Location: At the city gate for the town of beginnings. A small resting spot is located here with several players gathered around listening to Zeroth giving his speech. PRIVATE: See page 2, first post by EVENT for details. Difficulty: Level 1+ Danger: Medium - Keep on your toes and bring a few healing sources! Notes: Anyone interested in joining, simply go sign up or approach Zeroth and his two companions Alexx and Pentagan, the thread starts here and now but will be moved once the party is ready. Health bars are not needed to be kept track of here. All health and damages will be determined by staff. The man had stood tall, standing up on his wooden stage ascended only slightly higher than the personnel sitting at the tables around him. "It's time we start getting this game going!" he said with a smile on his face. "Kayaba will not win this!" he announced. He was a average high male clad in leather armor. It was clearly not the armor from the start of the game. He appeared to be better than most of the other players. Like he had some kind of advantage. His long golden hair moved in the breeze and his spear was tightly strapped to his back. "Tonight we will find the bosses room, and then once its located we come back and prepare a raid party!" he announced confidently. "This mission should not be too high risk, I have already delved into the dungeon a bit with my two companions here." he stated looking down to his two colleagues sitting at the table closest to him. a longs word and shield user and another spear user. "My name is Zeroth, or Z for short. I personally have already slain the boss in the beta. I hope to have this floor cleared by the end of the week so we can move on. We can't be trapped here forever, we will succeed in making it out!" he said. "To anyone who is interested here, please come to me after this message and we can start allocating the group for this mission. We are fine taking all levels and perhaps you can even grow with us. We intend to clear the game as fast as possible, but we also want to be safe, and with numbers comes security." He said before stepping down from his stage and pinning a sign up list on it. He sat the the table with his allies as a few players made their way over to the signup sheet and over to him to ask a few questions.

Hiroko laughed silently and smiled after such an introduction. He was new in this world, he wasn't a beta tester and was nothing but a rookie. His level was also low and had nothing good to fight with, but who cared. An adventure was an adventure and he really was looking for something to clear his mind. Maybe some action could help him out with that. He used his elbow to poke and get a stranger's attention. This guy was about the same size as him and had black hair. He was sitting next to Hiroko and quickly turned towards the rookie warrior. "What do you think about this? About all of this? You joining?" Asked Hiroko. The stranger had a very insecure face and took his time to answer. "Well, it's a dungeon boss you know. Nothing to take lightly, it's the strongest enemy we've known about since the game started. Not sure if I'll join." Said the guy as he looked down. "Don't worry dude, it's fine if you don't go. And if you do, we'll have some fun time." He concluded and stood up and decided to head towards the table in front of him. He stepped and got to the three guys sitting there. It wasn't something easy, he had to push his way through until he finally got to them. "Hey there." He said as he looked at the guy with the long sword. Hiroko extended his hand to introduce himself. "I'm Hiroko, would you guys take a rookie like me to your adventure?" He said with a huge excitement smile. He looked quite brave or maybe stupid with that enthusiasm about joining, but that was himself having some fun in this new world.

[Voron]

☒ Event ? ✐ 000 ✉ The ale sucks anyway

Voron didn't get up immediately, but waited a moment or two for the main bulk of the crowd to gather round Zeroth's table. Most of the people who got up seemed determined, or foolish, or a little mix of both. He overheard a couple players whispering not very quietly to his left. "Sounds like a scam" one said. "Probably just gonna throw us in there to weaken them, and take the spoils for 'emselves" the other murmured to the first one to speak. They snickered nastily to themselves and left the tavern out the back door, drawing up there hoods as they went. Voron sighed in annoyance, partly because of what those two said, but mostly because he almost considered those words himself. Voron decided, to hell with them, when I kick that bosses arse and move us further along in the game, they'll still be here, miserable and ashamed. Voron stood up, and slipped  through the crowd, recognizing some faces he's seen around, giving a nod to some of the ones he had spoken to before. He nudged a man aside and got to the front, quickly scribbling his name of the sign up sheet, and stepped aside, listening to some of the players chat with Zeroth and his party.

Kyo had waited a moment for the crowd to die down. He had already seen a few stronger looking people within the group so he had felt fairly comfortable with this. 'A beta tester...' he thought to himself 'They already cleared this floor in the beta, he has to know what hes talking about...' Kyo had seen an opening in the crowd to the sign up sheet and had made his way through to see Voron on the other side. "Hey man!" he said approaching Voron as he signed off his name on the list. "I feel much better about this knowing your here too!" he said with a warm smile before also adding his name to the dungeon raid group.

Availability: This thread is open to anyone at the moment, there is room for another player or two but we will start with or without any more players in the next 48 hrs, or sooner if we get anyone else. Health bars are not needed to be kept track of here. All health and damages will be determined by staff. The crowd began to grow rapidly of people in all kinds of fashions. Some were already upset about the man claiming to be a beta tester. The beta testers had advanced knowledge of the game, allowing many of them to believe them 'hogging' all of the spoils of victory. Most of the beta testers, however, had provided all known information already to help players survive the game. Some thought this was crazy and were disputing the sacrifice of the lives of people. Few, but still some, had either decided to sign up, or at least commemorate these brave soldiers entering the fray so that they didn't have to. Alexx had looked up as Hiroko had extended his arm out, questioning if he was going to be accepted into the party. Alexx, the sword and shield user with black hair and a scar over his left eye had been kind of bulky. Not like he was overweight but rather the kind of guy who hit the gym far more than he should for his frame, giving unusual muscle shapes under his clothing. He had grasped Hiroko's hand firmly with a smile on his face. "Damn straight!" he said "The more the merrier, the faster we can help you level up, the faster you can be more useful!" he said cheerfully before sending a party invite. Pentagan the other lancer had left the table and had walked up over by the sign up sheet. He had examined the paper with the two names so far listed on it. "You guys the two who signed up for this?" He looked examining their gear and sending out the party invite.

There was currently a growing level of interest forming from people who wanted to join the so-called 'beta-tester's' raid party. However as more people approached the signup sheet they would find themselves stalled behind a young blond, unable to make her decision. She simply stood there, holding the pen for signup, "I'm already in so much trouble anyway. . ." She whispered, inching her hand closer to the list. Winter read the last two names already on the paper, (Voron and Kyo,) before furrowing her brow in disappointment. Of course she wouldn't know any of these people. She hasn't even spoken to one person since she got here. Pursing her lips again, her body withdrew from the sheet, preparing herself to place the pen down when she only just noticed the clutter of people standing behind her with impatient glances on their faces.  Glowing bright red in the face she bowed and quickly apologised to the group, wanting nothing more than to get out of this place. In her hurried state, Winter ended up walking straight into the person in front of her with a small, "umph...!!"

Before Voron had much of an opportunity to reply Kyo had rocked forward slightly with a woman's voice behind him. He quickly turned to see the pale blonde woman behind him, with her red complexion from possible embarrassment or anger. He smiled wide in effort to cheer her up. "You look like you were coming from the signup sheet. You coming with us? Looking like its going to be fun!" he said, but quickly replied to his own comment, not giving much room to reply, "This is Voron" he said, moving a bit out of the way and jarring his arm aside to present his ally. "Hes coming too!"

"Sumimasen." She apologised to Kyo breathlessly, her eyes darting to Voron. Although his jet black gaze was a little unsettling to say the least, Winter offered him a small smile. She could do more to be friendlier.... but its a bit too difficult to act livelier,  given the current circumstances....  "Perhaps," She began, taking a step back to get a full view of the young man she'd bumped shoulders with. "Could you be Kyo?"  A simple guess from reading the signup sheet earlier, although an actual tab target of his figure confirmed it to be so. "Actually n-no.. I didn't signup. Because... Well. It seems rather... scary." She answered while thinking of it in his words: 'fun.' "Don't misunderstand..." She spoke, stepping off to the side so people could get a more clear way to the sheet while she carried on with her point, "Fighting the boss monster does seem pretty daunting, especially considering that if we die in this game, we die in real life too." The tips of her pointing fingers came together as she sheepishly confided in these two strangers. "However, my real fear is... dying alone in here."  She pursed her lips and braced herself to be laughed at and ridiculed by her present company.

Kyo smiled, "Yeah, that's me! I guess you pulled that out of the short raid party list" he said laughing. Kyo stopped for a minute to compile a good answer for her. He seemed lost in thought for a moment as if he didn't have an answer to give. "Hmm... well... were all scared. I doubt theres a single person in this game right now that isn't. Being scared isn't going to save us all though." He spoke rather valiantly, smirk still on his face. "Besides, if we all end up going down, we won't go down alone. We die for our cause with our comrades. I still have many dreams and aspirations in the real world to fulfill and I'm not going to lay around here until I die." he then looked up to make sure she was still paying attention. Kyo seemed to go off on his speech, not really being the best at communication and conversations, however, he still tried his all to offer his reasoning behind the mission.

He didn't seem as morose as the others, which admittedly made her feel guilty for behaving this way.  By the end of his piece her eyes were closed and her lips a solemn straight line. It didn't seem as though she was really listening to Kyo at all. A lull would fall between them for a moment, an uncomfortable silence before finally, a small but comfortable sigh of relief. Turning on her heel, she made her way over to indicate her interest for the raid once again, looking over at Kyo and Voron as she noted her ign down. WinterSong "I guess you are right." She said simply, "Although... Perhaps its better not to plan on dying at all. Isn't that right? Eheh~ Thank you for this."  Winter's eyes smiled at them with a hint of playfulness in her tone. Once she was finished with inputting her name, Winter would then be ushered aside by an eager group of friends who wanted to make it last minute into the raid.  Accepting it as the proper moment to part from Kyo and Voron, she made her way over towards the general vicinity of the mysterious beta-tester. Seating herself in a position where she could possibly see or learn more about him quietly on her own.

When everyone thought the crowd had more or less gathered and the line was dying, one extra little head pops up. No, she wasn't there to begin with. She was pretty much clueless and just came because she had never seen such a large gathering since... Well, the day she found out she was gonna be stuck in here for a long time. Well, more people are stronger, right? Looking at the sheet, she shrugged and put her name on it. Lucia Tons of players, promise of adventure, what could go wrong? Well, a great many things, and for not noticing something like that, one would probably think of Lucia being a bit younger than she really was. Standing around, she listened in on people's conversations, which were generally about being excited and stuff. What blissful ignorance.

Anyone else's posts will be removed and will be presented a warning for entering a private thread. Difficulty: Level 1+ Danger: Medium - Keep on your toes and bring a few healing sources! Notes: Once the combat begins we will be broken down into turn order as follows: Zeroth, Alexx, Pentagan, Kyo, Lucia, Voron, WinterSong This was determined by agility, though Lucia / Voron / WinterSong all had 3 so we rolled that out. The crowd had begun to clear our as the sun began to draw down. It looked as if this whole raiding party had more hype than expected, either that or everyone was too cowardly to stand up and fight to move on. Only 7 people remained still on the grounds, however there was still a bit of time before setting out. Now was the time to organize plans and for any last minute retreating any of the final few would have. Zeroth, the muscular lancer stood up, still feeling triumphant victory with such a small turnout compared to the crowd who was initially there. He sent a party invite to anyone who was not already in the party. "I know it looks as if we are not many, but seven is a magnificent sized party! I would want more for fighting the boss, but the little Kobolds inside that dungeon won't even know what hit 'em as we plunge through that dungeon. Before we leave, I want to set a few ground rules. This party will be on a fair-roll looting. Everyone has a one-in-seven odds of getting any good loot that drops. If you decide you don't need the item afterwords, sell it for gold so we have no disagreements among us. The less we fight over profit, the better we'll get along in the next party where we take down the boss, provided you all still trust my leadership after this mission. Our second rule will be to keep each other safe. I know you're all a bit newer to this game than we are, but don't worry about dealing damage if it is at the cost of safety. Our number one priority on this mission is to locate the dungeon boss and to strength our skills to prepare us for that fight. If someone dies tonight that blood will forever be on my hands so I have no intentions of letting that happen. Alexx here is one of my best friends. We entered this game together, though we have known each other for years before. I trust him with my life. Trust your life to his shield, he will keep you safe. Our third and final rule... Don't run. Unless I call for a retreat as a group, which is very unlikely to happen, if someone runs there is a good chance enemies will be able to pick that person off alone. There is strength and numbers and death in solitude, keep your calm and we'll make it out unscathed. " He finally stopped to take a moment to breath before looking among his six comrades for the upcoming mission. "Any questions?" he asked.

Kyo watched as the crowd died down. He expected it to. Honestly, why would it be worth sticking around to join a team who's intentionally going into harms way. Still, the goal was worth it. The game had to be won. Kyo listened to the speech, though not sure if he would agree to the rule entirely. He understood their purpose, but he also does not know this man, to place that much trust in him was a bit overwhelming. Still, he did respect him. He gave a nod of approval as the speech had ended and looked at the rag-tag team remaining. He was happy Voron was there, his only companion prior to this fight. He felt significantly more trust in him than anyone else. He was also happy WinterSong had decided to stay. While he almost felt bad for convincing her to stick around in possible risk, he was happy to have someone else who was level headed enough to weigh in the risk before deciding to stay. Though, he was going to try and make sure she remained safe to the end as he already gave his word on it. He looked over to the others. The small girl Lucia looked to be a bit young for this. She clearly was a kid, as the Nervegear took actual scans of the body there was no changing that... She looked young but perhaps she could hold her own? After all, its a game. Age won't effect anything so long as she understands the mechanics of the game and how to apply them. Real world combat practice and physical muscle/body mass would mean nothing as a light swing doesn't even differ from one with all of your strength behind it.  We'll be alright, he thought. Looking to the trio leading the pack. The clearly were beta testers. They had gear, stats, and guts. So long as they have the brain to follow through perhaps they would even be someone to follow through the game.

Largely concerned that her lack of knowledge would be a hinderance to their mission, she stayed to the side and watched everyone quietly. The crowd was significantly reduced to a single party of seven, although the beta trio made it seem as though they were more than capable of facing whatever was beyond the depths of the dungeon.  She caught a glance of Kyo and quickly looked away, mostly out of shyness. (Considering he was the one she just babbled all that feely stuff to earlier.....) but then her eyes followed back to his position, grinning to him when she noticed he was now looking over at her too.  'What's on his mind?' She thought to herself, 'he'd better be focused when its go-time...' A small part of her heart sank when her gaze followed his deep stare that finally settled on the bright-eyed youth, Lucia. Winter was instantly reminded of the small boy who she was babysitting when all this happened... But then a small heroic voice in her head told her that it was better that it was her than him, being locked up in this high-stakes game.  Although it may only be the first floor, that same voice in her mind also told her that they must overcome this stage, the first step on a long journey to one day return to the real world.  "I don't have any questions sir, please take good care of us." She requested.
