In-Game Character Design
Players name: Kristina Yamazaki-Wallace
Players age: 16
Relationship status: Single (In-Game + Real Life)
Nationality: Australia
Ethnicity: Australian/Japanese
Likes: Takeaway, instant food, video games (obviously xD), napping almost anywhere, manga, web comics, web series, classical music, J-Pop, K-Pop, punk-rock, guitar, piano, violin, NSFW content, cooking, confident people, strong people, swimming, basketball, volleyball, writing, sketching, clothing design, sewing, singing, dancing (but she never tells anyone this one), girly clothing (also hidden knowledge), history, accessories, burgundy, headphones.
Dislikes: Most physical activity, social situations, being told to pause her games, being woken up prematurely, people drawing attention to her large bust, studying, spending money, uncertainty, judgmental people, alcohol, tobacco, bikinis with removable straps, when food takes forever to make, people taking her food, people she dislikes touching her, lychees, watermelon, toffee, mathematics.
Character name: Kurina
Faceclaim: Original Art
Appearance: Kristina has raven locks that are so common to Asian countries, both full and mostly straight save for the slight wave it falls into toward the tips. She wears it in an asymmetrical cut, having it short and rather choppy on the left side while the right brushes past her shoulder, her right-curving fringe fades into this. Her skin is the colour of milk tea; light thanks to her mother, but still a warmer shade due to her father and is mostly soft, and flawless except for a few almost subtle scars on her arms and legs from scabs picked at as a child. She stands at 5’5” when upright, and 5’3” when she slouches. Her physique is relatively nice due to her high metabolic rate, only giving her a bit of excess fat in a few places that is easily hidden by her clothing; aside from her thighs that she will complain about from time to time, due to their thickness. Other than that, she has a petite frame, and would undoubtedly have a lithe figure were it not for her awful eating habits and lack of exercise. Even if it weren’t for her extra bits of squish here and there, her bust is rather sizeable, being a sound E16 in Australian bra measurements. Her face also has traces of fat, given it a rather oval shape, with pinchably plush cheeks. Her eyes are large, and quite round, in a shade of crystal blue; in the right light they appear to sparkle with flecks of grey. Below the corner of her left eye sits a small beauty mark. Two things people tend to mention are the small size of her ears, something that embarrasses her greatly, and her hands which appear to always be the opposite of the temperature; cool and soothing in the summer, or warm and welcoming in the winter; they are also commented to be incredibly smooth. As Kurina she, like plenty of other players, has altered her hair colour. Now her hair is more the shade of dark chocolate with a slight, rose tint. In both real life and Aincrad, she wears her hair in a short ponytail or a ballerina bun.

Sword Art: Dizzy Blade
Effect: Dizzy blade is a skill that, as its name suggests, only works on bladed weapons such as the different kinds of swords and daggers. It acts as a way to increase the chances of hitting an enemy, making it more difficult for them to discern when and where the strike will hit. Remaining in the triggering stance for 1 round raises her hit rate by a certain percentage, and the second round raises it by a higher percentage. (Combat Active: +50% to attack rolls for 1 round, +75% to attack rolls for round 2, Enemy gets -10% to DEF for both rounds) (Can only be engaged after cool-down is complete)
Trigger: To trigger this Sword Art, the player must take a ready stance with their blade in a comfortable position, but this changes for each blade. For a dagger, Kurina would keep her feet in a ready stance and hold the dagger near her chest with its blade flat against her arm. She must maintain this stance for one of the aforementioned periods of time before moving in as though making a normal strike, only a might faster.
Description: This Art makes it seem as though she is striking a number of different ways at the same time. The arm with which she is wielding the blade appears to multiply and move in from different angles toward different points on the body. Because this requires a faster movement than a usual attack, the rush causes a slight breeze that is meant to chill and surprise the target. It even sounds as though there are several strikes occurring.
[Personality]
Kurina is a bit of a clingy player. If she meets someone she feels she can trust, she will trail along after them like a puppy. She is also very compliant, following the orders of anyone she believes to have more tactical skill than herself. When placed into a more social setting, and given the chance to casually interact with other players, she doesn’t actually speak up unless encouraged by a third party, choosing to read up on guides, level up her talents, or quietly follow around someone she has latched onto out of loyalty and fear. However, if she is acquainted with the person, she will smile more often, and have a playful disposition; choosing to hug, joke with, and casually chat with others. But, she is incredibly loyal, and protective; almost reckless in regards to the safety of those she cares for. Unbeknownst to most people, she is actually a closet pervert and will occasionally steal glances at people she finds to have attractive traits; male and female. Sadly, Kurina is a bit of a jumpy crybaby. If someone takes her by surprise, she has to make a conscious effort not to scream and whip out her dagger, she will turn around just as quickly as she would if someone were making an attempt on her life though. In unforeseen situations that cause intense distress, she also has to force herself not to cry; though her eyes will tear up quite a bit.
As Kristina, she has enough friends to not be lonely in a crowd. While she adores her friends, she still prefers her own company more often than not. She is usually quiet, unless engaging with a friend; in which case she will speak quite animatedly about whatever comes to mind. Games and pop culture are her biggest draw, and are the most likely thing to lure her out of her shell. Although, kindness and patience are just as good at lowering her walls. At home, she is also rather quiet unless being tasked with caring for her three younger brothers. When around them, she is either a doting “nee-chan” or a firm, and responsible “nee-sama”. But, even if she never outwardly admits it, she is quite proud of her precious siblings.
[Biography]
Kristina’s life was quite normal. She grew up, having her parents teach her both English and Japanese respectively. When of age, she attended school. Shortly after her sixth birthday, her first little brother was born; it was the first time she had a mature thought; a promise to herself that she would protect this small child that would later become her clingiest sibling. Two years later, her next brother was born, eventually becoming the one she doted on most. Then, in the winter of her 5th grade school year, her third brother would be born to their family. After certain circumstances, her father was forced to quit his job right in the middle of her year in 6th grade, and her mother was only a volunteer at the local library. Her mother’s parents offered to take them in, leading to them moving to Japan. Due to her grandfather having been a lawyer, and her grandmother having inherited a traditional Japanese restaurant from her own mother, they had a rather spacious home, and more than enough money to get by as a family. Thankfully, unlike many parents of a half and half child, her grandparents were very open-minded and would even ask her to teach them some more English for when foreigners came to their restaurant. In an attempt to help her become more social, as she had a habit of keeping to herself despite being considered quite likeable, her mother and grandmother encouraged her to work as one of the waitresses in the restaurant. Her shy demeanor tended to endear her to customers now and again, drawing in a few regulars that enjoyed cooing over the quiet but diligent worker. Even so, she still preferred the company of fictional characters, and the voices of voice actors; due to this, after entering a Japanese high school, she developed a crush on one of her teachers because he resembled the love interested in a dating sim she loved. This love of games eventually leads to her becoming trapped in SAO as one of the (un)fortunate 10, 000 people to get their hands on a copy of the game. As Kurina, she has very little history in Aincrad, accepting the situation and trying to adjust to her new situation.
