"Oh, really?" Elpharae teased back, a little relieved. His dark hair was swept neatly over his other shoulder, and he let out a long exhale, smiling and shaking his head. "No, I don't think so. You're just so at home with your rapier, it's terrifying. I'm uncomfortable with my blade right now, so it's more like a prop that anything. One that glows, apparently." He laughed a little along with Athena, and then turned his attention to the sky, which was paling the tiniest bit, his attention caught on a white bird, the contrast of its white wings starkly shown against the pale sky.
"Hey," He started, thinking back. His eyes opened wide in realization, eyelashes fluttering open and closed as he shut his eyes, tapping his free finger against his cheek. The brunette paused. "Now that I think of it, we know each other fairly well, but haven't ever gone into town together. I wonder why not. I suppose I should ask you now, hmm?" He tilted his head, dark locks falling into his face as he impatiently pushed his hair behind his ear. "Athena, would you like to go into town with me? We can go anywhere in Tolbana," He coaxed, a spark of mischief lighting in his irises. "I can show you the nonexistent sights that you've already seen before, probably, and you can pretend to be interested." He joked, rubbing his wrists absentmindedly.
He offered a hand to Athena, before standing up, shaking himself before pulling her up, grinning playfully at her. "We should probably get out of the forest, anyways-both of our health bars are pretty low. Don't want to get eaten by any monsters. Think I would be okay with you, though," Elpharae added on thoughtfully, a wolfish smirk spreading across his face. "We make one hell of a team, if I do say so myself. And I do say so."
Taking her arm lightly and looping it around his, Elpharae spun towards the direction of the town, ignoring a party that sent the two strange looks in favor of unraveling and attaching herself to Athena, cooing over newly blossomed flowers and letting out a happy, subdued squeal when he uncovered an abandoned bird's nest, high up in a tree that he couldn't reach. Even though he knew that it was just a program, he couldn't help himself from finding pleasure in such trivial things. Looking over at Athena, he pulled her with him, dragging them in the direction of the town as he chattered happily, ready for their next adventure together.
