Kaito's black eyes were focused on only one thing at the moment. Not the long plain grass that blew and swayed like green ocean waves. Not the giant plateaus with impossibly steep edges that would have fallen away if not seemingly held up by magic. Not even the lakes on said plateaus that seemed never endings, even as they created massive waterfalls to the plains below, seemingly refilled by giant glowing spheres that hovered above them, sometimes even looking more like crescent moons. Indeed, despite the beauty of these grasslands, with their multiple man-sized cairns that dotted the landscape and swaying pines, none of these were on the gray haired man's mind. Simply this red eyed boar that snuffed and squealed as he made a made charge at him, stepping away and slicing upward against its dark hide along the way. It whined out as not a drop of blood lept from the wound, only a streak of a red line as if hit by a laser and quickly dissipating, turning back around to face the man.
This wasn't the most graceful of battles as he held the curved sword in his right hand high, more swatting with the weapon without a clue on the proper stance for a saber or scimitar. However, the technique of drawing it into a charge and hopping to one side had so far worked and even clipped it in the head for a critical one time. "Sā, sā...! <Here piggy-piggy! H-Hurry up and take another swing, dang it!>" He growled as he stayed on the defensive, his stance wide as he prepared to leap out of the way once more. The boar snorted and scrapped the grass with its front hoof, squealing as it charged once more. But as Kaito attempted to jump to the side, the hog bounced on its legs back on course, startling the man as it seemed to have learned his strategy slammed his forehead into Kaito's gut, feeling an intense numbing sensation across his body momentarily before falling against one of those cairns. Picking himself up in time to see the boar tusks first his way, he yelled out as it headbutted into him hard, the stalagmite behind him cracking and smashing apart sending both of them sprawling on the other side. But the boar would never get up again as Kaito lifted his head to see him run through from neck to body, dissipating and vanishing as floating statistics of his victory appeared. It wasn't nearly as hard the last time he was out here but after knowing that one false move would be your last out here, all that time not wanting to get hurt was... getting him hurt.
"<Guh... Man, what I wouldn't give for a rifle and some hunting dogs right now...>" He said out loud to himself as he got up from the rubble and brushed himself off, keeping an eye on his HP bar, "<Hope I can make some Kalua Pork with some of these bad-boys soon.>" He glanced up now to take a look at the landscape, trying to see if anyone else was around, whether it be another mob of monsters or other players or if his "partner" was nearby. Actually, he kinda hoped that Rue wasn't close enough to see that terrible exchange as she seemed like the type to let him know his form was miserable. At least he hadn't seen that... thing from earlier that week that took TigerLily away from them. And he hoped not to see it for quite a while.
