Toketsu is a popular streamer, with a good sized audience in both Japan and the US. His online persona is well known to be upbeat, and ready to try anything. Toketsu is high energy when he streams. He cracks jokes, and interacts with fans watching both live and in the comments. Through all of this however, Toketsu, or rather Kyoma, only feels this way when he is in control. When he streams, he decides when he is done, who can watch, and what he does. He knows he cannot control other people, but that semblance of "i'm in charge" helps him interact with large groups of people. It's not a complex, it's a coping mechanism. Toketsu comes from the MOBA scene originally, so his demeanor in gameplay is cautious but proactive. He likes to "set the scene" before taking action, sizing up his opponents and comparing strengths and weaknesses, all while dishing out small "pokes" to give him the ever slight edge he might need. This also means he has zero trust for anyone who hasn't proven their worth to him on the battlefield, but he only shows it by relying on himself, rather than refusing to fight with someone.

Sword Art:
Effect: A powerful forward thrust to break a guard, followed by a strong sweeping horizontal slash from the side opposite the guard.
Trigger: Toketsu plants his forward foot, and pulls the blade in close to his side, hovering over the guard with his off hand, causing the blade to glow a sky blue.
Description: Facing an opponent with a shield, Toketsu dashes forward, before planting his forward foot, and lowering his blade in close to his side. The sword glows a bright, clear blue, before he takes another step forward and thrusts the sword with his entire weight behind it. It throws the enemy's shield arm to the side, and Toketsu follows the momentum by spinning full circle, and taking another half-step to deliver a powerful horizontal blow to his opponent's exposed side.
[Biography]
Growing up, Toketsu only had a few close friends. They collectively had the social skills of a single functioning child, so they spent most of their time indoors, playing strategy games. Go was a personal favorite of the group, as it had so many elements while remaining a mechanically simple game. It did however separate him from his older brother, Satoshi, who was an aspiring athlete. As a result, Toketsu was bullied by his older brother for most of his childhood, and it only subsided after his brother left for college. Their relationship is still tenuous, as Satoshi views Kyoma's streaming career as an embarrassment to their family. His parents never corrected Satoshi or criticized his bullying, and Kyoma was suspicious that they felt the same way. So it came about that Kyoma's, or rather Toketsu's, infatuation with VR was because it gave him an escape from his family's passive-aggressive disapproval.
Despite his career as a Streamer, Kyoma was disappointed to find out that he was not selected to be a Beta-tester for the critically acclaimed "Sword Art Online" MMO. He spent most of that summer waiting on updates from those inside, and posting reaction videos to news about the goings-on from those lucky few. As soon as the release date was scheduled, he began making plans, and started waiting in line a full two weeks beforehand to get his copy. Kyoma rushed back to his home in Tokyo to plug in and start getting ready for his first stream as a player. He knew there would be settings to configure before he could get a working stream up, so he entered the game as soon as the servers went online to get started. He made his character, and was plopped into the Town of Beginnings. He chose Toketsu for his name like always, and found the settings he'd need to alter quickly enough, but for some reason, he found that the Log Out button was not functioning. It wasn't until Kayaba made his grim announcement that he found out the truth. Thankfully his instincts propelled him through the first few hectic days, allowing things to settle down just enough to process what was happening. "This is going to be a long game."
