The artificial sun rose up and engulfed the floor with it's beautiful rays of light. Monsters, animals, npcs and player's of the like followed the sun by waking up themselves. However, not everyone was quite the early bird. In the Town of Beginnings, some rested comfortably on beds while others didn't have such a luxury, or simply decided against it.
"Urgh"
In an alley, there was an auburn-haired boy resting against the rough walls. His gear and clothing looked completely new, but didn't seem to be anything else that what the usual novice would own. A bit of drool escaped by the cracks of his mouth, just before he himself felt alike the drool. Unfortunately, he didn't have the luck to land on something somewhat soft like his drool. After he fell harshly down on the ground by his side, he was fully awake.
"Huh..."
He blinked several times, not affected by the impact as much. While he could feel the pain, there was no need to exclaim that it did while he was alone. Such things were things that took unnecessary effort, according to him. Now had he been with someone, maybe it would have been a good idea to maybe crack a grin or their face. But he was alone...
The boy pushed his body again into the sitting position, which he previously had. His eyes tried their best to stay open, but the unbearable itch made them squint. As he squinted, he felt himself yawning uncontrollably. His arms rose above him and soon continued to stretch in several directions, along with his neck.
'Wonder what the time is...'
He attempted several times to resist the itch, but found himself rubbing his eyes several times instead. After some time, the itch disappeared and he could finally look clearly again.
"Menu!"
By the boy's command, a menu display appeared before him. There were several different options in the rectangular menu, which sled downwards, but he simply looked at it for a bit before closing it.
'10 pm... Geez, I wish there was an alarm of some sort implemented in the menu... Not that I think it would help...'
He stood up softly without haste and looked around him. He finally realized that he was in an alley, which he was certain that it had been the place he last remembers from yesterday. It didn't brought any flashbacks, but simply reminded him of why he had been here in the first place. After buying that cool curved sword, which was way overpriced, he realized that he had used all of his money on the weapon. Thus, he was forced to wander the streets for a somewhat safe place to sleep.
'Ugh, I honestly didn't think sleeping outside would be that uncomfortable... Oh shit'
Perhaps he was too tired to remember that late at night, but he had heard of exploits that could be performed against sleeping players. Inside a city, PK'ing should be out of the question, he hoped. Even then, Pk'ing a newbie like him would bring no rewards, so he wasn't worried about that. But he had forgot about the items part, even if he was a newbie, you could never know these days. Some people were truly desperate.
"Let's see... Menu!"
"... Rip..."
The boy stared at the almost empty inventory with a deadpan.
"Just as empty as I remember!"
He grinned sarcastically, yet relieved no desperate people had taken his stuff. Albeit, he only had his clothes and the sword on him. Now that he looks at the curved sword more closely in the inventory, he recognizes that it looked identical to his old one. Why did he buy it...?
'Oh yeah... I lost my original one...'
While he had lost his whole fortune, it didn't trouble him that much. It might have been enough to sleep nicely at an inn for a few days, but that was it honestly. Plus, now he could earn something with quests. Now, obviously that wouldn't have been possible without any weapons. There were probably other methods, but Lukas preferred and had only heard of this.
'Hmm... I should probably go check to see if there are any novice quests. If not then maybe grinding really is the only way...'
He didn't like grinding if he had to be honest, since it usually took a lot of time and would in most cases become too easy for him to get any enjoyment out of the fight. Not only that, he wasn't sure of what he should be grinding. He didn't have a lot of knowledge about the game, despite him being trapped in it for some time. There was this one time where he found a pack of wolves and was then forced to run for his life. While thrilling and dangerous, it wasn't really effective in terms of progression and grinding.
'I saw some boars nearby the city... I wonder if they would be an effective grinding source...'
He put a thinking pose while he strolled through the city. Inside his head, he played with the scenario of trying to battle a boar. The fight went well, except for when he used his sword art. Just as he activated the sword art, the boar rushed against him and bashed him.
'Okay... No sword art then... or?'
Another scenario of him sneaking up to the boar played in his head. He stabbed the boar from the side, then quickly jumped over the boar and then used his sword art. In his head, the scenario played very well and seemed like a viable method.
'Alright, that should be good. Even if the boar doesn't die then, it should still do pretty much damage and confuse it a bit. I may be a bit too close to the boar after using it, but it shouldn't be hard to avoid it's attack when it's weakened and confused...'
"Alright!"
He cheered with a wide grin, as he smashed his tight fist onto his open palm. Just as he did so, he noticed that he was near his target. After walking a bit more, he reached a wooden post with several papers pinned on it.
'Wolf- Nope. Dun- Nonono, even a novice like me knows that literally suicide...'
"Hmm... Beginnings of the Beginnings...."
He murmured the name of the quest, as his eyes and lips followed the content of the paper.
"Slay 10 boars... Level 1 and up. Time limit is tomorrow...? Ugh, I don't know if that will be hard to do alone..."
The boy sighed while he looked at the task. He hoped there would be someone willing to help, which is why he spoke out loud in the first place. After all, doing things together were almost always better than doing it alone. Plus, he would be lying if he said that he wasn't a bit lonely recently. Thankfully, the quest level minimum requirement was for level 1 players, so he assumed that the boar were around that level too.

OOC: I tried my best mate, hope it was okay lol. Been a while since I roleplayed. Also, I don't know if the boar count is appropriate so just tell if I should lower it down. I just thought of some random number XD
