If only the Black Forest was a jungle, and there was an actual lion inside this place..

Angelo was in the Great Plains bordering the Black Forest in front of him. A few kilometers away was the town of Tolbana. Spread out in front of the black-clothed boy was a dense forest to tall to see above and too deep to see into. This would be his second attempt into heading into the Black Forest, the first being rather awkward with the numerous amount of people in it. If only people knew that the more people were in a thread, the longer it would take for it to finish. Small numbers equals faster speed, which equates to faster training times. Obviously.

Angelo sat down on the grass and opened up his menu, equipping his armor and new ring. It appeared in the palm of his hand. This 'Development Ring' or whatever was crafted by Kitferge, and it was said to grant him more experience in both leveling and talents. He put it onto his left middle finger and felt it snug against his skin.  Angelo retracted his fingers, feeling the new sensation upon his skin.

He moved his hands towards his head, adjusting the leather headgear he had. It was customized to his liking after he received it, so that even though it still held the same stats, its appearance was more aesthetic. Compared to the typical leather hood that covers your entire head, Angelo's covered his forehead, like a ninja headband.

The boy stood up and determining that everything was all set, headed into the Black Forest by himself.

Scheherazade narrowed her eyes, swinging her axe almost languidly by her side as she narrowly flipped over a vine that the rogue Little Nepenthe shot at her, her braid flying out behind her as she sliced the four vines before her in half, but the plant-like monster merely continued on in its frenzied pursuit of the blonde, making her eyes narrow. She had to admire the single-minded determination that it held, but by no fault of its own; it had been controlled, was controlled, was possessed by a force much greater than its own will, and for that, she pitied it, for weakness was a thing chosen but given. Her ax flashed in the light as she charged, her legs quickly guiding her up the monster, her foe, and she brought it up before letting it slice the monster's main body section in a powerful arc. The monster was undeterred, and she got hit by a wildly lashing vine with tendrils of sticky sap flying crazily around, making her stumble back, and then fall into a position on her side, and she sat up, woozy and slightly dizzy. Pulling herself to her feet and using her axe as a support with one hand, she wiped off the sticky goo with her other hand, eyes flashing with newfound determination before she lifted her axe and ran back up the monster's body as it tried to contort wildly to force her off the Little Nepenthe's body, but to no avail. She raised her axe, murmured a quiet prayer, and then sliced the entire flower off the monster's body, watching as it convulsed, shuddered, and disappeared in a shower of pixels, leaving her to fall through the empty air. She rolled once she landed and unequipped her armor only to equip it again, flicking her HUD open with a smooth, fluid motion, and then blinked slowly as her armor appeared again, now without the grime and goo she had accumulated in such a tedious battle with that menace of a monster. Hesitating for a split second, she headed towards her Quest menu, and checked on her Quest Menu. She had taken on a job to put down a rogue Little Nepenthe that had been wrecking the paths gatherers took to harvest berries and the such, and now it was complete. She only needed to head towards the town to tell the villagers of her triumph. The blonde hummed in quiet satisfaction before setting off deeper in the forest. She wanted to at least kill a little more and test her ability before she left. Out of the corner of her eye, she noted a snarling sound. Her eyes sharpened. A wolf, then, one of the many Dire Wolves that populated this woodland? Scheherazade tilted her head and followed the sound, relying purely on what meager sense she had, seeing as how she didn't have Detection. A Dire Wolf. One, she thought, glimpsing a pelt in the low-hanging branches. Odd. Most of them were in groups, from what she heard. The blonde sucked in a breath and then let it out calmly. She could do this. She opened her HUD again, blinking a little from the sudden outpour of white and orange, and then clicked on the Inventory option, equipping her shield. She walked calmly towards the wolf, forcing herself to be steady with every step she took. "Surah 2. Alif, Lam, Meem." She lifted her axe as she walked closer and closer, the soft pressure of the earth on her heels a comforting sensation, reminding her that she had power in this situation. That she could truly kill one of these creatures. She inhaled slowly. "This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah, who believe in the unseen, establish prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them, And who believe in what has been revealed to you, and what was revealed before you, and of the Hereafter they are certain." The English felt dry against her tongue, but it felt right, almost. She stepped closer, and the wolf whirled around, snarling. Scheherazade lifted her axe, and made a heavy blow on its jaw, in which she was rewarded by a harsh swipe to her thigh that she barely managed to fend off with her shield. She pulled up her axe, briefly noting that it really was quite heavy, and then sliced its side, making the monster react in a wave of grievous fury, maddened and insane, as she watched it coolly, taking refuge behind her shield as it pushed her back more and more. She murmured the next line, her words quiet and unassuming, so silent that she could have been just mouthing them. "Those are upon guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful. Indeed, those who disbelieve - it is all the same for them whether you warn them or do not warn them - they will not believe." The blonde closed her eyes briefly, throwing one leg back to have better balance, and then, using her shield, she made it horizontal, parallel to the ground, then swung it smartly in a half-circle, a ring of golden fire-like light surrounding her. The wolf lunged, since her defenses were down. She flinched as its claws struck her closed eye, and felt a numbing sensation take over where she had been hit. Her eyes opened once she had pushed it back, or rather, it had left back, the monster hit by the same attack it had created. "Allah has set a seal upon their hearts and upon their hearing, and over their vision is a veil. And for them is a great punishment. And of the people are some who say, "We believe in Allah and the Last Day," but they are not believers. They think to deceive Allah and those who believe, but they deceive not except themselves and perceive not." Her voice dropped a note, still hushed, as she drove her axe through the monster and braved its teeth and claws in order to slice it open, a red gash appearing as her axe entered through the wolf's stomach and exited out its back, an awful ripping sound echoing throughout the forest as well as the quiet ring of a bell. She drew her axe out of empty air, blinking unflinchingly at the two halves of the wolf that lay there before it disappeared into a mess of blue and white. "In their hearts is disease, so Allah has increased their disease; and for them is a painful punishment because they used to lie. And when it is said to them, "Do not cause corruption on the earth," they say, "We are but reformers." " She paused, unsure of what to say next. "Aameen." Scheherazade picked her axe up and glanced idly at the place where the wolf had laid, and then, she blinked in quiet, resigned respect. The blonde walked through the paths of the Black Forest, and then bumped into a white-haired boy, younger than herself, it seemed. The blonde inclined her head respectfully. "My apologies. Are you alright?"

Stella log on to the game just on hour ago, and already taken back by how realistic everything look, why! would you look at that grass!! That totally look like a really grass, I bet animals would eat it! And on my god! did you feel that?! That felt like a real wind. Unable to contain her excitement any longer she wanted to go exploring this game right away, but being an EXPERIENCED GAMER that she is (truly, not lying), she did the mature thing and check on her equipment.  She was the wearing the standard issued beginners outfit and have a standard long sword, she have 0 money (aw) and 2 potions.

......

Hmn....and oh here's where the choice begin, I could go visit the beginning's town, and gather some info about the game, perhaps some tips and tricks, and maybe getting a few teammate at the same time, before venturing out....
and that would be the right thing to do to, given that I know just about nothing about this game and having no idea on how strong the monsters are, although, the first few monsters I encounter could not possibly be that strong anyway right? This place is still kind of close to Town....but I could just stick with fighting bunnies and rats in the beginning to test out the combat system....

OR, I can screw the rules and just jump in to wherever place that looks interesting and and just have fun, you know? I will just deal with whatever trouble when I encounter them, and if I die I will just restart at the beginning's town no problem, I'm only level 1 so how much experience can I even loss? (she slept though the announcement)

The sane decision or the insane one? That is a difficult question...

In the end Stella visited the Town first, and then making her way to the Black Forest, just as Stella was making her way over to the forest, her glace was caught by a beautiful blonde lady in the distant, it looked like she was fighting something in a non traditional RPG style.

........ hmn, well, I would definitely want to watch that and see what that is all about.

Having made her decision, Stella adjusted her gear a little bit and started a quick sprint towards the plains, when reached the place where the fight was, the battle was already won and blonde was just beginning to talk to someone with short white hair. 

oh, there is another person, I didn't see him before when he was sitting on the ground. But now there are three people in this area, and there is safety in number. Perhaps we can team up and level up a bit here, or maybe we could even explore a little bit, this is still an ok zone, not that dangerous to beginners. 

"Excuse me? I'm Starlight, would you mind letting me join your party?" Stella asked politely with a small smile.

The forest was the same as ever: tall trees, barely any sunlight from above, the vines interconnected with the trees, the darkness beyond.. The atmosphere in the Black Forest remained mysterious and uninviting as usual, probably more due to the fact that the Great Plains just outside of the forest is nice, green, and cheery compared to the outskirts of the first floor.

Angelo was cautious of his surroundings, trying to keep an open eye to any movements that happened in his immediate vicinity as well as any sounds he could hear. The boy's curved sword hung low by his hip, still sheathed in the leather guard he was provided with at the beginning of the game. His hand was on the pommel of his sword, anxiously waiting to be drawn out.

He heard the sound of pixels to his right. A monster or a player was no longer in this world. Angelo changed his direction and headed towards the source of the initial sound, hoping not to encounter a player killer in the woods like last time. It didn't take long. They both saw each other at the same time, and no sudden movements were made. He gave a small nod of the head after she did, speaking to the female as he examined her.

"Perfectly fine. Yourself?" One of the first things that popped into his mind when he saw her was her leg's length compared to her torso. It was slightly longer than most people's, something Angelo always had a thing for. However, hers looked taut and strong. She's been training in real life or perhaps here in Aincrad. He quietly looked back up to her hair and then down to her equipment. She held in her hands an ax and shield, an unusual combination, but probably effective nonetheless. The younger boy looked past Scheherazade and looked to see if there were any others hiding from view.

He bit the left side of his lip, revealing only a tiny bit of teeth. It wouldn't hurt to ask, as well as reveal what he was going to do here.

"Angelo. Pleased to meet you," he gave another small bow before continuing, "I'm here to work on my swordsmanship and hopefully get better equipment in time." A small pause. "You here alone?"

Movement and sound to his right made Angelo turn his head to the newcomer. Black hair, slender, and a mole beneath her lips. He turned his body completely to face her and gave 'Starlight' a bow as well. A fellow mole-face, beautiful. "We're actually not in a party together-" glancing back at the blond with the legs. "-but.. we could probably group up together, that is if you are fine with it." He directed the last part of his sentence towards Scheherazade, giving her a small shrug and a smile.

Scheherazade smiled gently, her soft self-assurance returning to herself, though with a touch on unease. Another? There was enough lore about the power of three, and such power could only end in mutual destruction or divine-bound association. But she was being too superstitious, perhaps. A touch of good will would do her well, after all. There was no deliberately cruel code that she would abide in herself nor in others. "I would be honored. My name is Scheherazade, and it is a pleasure to meet you both, Starlight, Angelo." She returned the smile to both of then, inclining her head in a graceful motion. She brushed her hair back, the braid landing softly behind her back, and then tugged on the ribbon with a fluid motion of her wrist, letting the scrap of silk slip into her pale fingers before she delicately tied it around her wrist. Scheherazade listened to the others as she tugged on her hair, letting her blonde locks fall gently in waves to her ankles. The lilac-haired young woman then pulled all her hair into one ponytail, bringing up her hair up to a high position, and then swiftly wrapped it up, the ribbon moving slightly before she tied it off easily. It was easier, for her, to make movements with her hair tied up, by ponytails felt more light to her, while braids were heavier on her back. It was most likely just a nervous habit, but she brushed the long ponytail over her left shoulder, and then coolly ran her eyes over her companions, assessing them. A brunette, most likely eighteen to sixteen. Brunette, Japanese, perhaps, a sword by her side. And this one...a tattoo? Her eyes lighted up and she looked it over in avid interest, murmuring a small compliment to Angelo on the dark ink. Then her eyes moved on to watch the two, and she let out a light suggestion to switch information so that they knew how to fight and how the others fought. "I myself wield an ax and a shield to my name," She motioned lightly to the two in her grip, her eyes light but serious. Scheherazade watched them lightly, surveying their opinions. "My sword art is based upon the redirection of damage dealt-if I am hurt or injured in any way by a foe; there is no mistaking that the same cut shall be mirrored upon my opponent, though at lower value. Yourselves, if I may ask?" Her lilac eyes rested briefly upon them, wondering what damage they could be hiding behind their polite demeanors, but it was a brief thought, only touching the edge of her conscious. Scheherazade blinked slowly at them, her gaze warm and welcoming. Her eyes were open and gentle, even as she subtly analyzed the newcomer in a way that the brunette would find it near-impossible for the girl to notice. She looked lithe and deadly, in a way that Scheherazade could respect. She was far more different from Scheherazade, who was fair-haired and light-eyed, her grace muscled and prominent, eyes shielded and clear, though she was sure she still radiated a gentle, thoughtful mystique in the words she did not utter, the silences left between her and others. But she could respect this girl. "Perhaps we should head deeper into the forest, for if we linger here, there is bound to be less prey than there will be in there for a trio like us." The green player glanced at the words displayed in her vision, stating the other's names and levels, and then smoothed down her ponytail in a habitual gesture, something that she used to do in the real world as she thought. "But not too far, for I fear our levels would just hinder you in battle, then. My apologies for that, Angelo, and the same goes for you, Starlight, if I have offended you in any way." She merely ran a careful eye over the others before walking in the direction of the darker, deeper part of the woods, letting them go first while she watched their back, her eyes gentle and yet wary, on edge. The woods could not be discounted in terms of strength; if boars alone could kill level one players, then what could wolves do, one level above her and Starlight, how weak they seemed? She sent another wary glance as she hefted her shield up, the young woman tossing back a serious look, before following her companions. It would do them good to stay on their guard.

"ei?" Stella was startled a bit upon receiving a courtesy bow from the white hair guy who goes by Angelo, her face flush up slightly, first day in the game and from a stranger, what kind of game is this? Suddenly aware of how she is dressed (still in that starter leather outfit) and not really sure about what to do with the her hands and legs, she briefly consider courtesy bow right back but decided to stretch that idea, it would be too embarrassing for her, she give him a polite nod instead, as an acknowledgement. 

But still, she blink once as she slowly turning her gaze towards the lady with blonde hair in a subtle way that she hopes is not outward staring, just as the latter begin to introduce herself as Scheherazade, Schehe....Schehera...Schela....ok, I am definitely not pronouncing that right, I'm just going to call her Sche and hopes that she is fine with the short form. Sche seems to be fine with the idea of forming a party and that's great, between the three, I feel more confident already....

Not gonna lie though, Stella thought absentmindedly as she continues to hear what the others have to say, what caught her eyes initially was all that thick blonde hair that looks shiny in the light in thee beginning. But this one, what am I looking at even, she looks like a white knight in shiny armor straight out of some fantasy story, I bet if she was wearing an actual armor she could and go around telling people that she was a princess knight on a quest to slay the evil dragon and free the people from the eternal darkness that oppress us all, and people might actually believe her.   Oh dear. Seriously what is up with all those gentlemanly and lady act, I felt like an audience accidentally step onto a medieval stage play, and they look completely natural while doing so too.

Stella's eyes widen slightly upon hearing that, her pupil sharped suddenly in the one instant only before they dilated back to their normal shape and color, her eyelash turn downward slowly, relax a bit.

....An sword art that could deflect damage and maybe inflict damage right back...? That's nice touch, why did I think of that? Still... 

"Perhaps we should head deeper into the forest, for if we linger here, there is bound to be less prey than there will be in there for a trio like us. But not too far, for I fear our levels would just hinder you in battle, then. My apologies for that, Angelo, and the same goes for you, Starlight, if I have offended you in any way."

Stella blinks at the politeness, "not at all, it is my pleasure to meet the two of you" she tilt head a bit, even though she apparently having just met people from the medieval fantasy era, Stella is all but too happy to having teammates, still high in sprite, she stood balanced on the front of her feet, balance up and down a little bit " and you can call me Stella~ My sword art is not nearly as cool as yours, air strike allows me to strike twice in one moment and that's all there is to it." She could no longer stand the anticipation and excitement of the adventure that awaits ahead, she turned and walked ahead towards the deeper part of the black forest, her hair swing along with her moment. True to its name, the surrounding suddenly gets quieter, the light seems to fade away just as well. Large trees grow and stretching upward from either side, almost covering the sky, even the wind felt a bit different then before. "Still, it is my pleasure to meet the two of you, let's have a good time together!" Says Stella as she half turn her head to look back to the others.


But before she could turn to face the other, she frown suddenly and with a snap she sidestep towards her left in an instant reaction, blade out of its sheath just as a wild boar charged out from one of the bushes in a frenzy like state, if Stella had not step out when she did she would have been run over. The boar did not seem to be interested in her however, as it charged right pass her and heading towards the others in the back. What was that?!

Before Stella could turn around and help out the others, she felt cold suddenly and like a snap she turned around facing where the boar was coming from, but it was completely quiet, there was absolutely nothing out of place. The feeling of coldness lasted for less than a second and it went away just as fast, like in mirage of her own imagination. But the feeling of something she could not explain is still there, she can't help but think back in the brief instant when the boar charged past her, it had looked almost in fright and having no interest in a fight. 

"Guys! On guard!" Stella yelled as she is turning back to see how the others are doing with the boar. 

PS: OOC sorry angelo, true to my words, on my next turn something is going to happen ;3 but the highest level monster from my post is still going to be level 2, level 3, is just tension no actual danger~

Scheherazade was extremely polite, something very rarely seen in games like this. Angelo stared absent-mindedly at Sherry while she let her hair loose and readjusted it into a smoother ponytail compared to the braid. He rubbed the back of his head with his left hand, his mouth slightly agape. He was brought back to reality when Scheherazade asked if they could exchange information for fighting purposes.

"Right. Thanks. Mm.. A single curved sword-" he gripped the handle with his hand and raised it a couple of feet, showing the curvy edge of his blade. He resheathed it quietly as he continued speaking. "-and my art is three strikes in the shape of a cross. It gives a chance to cause a bleeding effect on the target."

Starlight, or Stella, as she prefers to be called, had a similar sword art to his, damage without the additional effects however. The black haired girl of eighteen had a Japanese-like face, but seemed to be mixed with something else as well. Angelo couldn't really tell what the other type was, or it there were multiple, but she did not look completely Japanese. She was pretty. The boy could vouch for that. It was interesting how the NerveGear was able to read what your face looked like and transplant that into Aincrad. Technology has grown and advanced farther than he imagined.

Sherry's sword art was more along the lines of.. revenge? That seemed to be the correct word. Whenever she was attacked, her opponent would suffer the same strike. Angelo had no idea where Scheherazade was from; foreigners were rare where he lived, and they were treated differently. Luckily, Kou was an open-hearted individual that still carried it over to this world.

The blond offered to go deeper into the forest, then apologized to him for the lack of level experience that  he had. He shook his head and hand, saying that it was alright with him. Angelo lightly scratched his tattoo on the left side of his neck with his right hand, trying to figure out how to make her stop apologizing over nothing. Not figuring out anything at all, he ruffled his own hair with his hand and began following after Stella, Sherry by his side. Angelo palmed the pommel of his sword, ready to be taken out into battle in an instant if needed.

It looked like his instinct was correct when rustling could be heard farther ahead. Emerald eyes locked onto the spot where the monster was going to pop out from and saw the boar wildly running towards them. Or was it running away from something? It completely missed Starlight and headed between Angelo and Scheherazade. The young boy brandished his blade almost immediately, quickly followed by a deep gash on the boar's left side as Angelo dashed forward. It's health was already in the red zone after his first attack, and it needed one more for it to be completely gone.

Scheherazade reacted instantly to Starlight's warning, her instincts flaring as she whipped around, her ponytail flying out behind her. The blonde's ax automatically locked into place, the sudden shift of weight making her eyes narrow a little and grip loosen slightly, but the blonde persevered, shifting into an offensive position. Her eyes sharpened at the edges as she narrowed them, and the knight-like young woman saw Angelo dash forward and attack it. As soon as she was positive that he would not get hit, she lunged forward and sliced it open with her ax, the metal gleaming in the sunlight. There was a sickening cleaving sound of metal between meat, and then, eyes unreadable, she drew her axe away, noticing absently that there was blood on her blame, just a little bit by the edge. She wiped it off on the grass, and then watched the boar dissipate into a shower of pixels, her brows furrowed in confusion. Why would a boar be here, of all places? Boars were renowned for being in the plains, and she had never, ever, ever heard of a boar in the forest-and such was their problem. What one earth was a boar doing here? Her eyes scanned the horizon. It was highly unlikely, if likely at all that a boar had just wandered over here. Scheherazade bit her lip and swore internally in harsh Arabic, but externally, the blonde just smoothed her ponytail and kept a steadying hand on the axe by her side. Her lilac eyes rested upon Starlight, and gently, she asked if the girl was okay. Her safety should take first priority, after all. Her eyes rested on the others, and she asked whether they sensed anything. There was a brief lull. What else could they do except stay on their guard? Scheherazade kept a hand on her shield and ax, and then, seeing the others, they continued on their path going deeper into the forest.  There was no need to linger, anyways, and if something bad was there...well, the blonde did not see any need to linger there. Her lilac eyes scanned the forest around them, assessing and analyzing, and then she turned quietly on her heel. They went deeper into the forest. Trees became more common, branches more thick, the canopy blocking out a ton of light. Scheherazade cut down branches and other natural obstacles in their path as to allow them a path, and they made their way there, Scheherazade hefting her shield up as to be cautious. There could be monsters more dangerous than she thought existed in the forest...

Ahhhh....first day of the game, but well, it was ok, no one got injured yet I think. She look back at her teammates, checking them visually. As far as she could tell, no one got hit by the boar so everyone should be still in full health right? I think??? Still, that boar sure was scary, charging out from out of nowhere like that, almost gives me a jump scared. Come to think of it, I used to see boars a lot in the great plains but not so much near the black forest, I wonder what it was doing here, and what was its big rush, it didn't even seem to want to fight me...maybe it got lost and is now trying to go home? But Sche cut it down... Oh well.

Rubbing her neck as the group made their way deeper into the forest, she was chatting with the team (one side telling them) about this great big black castle thingy (something something palace was the name, but at the moment she can't seem to recall, but the team didn't seem to mind the fact that a critical information, namely, what was the name of the place, was missing from the description) " it was situated right in the center towards the back of the Beginning's Town." She added.

"It was totally amazing too, it was huge and magnificent, with big giant gates, and fences, and they even have guards, you guys should totally check it out sometimes! and and! let me tell you! There was this giant statue that..." She stopped right in the middle of her own sentence, she almost turned back as she was hit by the sudden rush of stink in the air. Cringing and whimpering a bit as she pulls her scarf upward, (a nice little gift from a friendly NPC in town, together with a uselessly outdated map of the town) she forced her teary eyes to open a little and search around for the source of the smell. 

Completely confused she looked at her teammate and asked them if they smelled it too, but it was sooo strong, and it stinks! It's got to be near impossible to not smell it, and it was nearby, she was surprised that she only just smell it then, what? The smell of the tree hidden it or what? what is it?! It was like...it was like... I feel like I smell something similar before, but that couldn't be, I only logged on the game just today, I haven't been in combat. Was it from a previous action combat game? But no other game was this realistic, that she would be able to smell this kind of stink. 

That was when it hit her, yes, it was in real life, not in a game, it had smiled like....rotten fish in the fridge that she forgot to take out??? Or rotten meat??? She told her teammate as so, and started to look around for the smell. On one of the steps, without being careful, she accidentally stepped on something soft...almost too soft, she closed her eyes instinctivelybut forced them to open slowly and to look down at what exactly had she just stepped on...!

Ok...ok...it was an apple.

Just an apple, that scared me a bit. Left hand on her chest as she let out a sigh of relief, she raise her hand and using her left hand to brush away the low branches just in front of her, there was a corpse lying on the ground right in front of her.

......"Yahhhhhh!!!!!" She jumped up a little and let out a little scream, but quickly covered her mouth with her hands, "is it dead?! Is it actually dead?!! Do we have a healer?!" she panicked a little when she noticed what was up front.

There were more corpses...human corpses, the Town's NPC from the look of the clothing, the corpses, the whole bunch of them, lying in almost a line as if something was dragging them forward but clumsily dropping them as it went up ahead, leaving behind a bloody trail. They must have been here for a while now, since the blood have dried off, but they have all looked like civilians in normal civilian's clothing, why is the town's NPCs here this deep in the forest?! She yelled to herself silently. "Don't worry guys" she tries to tell her teammate, "whatever it was, it's probably long gone by now, besides, it's all fun and game, what is life without excitement anyway right? If we died here we will just restart from the beginning's town and probably lost some exp, but no problem, you win some you lose some right? don't be scared."

Game, Set, and Match. The fight was over in a matter of seconds. Two strikes from their weapons was all it took for the sad, out of place boar to shatter into tiny pieces. He smiled at the two females with vastly different hair colors, offering a few words of encouragement.

They proceeded on into the forest with Scheherazade in the lead cutting a path, occasionally saying places like 黒鉄宮, aka the 'Black Iron Palace', or 生命の碑, also known as the 'Monument of Life' when Stella was telling her story. The newest member of the forum in their group stopped mid-sentence. And then it hit him too. Whatever it was he did not like the smell and promptly covered his nose and mouth with his undershirt.

Angelo instinctively reached for his weapon as soon as Starlight screamed. She sees dead people.... and so can we. Goosebumps fluttered up his back and throughout his entire body as he felt a sudden wave of nausea hit him. As far as he knew, when someone dies, whether it be an NPC or an actual player, they would shatter into pixelated pieces. The fact that these ones were not would mean that this was some kind of event? Either way, he didn't like the look of it one bit.

"When we die.. we die Stella. This is a death game now." He corrected her while staring at the bodies on the forest floor.

Scheherazade’s eyes widened in horror before she knelt down by the heap of corpses’ sides, her blonde hair let out of the ponytail it was kept in to show respect while she put her hands together and murmured a prayer again and again as they would do in her family as a gesture of kindness, respect, and honor when a person was killed. Her blonde hair flowed down her shoulders, catching the midday light, and her fingers pressed against each other, her eyes closed while glittering tears caught into her long eyelashes, but she wasn’t crying. Tears merely tangled into her eyelashes, one by one, but her voice was level, and she withstood the stench without trying, her murmurs taking on a little murmur, the words impossible for the others to make out. “Alhamdulillah, La illaha ill-Lallah, Muhammad-ur-Rassul Allah. All honour and glory and thanks are his, and praise and worship belong to him. To God be glory in his Church, for ever and ever, amen. Subhan Allah. Glory be to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit…” And then Stella broke in. Scheherazade’s heart shattered into pieces. The young woman let one of her tears fall from her eyes onto the corpse, her curtain of hair covering her face as she did so. She slowly blinked, absently hearing Angelo’s reply. When she stood again, there was no trace of her tears, something she had learned to conceal when she was young. The blonde brought herself to Starlight’s eye level, her eyes wide and sad and full of compassion that was tinted with sorrow, and if she saw herself, Scheherazade’s mother would have remarked she looked like a falling angel, like the stories in the Bible. She closed her eyes briefly and then opened them to reveal liquid amethyst. “Starlight, were you out today? Sleeping, maybe, or unconscious? Did you ever wonder why your avatar changed to fit your real-life appearance?” She waved her hand and her HUD appeared, the knight-like woman selecting the mirror she had received on the first day and gently pressing it into Starlight’s hands. “The truth is, Kayaba broke in that day. We’re stuck in the game. There is no way to get out, and if you-if you die in the game, you die in reality.” “I’m sorry for being the one to tell you this.” Scheherazade looked honestly at Starlight, her own sorrow bared for the world to see. “I’m so sorry.” Her grip on her ax tightened, and anyone could have seen her real anguish, no matter how stately she seemed nor how composed. Her lilac eyes glistened as she turned away, and then she took a silent, shuddering breath as she kneeled once more by a corpse’s side. She gently carded away it-no, the girl’s-dark hair, which was still lush and wavy. How old could she have been? Sixteen, maybe? Around Stella’s age. She was beautiful, even in her death-she had a full, lush mouth and sharp cheekbones, all angles and smoke, and hair in thick waves to her elbows. Yes, she would have been very pretty. Scheherazade closed her eyes. If you were still alive, would someone have loved you? Did someone already? With almost-shaking, slow gestures, she cleaned up each corpse to the best of her ability, the fiery look in her eyes daring the others to argue. This was a massacre. Her eyes closed as she stood, gripping her axe, a spark of sorrow in her eyes. Scheherazade, who had felt so grounded earlier, so positive in her survival, felt bile rising in her throat. The air was dry and hot and humid and she just-she just wanted it to stop. The blonde closed her eyes. Please. When afraid, she turned to her faith. Scheherazade plead and begged and swore in her head, promises and prayers to her god. Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi. Alhamdu lillahi rabbi alAAalameena. Alrrahmani alrraheemi. She gently rested her fingers on the girl's side, and then, with horror, discovered that the flesh had softened and already begun to rot, and her almost nonexistent touch left imprints in the girl's skin, and the delicate swirls of her skin were damp with...pus? Blood? She relayed that information with an almost fascinated horror, and then gently inspected the girl, brushing her dark hair aside. There was a gash, perhaps the cause of her death? Why...why were these bodies tangible? Was it an event? Some sick way that Kayaba decided to screw with their heads? Her figure shook inwardly with anger, and sorrow, and pure horror and fear. Fear makes people desperate, her father had warned her. Well, she was sick with fear now. Her eyes flashed with pure steel and her will, and she let her fingers retract from the corpse. Lilac orbs stared down her own hands, and then she stood again, realizing she was a little ways off from the others. She lifted her axe, swinging it up, and then froze when she hit something. Scheherazade lifted her shield instinctively, and then saw a flash of fur head towards Starlight's back, which was turned away from the monster. A wolf-no, two-and one was after Angelo, who she cried out a warning to. The blonde threw herself between Stella and the wolf, the monster's jaws meeting her shield. She was forced back a little, almost falling over from the sheer force of the monster's blow, but managed to keep her face passive and eyes steely, pushing the monster back and wondering in passive-aggression whether Stella was going to attack the godamned thing.

Hah...?? What...What are they talking about? What do you mean...? If I die in the game, I die in the real life too?....That's...that's ridiculous! And also, not even possible!!! Who would want to play a game like that! How will the developer get any player with a set up like that! I was just here to play an online game and I could die? Killing people is illegal isn't it! There's no way the government will allow the game developer to do that, that is stupid and ridiculous! Who does that! Why would anyone wants to do that?!

No...no...the guys, they have to be lying...yeah, is one of those practical jokes, ah haha, oh very funny guys, with those serious expression I might have actually take you guys seriously. Of course it was a joke, yeah, I mean, we are in a black forest and all, so let's just say something randomly to lighten up the mood, it's like in one of those sit-com. Yeah, that must be it.

Thinking to herself, Starlight pull up her game manual and was about to select logged off, when she noticed the option to log off was grey, indicating that it cannot be selected. Starlight frown at what was showing in front of her, she selected the log off option, and nothing happened. She was still in the game, surrounded by large trees in this empty forest, with corpses around her. Starlight's frowning deepened a little, as she selected the option once again. This time, it came back with an empty beep sound, indicating that option is not available.  



Starlight's eyes widen slowly with disbelief, she briefly entertains with the idea that what her team was telling her was actually...the truth.


If I die here, I die here, and that is the end of the story. 



Shocked, she back off of the manual as if strike by lighting, how is that even possible?! How can the developer do something like this? How can the police allow this kind of things to happen?! WHY WASN'T I TOLD THIS BEFORE..!

Then she remembered something, earlier today, when she first logged on to the game, she went to the Beginning's Town. She visited the Palace but because something that happened along the way, she had felt incredibly guilty and she went to hide in one of the basement underneath the vegetable shop. It was the first thing she did after she get into the game, was getting a part time job helping with the NPC shop, for a place to stay in the night. When she was in the basement, lying on the blanket on the ground, she was feeling kind of bad and eventually fall asleep. Then in her dream, something alert her awake and she heard someone announcing that it was now a death game, but the whole notion was so off fetched that she thought that she must have been still sleeping and dream the whole thing up. But right now, she wonders if she was truly awoke by the announcement but in her cloudy mind, clumsily pushed aside all of the danger warning and fall right back to sleep. 



Still deep in thought she did not even noticed the wolf approaches her from behind, not until Sche shouted loudly in warning to the rest of the team, did she noticed that something was off.

She tries to turn around to look at where the sound was coming from, but before she could register what was in front of her, a shadow appeared before her eyes right in front of her face, blocking whatever view that was immediately in front of her. That was followed shortly with a loud crashing sound, it sounded like something heavy hitting hard against a metal surface.

Starlight rear back in shock just as Sche curses silently in front of her, getting pushed back a little from the force of the impact.

Only until then did Starlight finally getting a good look at what was really happening. And truly realized the situation that was happening around her. When she was staring off into space, this wolf must have sneak up on her, but Sche blocked that attack with her shield, standing in front of her un-moving like a wall, even as she was almost push off of her feet, she did not give away even an inch.

"Sche...!!" Starlight shouted out in surprise and worry and panic. 

I have to...I have to do something...! I can't stay here, if I stay here right behind her, then she can't move from this spot! I basically blocked her and trapped her here in this tiny space with a wolf pushing down her shield!! 

I have to move...I have to move...!!

But she can't, not with such a real looking wolf this close snapping at the shield, with its eyes so full of hunger that she feel like she was being bite upon right now. It was pure fear. She had fight monsters much scarier than this with a confident and an easy smile countless time before, in other games, in fact, if it have only been a few moments before, she would have take this thing head on by now. But the situation had changed, upon realizing that the true danger of this game, it paralysis her, taking way her courage to fight, froze her in her place, too afraid to even move. 

Just then, the wolf pushed forward, knocking hard against Sche's shield creating a shrieking sound as it scratch against the metal, almost knocking Sche off of her feet, but the player shakes her head and stands her ground, foot heavy on the ground and golden hair casting a wave in the wind behind her as she adjusting her stands and re-center herself, she tries to push forward, and did not back down.

What...? What are you doing right now..?! Why are you still fighting? Run!!! Didn't you know that if you die here you die in the real life too!!! If you know this already, why did you come out from the walls in the first place? ....Why did you protect me?! How could you take the risk like that?!

Thoughts and curses running through her head like an unstoppable train, making her unable to think, but just know that in this instant, if she did nothing, she was hurting Sche, because she was keeping her here.

If I was not here, staying put like an idiot, she could have dodged now. And she still stands here now, trying to protect me, risking herself shielding me, but we have barely just met....and I still stands here like an idiot...!

.......But...

.....but...but I can't...I....I just...I.....

"Ah!! Screw this, die already!!" She curses and with the extra bit of length from her long sword, she stabbed the wolf at its ribs from behind the Sche's shield, from her angle she could not get to the neck, so she aimed at the next best thing. Best case scenario would be for Sche to actually knock this wolf off its balance with her shield, but with the things were, that is not happening anytime soon. Starlight checked the wolf's HP, it had 35 before, but it was now 30. So that one hit, only did 5 damage...? What?! How weak am I right now? Doesn't matter free hit is a free hit! Starlight stabbed the wolf again at the same place and was able to stab it the third time when the wolf decided that enough is enough, it can't break through Sche's shield so it will just have to circle around this hard metal meat and go around to get to that other meat.

The next moment turns almost comedic, as the wolf and Starlight uses Sche like an obstacle and basically did the Mary goes around with Sche in the center, turning in circle to always keep her shield up to block the wolf, and Starlight trying to stab the wolf from behind Sche's shield with every single opportunity that she has, chipping away its health. 

I got you now!!! "Sche, lift up now!!" Starlight yelled at her teammate as the wolf's health bar dropped dangerously red, with a single large step she finally gets out from behind the shield, the blade of her sword reflecting flashes of light as she bring up her sword forward, cuts through the wolf's head, head on, taking away the last bit of health bar that it had. 

YES!! Starlight yelled to herself secretly as the wolf goes up in colorful pixels.

But before she can relax, she has to look for her other teammate, in their cat and mouth chase with the wolf, all Starlight could think about was to off this thing as fast as she can without being harm to Sche or herself, she didn't actually know what happen to Angelo. But now that she has a moment of break, she looks around for him to check to see if he was alright, but before her eyes could even fight him, she finds something else.

...It was a shadowy humanoid looking figure, it was way too far away for Starlight to make up its facial features. It was standing on the other side of the hill, and it was looking at the their general direction...no...actually....I think it was staring right at us....!

Just then, before she could even go off in alarm, the figure seems to realize that it had been spotted and it reared back as if in shock, then it raised its right arm? Doing something, but it was too far away to for Starlight to tell what was going on, and just then, she heard howling sounds from the distances. 

"The wolves!!" Starlight shouted in warning loudly to her teammates. She still have not yet spotted Angelo, but when she turns back to look at the shadowy figure, where it once was, it was no longer there.

Curses her own luck, she goes to look at where the howling sound was coming from, off in the distance, she could see flashes of light reflecting off on grey furs as something from the other side of the trees closing in on them fast. "Sche! You got to switch to the axe and fight! Don't worry about me, I am good now!", she quickly reaches into her inventory and switched weapon herself, great sword did not have as long of a reach as the long sword, but it got more attack points, right now offense is probably my best defense, she thinks to herself. Sche protected me before, but now it is my turn, I have to cover her back too...!

Life was sacred. Angelo cupped his hands together and recited a silent prayer for the dead. He stood a few meters back from Starlight and Scheherazade, trying his best not to gag on the smell that permeated the air. He watched in silence as Stella finally realized what they said to her was actually true. It was strange and mysterious that Sherry was able to touch the rotting flesh of the corpse in front of her without feeling sick. He closed his eyes, wondering if she had experienced death in real life before she came here.

A call from the blonde made Angelo open his eyes and react a tad bit late to the oncoming assault. He took a glancing blow on his left arm as the wolf tried to chomp it off. Amidst the smell and the lack of vision, it was understandable that he couldn't spot the wolf with Detection. Perhaps his mind was still stuck on Scheherazade's former life. Nonetheless, the white haired boy unsheathed his sword just as the wolf made its second attack. It lunged straight to his neck, hoping to tear off a good chunk of his flesh to kill him. He met the gaping maw with the blade of his sword, shoving it into the mouth itself. He used the palm of his left hand and placed it on the back part of his blade to provide support.

A swift kick into the gut of the dire wolf temporarily stopped its aggressiveness. He quickly followed up and pulled his sword downwards, cutting off the lower jaw of the wolf. Its eyes glazed with fear at the sudden realization and tried to escape. Blood lined the edge of his blade while Angelo pinned the terrified animal in place, his leg firmly planted on the side of the wolf's neck. Without remorse, he decapitated the animal and watched its whole body twitch violently before turning still and shattering into hundreds of pixelated polygons.

The sound of wolves in the distance. Emerald eyes turned in the general direction as the boy stood up, his curved sword slick with crimson liquid. Bring it on.

Scheherazade almost fell over from the sheer brute force behind the wolf's attack,but then Starlight fought back, and when the brunet girl screamed herself hoarse, Scheherazade lifted up instinctively, watching the wolf dissipate into blue and white pixels. Her arms lost some of their tension and she sighed in relief, but then Starlight dashed back and told her to fight. The blonde nodded in response and materialized her axe, the weapon dropping straight into her hand from midair. How many wolves were there? Her eyes shuttered. A lot of enemies, it seemed. But that was alright. They were merely opponents. And opponents were made to be crushed. She could make sure of that. Angelo killed his own wolf off onto the side, and she nodded grimly to him, signaling her own counterattack. She lunged. There was no other word for it. Scheherazade watched a wolf jump over her and had to curl backwards, her head almost touching the ground as she flipped back. Her eyes narrowed. Along with ballet, she had taken gymnastics when she was young to make herself more flexible in order to dance harder, to take more, to learn more moves. It seemed that the decision to do so was a good investment, though she had never anticipated this. But there was no point in stopping. She ran forward, lifting her axe from the protection of her shield, eyes steely and detached as she made her first strike, a running cut that went from the opponent's shoulder blade to their leg. The wolf howled in anger, and snarled as a message to her to back away. Scheherazade kept her distance, pacing, assessing, analyzing. It wouldn't do to make a mistake at a time like this. Her health was already low, and there was no need to make it any lower. After all...her eyes glinted dangerously. There was no place for mistakes in here. It would hurt her more than she needed to be hurt. And she had no place for that at all. But risks were necessary. If she didn't take any risks, she would have never gotten out of the Town of Beginnings. And the thought of that was frightening. Why had she decided to step out, anyways? What made her believe that she could live through a death game? Was she that convinced of her own strength? No. That wasn't it. Scheherazade understood and realized she was weak, if anything. Strength was the one thing that she was sorely lacking in. That was why she had stuck with dealing with Little Nepenthes and Boars to start with, why she hadn't the belief that she could stand with the front-liners. Because, honestly? Strength...strength was rare. Few players had that strength, and she was definitely not one of them. So why had she left safety? Comfort? It was a mystery. Scheherazade let her eyes analyze the monster's lunge before narrowly evading it with a sweep of her shield-covered arm, the monster snarling before leaping back, assessing it as it assessed her. Monster against monster. Beast against beast. She was vaguely aware of blood dripping down her cheek from a fearful cut, skin peeling off her face in a golden strip that had already settled on the ground. Her eyelashes on her right eye were covered in blood. But she could still fight. She ignored the stinging sensation near the top of her cheek and thought hard. Anyways, she had fought. It was her knowledge, perhaps, that made her confident in her ability. But no, that wasn't it. It was more like...greed. Selfishness. She wanted to be someone special, something made out of gold or diamond in a coal mining cart in a mine. She was so selfish. She wanted to make a name for herself for the fame. She wanted to cover up all her flaws with a golden sheen. That was the truth of Scheherazade's ability. She hid herself beneath a soft veneer of excellence, always had, always would. She was soft-spoken and demure and could think for herself, but Scheherazade had always read what others had wanted to see and molded herself into that person. She had basked in the fame and glory where she should have helped others out of the goodness of her heart. She could say that with equal parts shame and resignation. But that was a truth of her soul. It was something that she could not change. It was so basic and primal within her, that she did not know how to suppress it. It was like hunger. How could you stop hunger? Scheherazade remembered the things she had read, the actions she had performed, the words she had spoken. It was simple and basic. She had believed that such fame, such glory, such admiration, would bring her happiness. And who didn't want happiness? Every action, every deed, every simple act committed by a human-it was in the name of happiness. You did it for another person, you might say, or argue. You did it to keep yourself in good terms with the person. Why did you eat when you were hungry? Because it made you satisfied and happy. Why did you drink when you were thirsty? Because it made you feel better and therefore happier. It was an eternal curse or a blessing, you might say. But there were more reasons than that. If Scheherazade had wanted merely to be happy from the admiration and honor from others, she might have stayed inside of the town, saving players in acts of petty robbery and so forth. But she didn't. It was simple, the other reason. She had merely not wanted anyone to suffer. Kindness, some might have called it. She called it pure selfishness. Because she did not want anyone to suffer? No. It was because she believed she could relate to their suffering, and her suffering was worse than theirs, or at least subconsciously. It was such a basic belief that she could not change it. It was like telling yourself that you did not exist or that the world that you lived in did not exist. She believed that her suffering had been greater. Her, who had suffered so little when compared to others. Her, who had suffered mere words and curses and lies and drinks and beliefs and religions and hexes and truths. She had been the face of ridicule, sometimes in physical form, sometimes in emotional form. But how much had it been? Curses, slurs, harsh shoves, stolen textbooks that cost hundreds, crying prayers to the empty sky, broken mirror shards in her skin, pain, whispered murmurs, her mother's screams, her father's hopeless mutters, her brother's picture on an altar as ash scattered through the house from the altar they had set up in memory of his death. How much had she really suffered? She had ran away from all her problems. It had been effective, yes, but cowardly. She had believed she could take no more pain. And now she didn't want anyone to suffer because it reminded her too much of her own suffering? She squeezed her eyes shut internally, letting her mind close in a blissful haze of black that enveloped her mental senses. How selfish could she be? A lot selfish. But that...that could be mistaken for kindness. She didn't want to see anyone she cared about hurt. She didn't want to see anyone hurt. Scheherazade believed in the innate good of each person. No one was born completely evil. There was always one small speck of good, how matter how brightly or dimly lit it was. As long as it was there, she would continue to try not to hurt someone. Willow...Willow had told her the same thing. And she could never, never, see another person in the same light as she had that one girl, the girl who repeated prayers under her breath to learn Arabic when she thought that Scheherazade was asleep, the girl who wept in secret with Scheherazade when she told her the darkest desire of her heart. The girl who had torn Scheherazade's heart to pieces by no fault of her own, but rather, Kayaba's. Scheherazade focused her eyes on the wolf again. She would not allow anyone to get hurt like Willow had. She did not have the mental fortitude, and she needed her sane mind to help Willow, to find her, to find the truth and the true strength that resided within that one girl. She was glorifying things, that was true, but there was nothing she could do with it. She watched the wolf lunge first and moved in, her axe flashing as it struck when the wolf struck as well, but the combined damage of her sword art and her normal attack depleted most of the wolf's HP. When had she gone through the motions of her sword art, anyways? She had no recollection of it, no memories that she could think of. She was a little shocked, but swore internally. The wolf's attack had torn away the piece of fabric at her ankle, and now she was literally gushing blood onto the floor, if not much. The grass directly around her ankle was turning crimson red, and she realized she couldn't keep it up for long. The blonde looked up, and then understood that she had been looking at her injury for quite a long time. Long enough for the wolf to jump at Starlight again, even if it was a different wolf. Her eyes narrowed as she lunged forward at her highest speed, her axe in her hand before it sliced off the wolf's head in one sure strike. The monster dissipated into pixels. Scheherazade breathed hard. Her cheek was completely covered in blood from her one injury earlier. She watched its claw make a movement to slice Starlight's face into shreds, so close was the beast, the monster's eyes boring into the brunette's. She had killed it in that one blow with all her fury. Scheherazade managed to smile before pulling out her health potion and swallowing it, not caring for the taste. She glanced down at her ankle injury, which was mending itself together. Her eyes were still cold and detached and full of icy fury from her one attack. Scheherazade thought of herself as a relatively calm person, but this was an exception. Her emotions still ran high, and detached fury ran through every cell of her body. Her usually gentle expression was cold, and she almost enjoyed the creature's pain, its little whine of excruciating hurt. She watched as the wolf began to dissipate into pixels, and then leaned down to its still existing head. She breathed eleven words quietly into its ear: "I will kill you if you touch any one of them." And then her knees buckled and she fell to the ground, biting her lip to keep from panting, her axe clanging onto the ground and dissipating into her inventory as she brandished her shield. Weak, her mind hissed.

[Starlight]

Damn it!!! Starlight curses quietly to herself as she finally figure out what the shadowy figure must have done, how did it even managed to summon support?! Apparently that was a thing now. She stepped back when she heard the wolf's howling from the distant woods, keeping a careful eyes on the beasts as they approached, she tries to go back to meet up with Sche. With a teammate standing nearby it gives her the extra bit of courage that she needed for the combat, she was still a little shaken by the revelation, and still not yet comes to terms with the reality of the game just yet. Her last attack was done purely out of response to the needs of the situation, but whenever possible, she tries to not take on the danger all by herself just yet. At least, not when there is another solution nearby. Starlight went back to team up with Sche and fight side by side with her again, standing slightly behind Sche, Starlight watches as the first of the incoming wolves running out from the woods up front.

Starlight has her left hand swipe against her sword guard, with a flash of bright red light, her own sword art was activated for the first time in this game. Truth be told, she did not read the monster manual closely, but from what little that she did remember about the Dire Wolf, is that, they are currently more higher level than she is. So she preemptively activated her sword art, whatever comes out from that wood first, she is ready to cut it down and break down its defense. Heck, at the moment, without dragging the fights onward, her sword art might be the only thing that could help her break down their defense and end this fight fast. Whatever comes out of the wood, they actually do needed to be taken down fast.

We cannot afford to be surrounded...

Following close behind Sche, Starlight takes on the role of a support unit and tries to watch out for Sche's back, as Starlight has silently promised before. She watches as Sche engaged on with the first wolf in combat with her axe. The battle rages on as Sche takes on the wolf all by herself, she seems to be going well as the player and the beast were almost evenly matched.  Not sensing any immediate danger, Starlight was starting to feel more confident about the situation, but then she frown as her gaze following Sche's movement. The blonde knight-ish player's movement started to act outside of her normal pattern, (compares to her previous fight with the boar) thinking to herself, Starlight starts to get worried about what could have caused this sudden change in behavior.

But that doesn't means it was a bad thing right...? Because...Sche is still winning this fight...sure her movements are not what they were before, but that wolf is going down fast...

As Starlight watches the first wolf trying to go after her, still in alert, but having Sche still standing somewhat close to her, the blonde female player blocked the incoming attack of the wolf with her axe and retaliated with her axe. The first wolf was going off in pixels. Starlight relaxed a little bit as the most immediate threat was erased, she didn't even notice the second wolf coming out from the woods to her left, coming right at her. When she did caught the sound of something crossing through air, she instinctively takes a step back and turns around, just as the second wolf was about to claw her in the face. But at that very moment, Sche comes to her aid again and as her axe flashes with bright flashes of light, her sword art (axe art?) goes off, axing the wolf right on its head, killing it upon the instant of impact.  

This time around Starlight did not even have the time to see the second wolf goes into pixel, as the third wolf finally reaches them. Just as well because her sword art at this point is about to over charge and disappear whether she likes it or not, she immediately stepped around Sche in front of her and brings her great sword hard into the wolf's head, striking twice in consecutive motion, that one attack brings down the third wolf's health bar down to a little over half. 

I need to attack it two more times to empty its health bar, but where are its two friends, I thought I saw five wolves all together, but this counted three. Did the last two wolves went after Angelo? Or are they still hiding in the woods, waiting for an opportunity for ambush? 

"Damn...!" She curses, I do not have the luxury to worry about something else right now, I need to take this thing down! Starlight dodged back and to her left just as the wolf's attack cut through in front of her path, landing on the ground where she stood only moments before. Starlight yelled to her blonde hair teammate "Sche! Don't worry about me, go after Angelo, I think the other two wolves went after him!" As she was trying to let her teammate know that she was ok, the wolf seized this opportunity and attacked once again, Starlight reacted just a second too slow as she bought her great sword up and use it like a makeshift shield to block the incoming attack. She did not have the time to readjust her stands, unevenly balanced she was pushed off of her feet by the wolf and dropped to the ground on her back. The wolf did not let up as it landed right on top of her, claws pushing down her great sword, and Starlight pushes up her great sword with one hand on handle and the other along the blade supporting the weight, using the metal as the last barrier between the beast and the player.

The wolf snarled and open its mouth, sharp tooth showing as it chows down on her. Before the impact can be made, Starlight bought her sword up and using all of her might, cutting the wolf along its ribs, pushing the wolf off of her with the momentum. Without a moment to lose, she quickly roll to her foot and knee, she reverse griped her great sword, and bought it down hard, stabbing the wolf in its soft stomach. That was the last hit as the wolf goes up and disappeared in to countless pixels. 

Breathing hard, Starlight looks around for any more incoming enemies, seeing none, she would have assumed that the last two wolves have indeed went after the white hair teammate. Fearing that the might be fighting two wolves all by himself, Starlight quickly looted the ground for drops (sorry angelo has to be done) and goes searching for the rest of her team. 

She can only hope that she is not too late!!!
