Player’s name: Roman Freihe
Player’s age: 31
Relationship status: Single
Nationality: U.S.
Ethnicity: German
Likes: Animals of all kinds; physical interaction; writing; being ‘the best’/superior (or at least being seen that way); waking up early and staying up late; protecting others.
Dislikes: Jackasses; injustice; selfishness; arrogance; going without food.
Character Name: TimorCanem
Appearance: Timor stands as a rather tall, broad-shouldered fellow; his full height, if measured, typically ranges from 6’2” to 6’3”. He possesses a farmer’s tan, while the rest of his skin is more or less the typical colouration of his European ancestors; that is, pale. His hair is a dirty blond, almost brown-looking, and is always cut short. His face is somewhat fair-featured; however, his nose is uneven, looking as if it has been broken several times. Several burn scars mark the left side of his face as well, going as far down as his neck before seeming to stop. His eyes are nearly the colour of seawater; that is, a mix between green and blue.
A dark fuzz has sprouted across his face, wherever there’s not a burn; obviously the beginnings of a beard. His square jaw sports it well; however, because of its splotchiness, it often feels incomplete to him. Other than that, he has a somewhat defined musculature, but it is otherwise easy to tell that he rather enjoys eating, to say the least of his appetite.
[Attributes]
Strength – 3
Endurance – 4
Agility – 1
Dexterity – 2
[Talents]
Axe Mastery
Shield Mastery
Perseverance Mastery
[Sword Skill]
Effect: Timor’s unique Sword Skill allows him to combo up to three attacks together at the cost of an amount of HP per attack. These attacks are particularly damaging—how, exactly, is a matter of debate. For instance, it could boost his strength by an amount for the duration of the skill, or simply be an effect of the skill itself.
Trigger: The skill itself is triggered by banging his axe and shield the number of times he means to attack.
Description: Erratic red lines trail behind his weapon. During the execution of this Sword Skill, Timor essentially goes berserk, relying entirely on instinct until its effect wears off. Its trigger makes a loud, nearly ringing sound as if a bell were chiming.
[Personality]
Timor, in-game, doesn’t necessarily require the company of other players—in fact, more often than not, he will frequently go off on his lonesome for periods of time that might extend to being days long. This doesn’t mean that he dislikes people; simply that he prefers his own company to those of others. While he is perhaps seen as asocial by some, he will, more often than not, express compassion towards others. Even in spite of this perceived asociality, he has and can prove himself to possess the traits of a leader.
Despite being usually object to others accompanying him, he will make exceptions, particularly if someone seems rather vulnerable, unskilled, or otherwise not competent enough to protect themselves.
That sort of mentality, however, is sort of a double bladed knife—due to his background, he has experienced death first hand, and knows the sort of apathy and numbness that seeing the people around him fade into death evokes. Suffice it to say, he doesn’t particularly desire to seek out people knowing what might await them.
[Background]
Roman served in the United States’ military in a branch he’s never exactly specified to anyone up until about a year prior to the current events. During his three enlistment periods, he went on at least seven separate deployments, and saw more than his fair share of death on the battlefield.
Recent external pressures suddenly shoveled onto him as a result of being discharged from active duty have sought him to seek out things to do during his free time—and, having been almost an avid video game enthusiast before, during, and after his enlistment, he once more sought the comfort provided by its sense of escapism, especially provided by the recent rise of virtual reality gaming.
However, he certainly didn’t expect to be trapped in Sword Art Online until someone cleared all hundred labyrinthine floors. Having underestimated the capabilities of most others playing the game, he once more felt a sense of duty placed upon his shoulders: to free everyone from this living nightmare, and release them once more into the real world.
In-game, he sets out from the Town of Beginnings, ready and prepared to do what he must to ensure the survival of himself, and those around him.
