defend him while he was paralyzed. Pentagan stood on the side of the axeman, who's name Torak could now be seen. Alexx had quickly shifted to the back of the party lifting his shield as the other enemy Tristian, charged. Both of the enemys had a level 3 beside their names. Lucia did not expect her next opponent to be players. Well, she thought of the possibility, coupled with the fact that her years in the dojo involved human partners. Raising her still-equipped Two-Handed Sword, she had absolutely no qualms about picking a fight against another hostile human, other than the fact that there might be a penalty for doing so. Raising her Two-Handed Sword, she switched to a reverse grip while turning her body, taking a sideways stance with her blade covering the entirety of her side (yay for size dissonance) as she shielded both herself and Kyo whom she put behind her (relative to her direction). With one hand on the handle and the other on the blade, she should be able to use her reflexes to deflect flying projectiles and stab oncoming attackers, considering both the scimitar and the axe were slashing weapons.

While everyone else leaped into action, Winter hesitated when drawing her sword - due to the fact that their opponents appeared to be fellow players. "Why are you doing th--!!" but she halted mid-sentence, batting the projectiles away with her arm-guard just before they could hit her in the face.  "Agh! Stop this already! Before this goes too far!"  But the man with the exotic blade continued his charge and although Winter did not want to stay on the defense, she kept a close distance to Kyo and the group. She followed her party's lead and waited for an opening to be created as their enemies closed in.  "This is bad..." She whispered, trying not to lose sight of both targets.
