It was around midday in the town, the npc went about their business of carrying shipments and talking with player looking for quests. Rue sipped her tea as she watched the people go about what now seems like their daily lives from a small café she was partaking in. The soothing taste of her tea warmed her throat, placing her tea down with her pinky cushioning the placement on the plate. The gentle breeze kissed her porcelain skin as see turn her focus to the table. The table was rather busy, it had rather plain but functional sugar and creamer that were placed at the end of her table along with a equally boring tea pot. A three tier serving tray filled with colourful assortments of cakes stood in the middle of the table.Rue lifted the chocolate cherry cream cake off of the tray and laid it next to her. Cutting the tip off of the cake with her dessert fork she let the cherry filling ooze out of the cake, dapping the piece into the cherry filling she raised it to her mouth and placed her other hand under the fork. Rue opened her mouth slightly and tasted the cake, the rich chocolate flavor with the sweet and slightly tart taste along with the light cream, made Rue's taste buds dance. Placing the fork near her plate she blinked and open multiple windows showing her new quests. laying in the woods, gathering boar skin they were all rather tame quests. Rue looked to her map and plotted her route in the most efficient path to do her quests. The sever went to Rue's table and switched out her teapot, The sever wore a frilly and intricate dress. The dress reminded her of the maid cafes back home, Rue never went one to herself, but she knew of them through talk about anime. The server looked to Rue and with a smile spoke cheerfully" Is everything to your like miss". Rue turned from her planning to the server and spoke with a calm and quizzical tone. " Nothing in particular, maybe a few small grips, your tea sets are rather plain your establishment drinks and food are lavish, but your serving sets are plain they clash with the food". The server smiles, " Thank you for the compliment, are sets use to be highly decorative, but they were broken in a fight we are currently waiting for replacements". Rue's eyebrow raised at the severs response, " I guess it can't be helped, thank you for indulging me". Rue turned back to her planning as the server smiled and nodded as she left. Rue's eyes slid back to the streets of the town (Some people have no respect for things).

The sound of panes of leaded-glass falling from across the street on to the cobble stone road echoed into the café porch…the fragile window from the nearby tavern shattering into shards as a player wearing beginner armor sailed through the glass only to fall into a heap in the center of the well-travelled pathway only yards away from the café’ railing and Rue’s table. The table separated from the outside with only a well-build white railing, solidly made of the ever-present chestnut of the first floor… The man stirred slightly, a soft groan leaving him as the sound of the bells over the Tavern’s door ringed as the portal creaked open. The air that pushed out of the door was scented with the tint of fryer grease and whiskey, the cheers of the rowdy occupants inside contrasting well with the refined atmosphere of the formal café porch just outside of their doors. Relsialle appeared almost without warning, her foot kicking open the door wider as her leather boots tapped lightly on the wood of the threshold before landing on the cold grey stone of the street. She was dressed differently for town it seemed (see character profile pic), a black no-sleeved yukata…cut well short enough to provide free movement and revealing a tad more than most would prefer. A purple and black obi finished off the ensemble, her ever-present dagger tucked into the back of the tied belt…its steel pommel barely visible. On her bare thigh, just above her boots was the small pouch of her throwing needles…wrapped securely enough to get to in case if the tavern brawl turned nasty…the tattoo on her upper arm now plainly visible as well. The Irishwoman grinned like a cat as she raised her knuckles and popped them softly, her body language instantly placing her as the culprit of the nearby chaos, her hardened blue gaze staring at her victim as she sauntered closer with fury in her eyes. Her foot tilted back slightly before hammering into the unfortunate soul’s ribs, before leaning down to send her fist immediately into the player’s nose with a thick smack…the sound of wet bloodied flesh making a sickening noise as the pink marking of non-lethal damage appeared over him. The rogue let off a loud growl as his HP-gauge dropped to yellow, his stirrings indicating his surrender for the time being. A large white banner appeared above the musician as digital confetti appeared to congratulate her, the dual fought well, despite being heavily one-sided. The Irish-thief grinned wickedly as she raised her hands to the appreciative patrons of the bar-room…a loud cheer heard once more as the violence seemed to be finished for the time being. “Thank you all…so kind! The girl finally offered a quick bow, her bright pink hair shifting to each side of her face to frame it neatly. Relsialle turned to offer an exaggerated bow to the café patrons as well, raising her familiar ocean-blue gaze to the nearby Rue…her smile growing suddenly wider at the sight of the familiar face. The bar-room’s hardwood door opened once more to reveal the losing party’s friends…slowly creeping over to pick up their friend should the outlandish girl turn her rage on them as well. (-50 Col for Outfit)

Rue sipped her tea and enjoyed her sweets. Unfortunately the world of Sword Art decided that cola was not worthy to be featured in the game, her body craved the carbonated taste. She placed her tea down as she finished out her route for her quests, waiting for the server to come and bring the bill and loud crash interrupted the peace. The sounds of glass cracked through the air and the sharp ringing of glass scarping on the cobbled road rang through the area. Rue turned to look at the commotion to see that the glass lay a few feet from the small girl. Her eyes narrow as she looked for the creator of the destruction who almost shoot glass at her. Looking to the bar that now had two entrances, the roaring of the patrons echoed to the streets. A man lay outside of the bar dazed as a familiar figure kicks the door open. It was non other then the trash talking rogue herself. The women worn clothes that akin to a kunoichi, but more revealing Rue could almost see everything the girl had no shame. The rogue walked over to the downed man, literally kicking him while he was down. Rue had minor qualms about attacking a man while they were down, but would not be to proud to do it in a life or death situation. The mans health declined into the yellow and the victory fanfare of her, bar brawl dual ended in a sad manner. The violents loving rogue would bow to the crowd and to the others partaking the café. Rue's and Relsialle gaze locked for a quick moment as the puckish girl grinned. Rue would look away uninterested and pour herself another tea while she waited for the staff to collect themselves from the little bar fight.

" Sometimes things are more fun with your life on the line…" ☒ @tagged ✐ 000 ✉ notes Relsialle Lv4 The fallen player was dragged not at all gently by his inebriated friends as they moved to pull him to the safety of their next haunt, most likely to nurse their sorrow in yet another round of Floor 1’s cheap ale and spirits. The player-base had relied on the simulated substances more and more as the mental health of the server reached new lows…most likely the result of the violence and death that had become all the more present as each day passed. While the front line had gained confidence in the dungeon in the weeks since Kayaba had appeared to notify them all of their predicament, it seemed those that didn’t have the stomach for the push to freedom grew ever more lost and discontent. Relsialle seemed to be one of the few exceptions, almost coming alive at the challenges that lay ahead of her, her fun-loving attitude and propensity to gamble with her life acting as a crutch to keep her mostly sane given the measure of psychological trauma that she had experienced thus far…the same hardships that any player faced in the push for survival. The Irishwoman narrowed her eyes as Rue ignored her victory, a soft puff of air leaving her as she disregarded the teen with a sharp disrespectful tisk. A young player had soon emerged from the opening door, the bells ringing to signify the heavy portal’s entrance…a heavy wooden mug in his hand topped with the hefty foam that the Floor’s favored dark ale was known for. The player has seemed vastly too young to drink, his age obviously that of Rue, his beginner armor showing signs of wear form his own battles…A drinking age had not been enforced as of yet, the NPC law that was present in the town thinking in terms of the feudal fantasy era that the game had been based on…despite the very real effects that the liquid simulation afforded. Relsialle turned to the kid with a hearty slap on the back as she took her next beverage from the young swordsman, offering him a bright smile in thanks as he went back inside. The pink-haired kunoichi turned back to the silent Rue, shaking her head…”Come on little sis! Ditch that snooze-fest and come have a drink with me! We haven’t even celebrated that damn Trap-Setter victory yet!” The woman yelled, her tipsy voice carrying enough to disturb the café’s guests: both player and NPC alike. Her words were accented heavily as her words slurred slightly from her own celebrations moments before…the challenge obviously accepted when her judgement was impaired and her confidence artificially elevated. Her free hand shifted to sit on her hip, the mug tipping back slightly to offer her a small sip which she took gladly as a reward for her one-sided victory.

The smell of ale assaulted Rue's nose as the slightly intoxicated rogue asked her to join her for a drink. Looking past the pink haired girl and back to the bar, glass lined the road as the friends of the man she beat dragged him away. Looking back to the girl Rue's eyes narrowed. Rue could not stand how she was just celebrating over one meaningless victory. " I don't drink". Rue calmly declined her offer as she looked to the other customers. They were looking at the two girl, and had a mix of annoyed and confused looks directed to the two girls. Mostly due to Relsialle ruining the atmosphere with her mannerisms, and the fact that they two polar opposed girls were related. Finishing her tea, rue placed it back on the plate soften the sound with her pinky. Blinking her screens of maps and quests blinked away. Placing the money on the table with a nice tip, Rue presents and desire to stay any longer flatlined. Rue looked back to Relsialle, " I have better things to do than intentionally poison myself. I don't see a reason to celebrate over nothing, what did killing a clever kobold accomplish. I'll tell you what nothing, it accomplished nothing we are no closer to the one hundredth floor then we were before". Rue's tone was calm, but it started to raise as she continued. " Now I am going to do something productive, Big Sister enjoy your celebration". Rue's eyes stared at Relsialle and her expression looked mildly irritated. The small girl stood up and looked away from the rogue straightened her clothes and sighed as she walked past the pink haired girl.

The Irish kunoichi grinned as she sauntered closer, the lively music in the tavern across the street kicking up as the patron’s entertainment had directed herself to Rue for the moment…the girl leaning slightly on the sturdy wooden railing beside the Japanese girls table. A male NPC appeared soon after to sweep up the shards of glass outside of the tavern, a frustrated look on his face at the destruction that had taken place moments before…the cardinal system that drove everything doing well to add life and atmosphere to even the irresponsible behavior of the players. The pink-haired rocker grinned wickedly as she studied the obviously more-refined teen, the sharp smell of ethanol present on her breath. “What’s this…Meaningless Victory?” The girl mocked in her thick accent before raising her tone to imitate Rue’s robotic response, fianlly offering a wink of her crystal blue eyes in jest…“Never sell the small things short love…We survived, and if survival isn’t worth celebrating than I don’t know what is…” The girl added in a impromptu lecture, her smile softening slightly before bringing the beverage once more to her lips. Her strange philosophy made sense given the unusual nature of their situation regardless, the musician seemingly making the best of what little they had…virtual or not, all in the name of fun… The older girl blinked before continuing, before offering a quiet chuckle, “Besides, it was a great time at any rate!” Relsialle exclaimed, her giggle turning into a boisterous laugh, forcing the appalled patrons to start excusing themselves from the patio, the younger Rue now joining them as she stood to walk past the leaning thief…The difference in the two establishments was intriguing none the less, one serving the attitudes of those that were raised in privilege and the other a more working background…it seemed even in the level-playing field of SAO socioeconomic background made a difference… Relsialle tisked as she shook her head in pity, before pushing herself up to enjoy a bit more of her beverage in the familiar setting of the bar-room… “You’re going to snap if you keep this up short-stuff! Got to burn off that attitude of your's somehow and I would hate to be there when it happens...Especially when there is real danger!” The rogue raising her voice to lecture still in hearing, turning back towards the door of the destroyed tavern, a slight aura of worry tainting her sharp features.

Rue halted at the Women's last words. The words she spat out, may have lacked refinement but they were not wrong. Rue clenched her teeth and hand's as she thought about the rogue's words, but also found it odd that she would care about if Rue snapped or not. See turned around and headed for the bar. Rue entered through the door of the bar, bells rang as see entered. Looking around see saw spilled beer and pieces of wood and glass littering the floor. Walking over to the bartender and looking around at her selection. Not seeing any kind of menu around see asked to bartender, " What kinds of beverages done you have"? The bartender looked at the girl and slammed a tall heavy wooden mug down, on the table. "That's wot we got your majesty, 5 col". Rue's expression flickered from his response, haven't they ever heard of customer service? Rue reluctantly paid for the drink and carried it in both hands, looking around she saw the rogue sitting at a table. placing the drink down on the table and sitting across from Relsialle, Rue crossed her legs and placed her hands on her lap. The bartender chided at the rogue, " Oi Rel didn't know you knew the queen mom herself. U do a little cleaning on the side, love to see ya in maid outfit in or out of it". The rest of the people in the bar laughed with the bartender. Rue looked to the women, her calm expression looking like it was going to break. holding the annoyance from her voice, " You have made a good argument, and it was rude of me to refuse your offer I apologize I would be more thank happy to celebrate our victory together". One of the other patron from behind Rue added his two sense into Rue conversation. The man turned around and spoke to the back of her head. " Well that's a proper apologize from her highness herself, bet your never done that before. Must be rather humbl..". Rue was at her limit, she slammed her head into the man's nose a light crack was heard and followed by a crash. The man fell off his chair and held his nose and he rolled on the floor. The bartender spoke in surprise " Fucken hell, easy there love we were just playing, don't have to make Bill's face look ever more like his ass"! Rue continued to talk to Relsialle in a much more calm way now. " As I was saying, I will celebrate our victory, however only for a little while then I am leaving to finish my quests". Rue fixed her hair and made sure the man did not bleed on it.

Relsialle’s mug was half-empty, the wooden vessel sounding hollow as she sat it on her corner table, pushing herself up on a stool. Her smile was warm as the emotional distraction seemed to melt away in the presence of good, but rather rough-and-tumble, company. A small lacquered wooden box of spirits appeared, served by a smiling waitress, a low-level player raising his hand to indicate where the small shot of sharp smelling whiskey had been ordered from. The waitress had disappeared almost as quickly as she dropped off the order…a young girl, no older than Rue or Janeiro, her footsteps nearly silent in the house of rowdies and characters… The pink-haired musician scrunched her nose slightly at the gift, a soft sigh leaving her as she realized her own state of impairment…finally lifting the small cup to the swordsman in appreciation and tilting it back to burn a hole in her throat. She slammed the glass on the table before bringing her bare arm to her lips to wipe of the small remains of the powerful liquor. The thief’s eyes, widened in surprise as she small a familiar girl with white hair appear at the door…the small bells ringing to signal her presence despite the large gaping hole in the window nearby, small shards of glass silently waiting for closing to be cleaned up and reformed by the system. The kunoichi’s crystal gaze widened in surprise as the solemn girl appeared silently at the table with her own beverage…the mug seeming larger than her in her young hands…forcing a wicked but appreciative grin to appear on her sharpened features. “There we are sister…Good to see you…” The older girl said appreiciately with a warm smile. The scent of whiskey and violence still hung about her, a by-product of what had seemed to be a day of solitary celebration despite the company that had come in gone in the hours that flew by. The bartender’s voice carried well in the shabby pub…the artificial intelligence of the NPC knowing well how to make their voice dominate over the din of conversation that filled the antique space. “Don’t start with your sweet talk to me Sean, you couldn’t afford me either way…Now quit that sweet talk of yours before your wife hears and dips that head in the fryer with the chips!” Relsialle chided lifting her head to give the bartender hell for his comments, her accent thick as the innuendo rapid fired from her lips almost as she fought. The place erupted in boisterous laughter as the bar-keep blushed softly, shaking his head to add his own hearty chuckle to the mix, forcing Relsialle to slap the table at her own joke. “Ahh, no worries love, but I’ve got to break you two from all of those apologies…Don’t get me wrong but…” Just then the rogue’s sentence to Rue was cut off from the drunken patron nearest to them, using the brave moment from Rue as an opportunity to cut into her verbally with the famous European wit. The girl moved to pick up the empty cup for use as a projectile at Bill just as Rue’s head flew into the man with a quick hello to the nose…the sound of it cracking almost echoing in the busy bar. She sat down the improvised weapon almost as quick as she picked it up…a neon eyebrow rising in surprise, “Well then…I wouldn’t mind the company!” She exclaimed in response, just as the bartender issued a quick apology, the young teen obviously not used to the cutting comments of the more working crowd. “Don’t worry Sean, she’s just giving him a proper greeting!” The dagger-wielder exclaimed with a giggle her voice rising once more to speak to the crowd, “Besides…You guys should be thanking her, she dressed this place up a bit and saved my skin in that dungeon earlier…” The admission leaving the musician with a wink turning back to her polite companion, “She killed that bloody lizard I was telling you guys about…”

Rue looked at the girl as she went back and forth with Sean. " Yea yea, you would be begging me for a little slap and tickle if you saw my todger". Rue was overwhelmed by the atmosphere of the place. Relsialle cut her apology short and accepts her company. Rue looks at the pink haired rogue curiously. One day she a playful rogue throwing herself head first into danger, and other days she spending time with someone who she does not particularly like. " Why did you, ask me to come here and why do you care if I snap or not? Also why do you keep calling me little sister you know my name"? The barroom fell silent for a moment, as Sean spoke up." Wot this posh little dove, sorted the beasty. I would go arse over tit for her but, she probably take my bangers and mash though". Rue look at the bartender, Was he even speaking English? A few others commented in on hear that the lithe girl took out the kobolds." Your Ace in my books love, do ya have a name"? Rue understood the request for her name. In a confused toe and expression she looked around the bar and responded. " It's Rue". The partons cheered and raised their mugs. they chugged their drinks and slammed on the table and looked to Rue. Sean started the chant. " Chug Chug Chug"! Soon the whole bar chanted. Rue looked to the mug a black liquid fizzed and bubbled. It kinda of reminded her of cola. Picking the mug up with both hand she, brought the drink to her lips. It was bitter like tea but had a carbonated burn to her throat, that she has missed. Her throat would bob up and down as she drank the beer. Finishing the drink she slammed it down. Her head felt light and her body, felt hot and buzzy. Sean and the men cheered!

" Sometimes things are more fun with your life on the line…" ☒ @tagged ✐ 000 ✉ notes Relsialle Lv4 Relsialle laughed, joining the others in the back and forth that had the crowd laughing…the jovial atmosphere of the place almost infectious as the sound of the diversions echoed into the street outside forcing passersby to peer in through the broken window and attempt to get in on the fun. “You cheeky bastard!” The thief exclaimed with a smile, throwing the empty wooden box at the bartender…the small object shattering on a pillar beside him forcing him to duck for cover, the crowd roaring once more at the verbal sparring. Of all of the places on the first floor, this had become one of the most familiar to her, the best link she had to memories that existed outside of the game. The only difference between this place and her own haunts back home honestly was the addition of some hard music playing the background…often her own songs gracing the ever present stereo. She offered a quiet nod to her companion, not at all lost on the surprising nature of her newest acquaintance…it was after all only a short time ago that they were a hair away from killing each other if it weren’t the danger of the dungeon traps uniting them for that fateful time. The rogue lifted an eyebrow at the young teen’s question, to the point as always despite the humor swirling around them, “No reason at all, just habit I think…” The answer was simple although she had a greater answer in mind underneath her fun loving exterior, familiar terms were a good thing, and all the girls of the server had to take care of each other more so given their rare status. And all players were trapped here together at any rate, familiarization fostered unity. The philosophical rogue blinked before offering a warm smile, patting the table just as the bartender proclaimed his acceptance for Rue. The Irish-woman toasted the girl just as she raised her to the crowd’s attention with her earlier story, the long dead kobold assassin known by word-of-mouth most-likely with a good bit of embellishment from the kunoichi’s stories. The girl tipped her own mug as the groups urging only choosing to take a much smaller portion for herself, letting Rue back in the moment in an effort to crack her robotic shell. The wooden glass was sat back beside her a measure or two of liquid still remaining, a thin veil of rare responsibility for the younger girl appearing. She cheered along with the rest of them, finally lifting her glass to the girl on her own, as her crystal gaze the younger in a gesture that only veteran of combat shared…seemingly the first true gesture of comradery that the pair shared between them.

*Here you go love on the house". Sean refilled her cup, before Rue could protest. Sean looked to Relsialle," Your Off your trolley if you think your getting any on house you dishy prat". Sean walked back to the bar. Rue looked to the Pink Haired Girl. It might of been the alcohol talking, but they seemed to have, for this moment and this time at this place shown each other true comradely. Rue's body felt light as she put her elbows on the table and rested her head on the cool wood. " Why do you act the way you do, you say fun, but i thinks theirs more to it than that". The other customers begin chanting again, as the small girl softly groaned. Picking her mug up once and see, began drinking it. Her throat bob up and down pausing for a few moments to stop herself from gaging. Sean chimed in, " Dove you got great gag reflect control their, the princess been playing the skin flute behind the rose brush". Rue slammed the mug down of the table, with much more force. Turning to Sean, she spoke with a less unreserved voice then the rouge was use to. " You think.. theirs anyone good enough of this". She pointed to herself. Sean laughed, " No dove but, i certainly would gave it the old college try"! The room filled with laughter. Rue lifted herself off of the chair, slowly and stumbled slightly as she stood up. Turning to Relsialle she smiled and waved, " Thanks for the chat big sis, but i... have..to do things". The small girl stumbled with her words as she tried to articulate. Rue breathed in and began to stumble to the door. The alcohol hit the lithe girl like a trunk, her vision was blurry sounds were muffled and the world felt like it was shaking to the girl!

Nights like these were getting more difficult to come by as more and more players opted to simply drown out there sorrows and depression in simulated nerve impulses offered by these establishments. This was still one of the more jovial atmospheres, embellished stories of the front line in the dungeon supplying much needed morale to a quickly dwindling player-base. Relsialle had held the place in high regard for this atmosphere, supplying a healthy dose of stories herself to the mixture. The girl looked up to the normally stingy proprietor as he appeared, widening her eyes in surprise at his sudden generosity, only to offer a disappointed growl at the sudden rejection of her own desire to partake in the sudden dose of charity. The thief’s shoulders fell, a soft ‘hmph’, heard from her as she wrinkled her nose…as if she was a cat that just gotten punished for attempting to steal one too many treats from the bag. “Bah! It’s all watered down anyways you stingy bird!” The pink-haired rocker fired back to Sean with a grin in jest, waving her hand for him to leave them be for the time as a new round of customers waited at the greasy bar for his return… Relsialle’s disappointment changed into a smirk as the girl suddenly dropped her guard, the soft red tint of the younger girl’s cheeks showing the effect of the quick consumption that she had taken part in, forcing the rogue to giggle as a new side of the robotic general was revealed finally to the world. The musician offered a soft knowing smile at the question, deep blue eyes looking on as Sean scooted away…confident that the fragility of memory would spare her when the sobriety of morning would greet them, “Aye…Those were able to pull some sort of spirit to take the first steps out to the plains had to have something they are fighting for…You got something you’re fighting for don’t you sis? Everyone expects me to be the best... perfect). She has to leave this game, she has to meet everyone's expectations. Her parents want her to follow their example and be even more then proficient at running a business. Her Grandmother wants her to took over the flower town, when she older. Her Grandfather wants her to open a Dojo with him and her Fans expect her to beat this game. Rue eyes water and tear up. " You said people, have reasons to fight... I don't.
