[Just letting people get a feel for Athena in an actual social setting. This is probably very much in the past for a lot of people, so I apologize.]
Violetta, or as she would now be known, Athena, opened her eyes to an entirely new world. A world that would now take up the majority of her time. School didn't matter here. Life outside of Sword Art Online didn't matter. What did matter was her ability to try and level up before anyone else. All she'd have to do is defeat enemies and collect data on a wide number of creatures. As well as find a party that would make up for her weaknesses. She pulled up her stat window and looked at the differing stats; already formulating strategies for herself within this new world. The thing that she forgot was that she was laying in the middle of a busy street just casually looking at her stat window. Not that she cared what she looked like to others, but other people were starting to stare and make strange faces as they walked by.
Athena watched some other players walk by out of the corner of her eye. I should probably get up. Athena stared at the sky for a second before she sat up. As she stood, she looked at the body of her avatar. It was very nice-looking, and she was sure that men would probably come running to her to be in her party. Though, she looked around for a second, but nobody was looking at her now that she was off the ground. So she simply fell on the ground again. She made a small shriek and pretended to be fainting. "I can't go on! I can't do it anymore! My party has left me behind!" She continued to act as she saw a swordsman who was walking right past her. "You're strong! W-Would you be in my party?" In all honesty, she hated that she had to stoop this low to get people to be in her party. Athena knew better than to be herself the first time she was meeting someone though. Athena was off-putting and made people feel uncomfortable because she was almost always trying to control them and get them to do what she says. The swordsman simply glared at her while she acted. As he did that, she rolled her eyes and realized that people weren't as kind as she thought they might be. Maybe the other people playing this game are as ambitious as I am. I hope so. It'd be fun to have some competition.
Athena stood up again, but as she stood up, she heard a large number of sirens. Hmm? What's going on? Are they making an anno- Before Athena could finish her own thought, she found herself in the middle of the town that she had spawned into. Wait a minute! Why'd I get forcibly teleported?! Athena looked around and saw that more and more people were being teleported into the middle of town, and she looked around at the number of people that were supposed to be her 'competition'. She sized up a lot of people and found that a good majority of people were just shut-ins that were weak as hell. If this is my competition... I sorely overestimated the number of truly competitive people here. Athena's gaze was suddenly drawn towards the sky. Blood was dripping through what seemed to be the 'ceiling', and it all gathered into the form of a ball. What is this? The ball suddenly became a large figure in a black cloak. Athena looked towards the figure with analytical eyes. What would give the figure away? What was its aim? Why did it gather everyone here?
As the announcement came from the cloaked figure, eventually, they gave away their identity. Kayaba Akihiko. Kayaba Akihiko? The creator of the game? He turned his game into a game of survival? Athena took a short pause as she realized the gravity of the situation. A game of survival? Athena started to laugh, while other people looked at her like she was insane. She was only thinking of all the forums and ads that were commenting on the game itself. "This game is to die for." "Don't miss it! You'll regret it for the rest of your life!" What a society we have. They play with words as if they have no meaning, but then something like this happens. I'm sure that the stores and forums are going to become silent. Or they won't. They'll explode about how the situation is. They'll continue talking about it. And now... This whole situation. The repercussions it has on people... Athena looked up at Kayaba Akihiko and she smirked. Kayaba Akihiko... What an interesting position you've put me in. Suddenly, she was hit was a rush of fear. Wait... But what if I die? What if I'm killed? How do I know who to tru- Athena suddenly stopped thinking when she was nearly run over by someone. She looked up and saw that Kayaba Akihiko was gone.
Athena moved with the flow of the crowd then. She didn't have to trust anyone. She just needed to survive. As soon as she defeated this game, no game would ever be able to top this one. I have to prove to myself that I'm good enough to survive this game. It's like I've been training my entire life. I've set myself up for a good chance at success. I've got the 'Mapping' skill, which will help me keep track of the weaknesses of enemies, as well as where I need to go in differing dungeons. Stealth is important for me because I don't have high strength or health. For a while, I'll have to hang back in my party until I can strike a good blow. Athena shook her head. She didn't need to think about this right now. She just needed to start getting things done, whether that be killing monsters or finding a party. She needed to do something. Otherwise, she'd be inefficient. She'd be wasting time. And time was not something she had on her side. It's not that she was on a time limit, but she needed to be fast. Parties would be made fast. People would start claiming hunting grounds.

Athena looked towards the sky that had gone back to its original color.
The sky I saw not very long ago is unchanged. Yet I'm now stuck in...
A GAME TO DIE FOR.
A GAME TO DIE FOR.
