"Guilt, hmm?" Elpharae asked lightly, a note of dry humor entering his tone. God, he was so off today, wasn't he? He shook it off, though, listening to her next words. "Not ever becoming friends with anyone? That has got to be the most interesting thing I've ever heard. Without a guild or party, there's only so far you can go. And I'm guessing you want to be a front-line player. Connections can prove useful...but tiring. No one cares about who you are, just who they want you to be. Just pretend to be that person...and they'll do anything you want."
"Fast walker?" He raised an eyebrow, amused. "Thank you, I suppose. I'm-We're, actually, heading towards the other side of the plains. Soon, the edge will be filled with players, and so you're going to be hard-pressed to find a target if you want to grind. Strength will get you far in this game," Elpharae teased playfully, "But so will logical thinking. We should encounter an enemy soon...like that one." He stopped talking, instead focusing on a duo of boars in front of them. Spinning on his heel, he inclined his head at the redhead.
"Would you like to the honors and attack first?" He asked in a droll tone, unsheathing his rapier. It made a clean noise, and he tested it out before shifting into a stance that would do for now, sword running vertically across his torso and feet a decent length apart. Elpharae hoped that this girl was strong-he was built for agility and speed, not strength or endurance. Like a hummingbird. He hid his laugh with a quiet cough, then turned to the redhead, anticipating her movement.
