Effect:
Gives off a large amount of light. (The actual effectiveness of the light, at first, I’m hoping will be low. Just because I want it to be very powerful when I go and level it more!) (AoE Utility Skill: No damage, 50% chance of inflicting blind status on close enemies in area. If successful inflicted enemies start at 25% recovery each round with +25% recovery chance accumulating every additional round thereafter.)
Trigger:
Violetta (Athena) readies herself by squaring her feet on the ground and putting her weapon directly over her ‘magic circle’, then swings her rapier in an ‘X’ motion.
Description:
To Violetta, this motion feels very unnatural. She thrives on outsmarting her enemies, but with this being her trump card, she knows that she has to admit that she might not be able to defeat the enemy she uses it against. The motion itself seems easy enough, since a rapier is normally light and can move relatively easily.
Personality
Athena is a very composed girl. Some people may call her so calm that it lies within the brink of insanity. She can calm down in almost any situation, but she’s willing to let her calm go if she has to. Since she’s so calm, it’s quite easy for her to focus on a number of things. Especially when it comes to reading people. She loves that more than anything. People in general just interest her. And the idea behind SAO has got her stumped. She’s not exactly sure what motive someone could’ve had for making this situation a reality.
Athena enjoys games, puzzles, and riddles. She likes using her brain and being challenged by hard puzzles. The situation she’s in now is helping her thrive significantly since she’s trying to figure out the weaknesses of both players and enemies alike. Most things are like a chess board in her head; people being pawns, and the goal to destroy the other team with the least number of casualties to feel overwhelming victory.
Athena is… Some would say… Distant. She doesn’t always understand where people are coming from with extreme outbursts of emotion because she’s a little apathetic. She almost never speaks first in a conversation because she’s not courageous or spontaneous. If she does happen to speak first, you should know it’s something important.
Biography
Violetta was always the child that made other children unhappy. She grew up in London, England with her two normal parents. Violetta always lived what many would call a ‘normal’ life, although anyone who met her knew that she was not a ‘normal’ child. Violetta would always play with puzzles when she was little. She even learned to solve a Rubik’s Cube in under 30 seconds when she was 5 years old. Violetta was always strong in school, but she never found any specific interest in anything she ever did besides puzzles.
Violetta had her first gaming console when she was 10 years old. She always played strategy games, fantasy games, and puzzle games. She especially loved it when a game combined all three genres. She loved the thrill of making a plan, and when it didn’t work out, she’d get frustrated. But as she grew older, she became more adept at strategy games, making plans that had many backups in case certain things didn’t work out. Possibilities were where Violetta lived through her teenage years. She was always speaking about things that might happen. (Albeit, sometimes her conversations weren’t useless because some things she’d predict would come true.)
When Violetta turned 16, she started to observe people. It actually started in a theatre class she took in her high school career. The teacher would always tell the class that they needed to pay attention to their physical body and their facial expression in order to fully embody and embrace a character. That was the moment she took interest in other people and their emotions, as well as their physicality. It helped her find out what kind of person someone was, as well as any physical weaknesses they might have.
Then, Violetta bought a game called SAO for her newest gaming gear, and she entered the world of SAO for the first time. And maybe the last...
