(OOC: This is basically me RPing outside SAO for fun. A fantasy setting where magic is a normal occurrence, with swords and castles and stuff. Don't know where I should post this so might as well put it here.)
(P.S: It's a pretty generic story. Doing this because I'm bored XD Updating this story once per day.)
"1...2...3...4...4 copper?! All that hard work and you giving me 4 copper?! This is not what we agreed too!"
"I know, but prices for berries have dropped recently. Nowadays people eat vegetables and other fruits, also there has been a drop in demand for this good."
"But..."
"I'm sorry kid, there's nothing I can do. Maybe you should try planting some pumpkin. Heard that it' booming in the market. Not enough supply, the warehouse almost empty!"
"...."
The fat trader walks away with his goods and berries he 'stole' from me. I swear one of these days I'll kick his ugly butt just for the satisfaction. Not that he can catch me anyway, not with that body. I hold the coppers in my hand tightly, holding back myself from doing so.
"Sigh~"
A barrel of berries worth around 5 to 7 copper. Selling 2 barrels should net me at least 10 copper. Think he can trick me just because I look like a kid? If it were not for the fact that the villagers depend on him to bring the goods here, I would have kicked him out of this village a long time ago.
Putting the coin in my side pouch, I do a quick count of my current saving. If my memory serves me correctly, I should have around 3 gold by now.
"Sigh~~~"
2 gold away from my goal. Probably another 1 year before I save enough. I wipe the sweat off my forehead and look far to the hills. The Giant Hill said to be the place where Giant Tribes existed once. They reign terror upon the nearby villages and post a massive threat to the town. Due to that, King Veritia the Fourth send a massive army to wipe out the tribe.
Well, it's a story from a hundred years ago. No one knows whether it's the truth or not. Seeing is believing people said. I for one would like to believe the story is real. But enough reminiscing, I'm not a scholastic person.
However I do know one thing, the hills separate this village and the town Aisengard, one of the major towns in Veritia. One day I will set my foot there and see for myself the rumored liveliness of the town! It's one of my many goals ever since I found that journal.
For that, I need to work my ass off...to fund my travels.
"Sigh....."
Back to work then.
