[Personality]
Easy to get along with and easy to befriend. That is the type of guy Karna is. He is a pleasant conversationalist rarely speaking ill of a person. He is a sincere guy who is honest with the people around him and rarely holds ill will towards somebody. Yet if there is one thing that stands out more than his friendly personality, it is his drive to become a hero. He is courageous enough to risk his life to save a stranger and is always willing to lend a hand. He is protective over people and always strives to protect them and everyone around him. While he may seem 'perfect' he is far from it. He puts others before himself usually leading him to overwork himself or even injury himself at times. A person may ask why would he be so stupid as to risk his life for even a stranger. It would be then that he doesn't answer them. He finds that he has more self-worth if more people praise him. His confidence and how he views himself relies on how others think of him.
He is easily depressed such as when somebody points out his flaws or whenever he fails to save somebody. He continues to try to save people so he can see that smile that reminds him so much of his father's smile. The smile of somebody that has hope and faith in the world.
[Biography]
The fire that consumed a young boy's world. A fire that consumes many, that was what Sebastian remembers. Sebastian was the only child to Jacob and Madison Blackwood. Madison was a nurse while his father was a firefighter. As a child Sebastian looked up to his father. Each and everyday he went out and saved countless of lives. Sebastian wanted to become somebody like him, which was why he joined cub scouts and boy scouts. There he found his passion for archery and it eventually grew into a hobby for him.
Yet after his thirteenth birthday party Sebastian forgot to turn the grill off. His father had a cookout to celebrate and told Sebastian to turn off the grill. During the night the house caught ablaze and only Sebastian survived. Jacob came and saved Sebastian, numerous burns all over his body. Sebastian miraculously came out alive but his father later on died from inhaling too much smoke. Yet what his father did afterwards would always stay with Sebastian. He saw his father's smile. His smile was full of happiness, relief, sincerity. Hot tears streamed down his face as he thanked the heaven for Sebastian's survival.
Later the fire department deemed the grill to be the cause. This caused Sebastian an unmeasurable amount of grief. His cousins, who he was staying with, treated him horribly after Sebastian told them that it was his fault. Why did he tell them this? Because it was right, he needed to get it off his chest and have somebody to discuss it with. Yet they gave him the cold shoulder and treated him horribly. It was his fault that they were dead and nothing could tell him otherwise.
After he got out of school he went and became a fire fighter and got a house on his own. He wanted to save people just like how he was saved. Each time he saved a person it gave him a sense of fulfillment, as if he was making up for the death of his family. Yet a certain day came when his neighbor and close friend's house was burning. Naturally he called the fire in and rushed in to save the family. The only one he could save was the daughter, Emilia.
They were both shocked, Emilia more so than Sebastian. But he blamed himself for not being quick enough to save his friend and her father. He took Emilia in as his adopted daughter so she wouldn't have to go to a foster home and just like that years passed by.
