Personality
Gisella as a person isn't necessarily loud and boisterous, but she seems to have a knack for finding people she knows no matter where she is.
Online, Annalise is outspoken and strong willed, moving towards fairness in that which she champions, and moving to better herself over all else. She takes quickly to those who share her ideals and feels compassion for those who don't, seeking to understand before she judges.
Her foremost goal is to ensure that those around her strive to reach their full potential as she does, affording them what they need, as well as aiding them as she can. Earning Annalise's trust is hard, and her friend list is very small, but those who earn a spot on that list can expect a strong and reliable partner to back them up in a pinch.
Making Annalise mad is no easy feat, but the rarity with which her anger surfaces makes the calm, seething shift in her mood even more poignant.
Annalise prefers to hope for the best in both situations and in other people, but her time in games has taught her that not everything that glitters is gold. As such, Annalise tends to prepare for copious contingency plans, assuming at all times that the worst will occur, despite her hope for the best.

Biography
Gisella was born and raised in San Francisco to parents of German descent. Her accent is distinctly Californian, although she fluently speaks and understands German.
Because of the location of her upbringing Gisella was exposed to a myriad of cultures along the journey of her life, and while she was unaware of their effect at a young age, the synthesis of ideologies shaped her into who she is today.
In the summer between her sophomore and junior years of high school, Nexon released Maplestory to North America, and Gisella fell in love with the game. She poured her spare time into learning all she could about the game, even becoming the head of one of the leading guilds for the game's bossing scene.
Gisella entered an even more enthralling passion when she discover fencing, devoting herself to learning not only the sport, but delving into the history of the art.
When SAO was announced, Gisella applied without hesitation. Her school, work and play became an intricate dance. This balancing act served her better than most, and with her hard work and dedication she climbed to the 7th floor of Aincrad with several members of her old guild. While they never succeeded in toppling a boss, they participated in raids and dungeoneering at every available opportunity.
It was with this same mindset of hard work and dedication that she sat down on release day and declared "Link start!"
