Janeiro bowed slightly as she got her pajamas back. Crinkled, but still neatly folded by Rue. Back in the inventory they would become clean and smooth again anyway. The light was so dim that the two girls could barely see each other. Janeiro disagreed, without Rue she felt like she would have fallen. She did not say anything about that, knowing that Rue was not into discussing those matters either. Anyway, even with danger possibly being still present, Janeiro could not help but have her mouth form a soft smile. "I really feel like we should invest in a pair of sturdy gloves."
After storing away everything and recovering from the climb, the two went on towards the gateway. Unlike the maze the stone walls here were more like the rest of the dungeon, weathered dark stone bricks, here and there some moss grew through the cracks. Lit sconces placed in regular intervals illuminated the corridor, a welcome change to the darkness of the icy pit. Scared bugs scuttled away from their feet. In the distance the rumbling and grinding of the moving walls could still be heard.
Janeiro and Rue had walked for a few minutes, until after another turn to the right the path ended in a wall, with a large wooden trapdoor on the floor. There was no red glow that would be the indicator for a trap for players with the detection skill, so they opened it slowly. Below them was another typical dungeon hallway - but more remarkable was that their maps reconnected, showing that the corridor below was not far away from the dungeon entrance. Janeiro felt her exhaustion come back abruptly. She should have slept hours ago.
"Finally. I'll head to the Tolbana inn, probably." She resisted the urge to thank Rue again. "Farewell, for now."
(I know it was short but I'll close the thread after your response)
