Availability: Open to anyone willing to join. Every 24hrs' with no replies I will reply to myself. Location: A large open field just outside of the town of beginnings. The field is spacious with few new players willing to leave the safety of the walls yet due to the risk of death. The fields are flooded with boars waiting to be hunted. Kyo emerges from the gates of the town of beginnings. "I guess now is better than ever..." he mutters to himself lifting is blade from his sheath to a readied position looking down at the closest boar to town. He was scared and excited at the same time. He had not actually got a chance to play the game yet and it looked like a lot of fun, but with the new rules applied who wouldn't be scared? He browsed the menu for a minute, reading the guide to make sure he didn't do anything wrong. He put his starter potions on his quick use items and read up a bit on activating his sword skills. After a moment he targeted the boar, pulling up its stats. 'Level 1... this should be easy... I hope...' he thought to himself. He readied his blade to his side; holding it a bit awkwardly in his pose. He began charging at the boar who still did not seem to notice him. "VIOLET GALE!" He yelled as his blade began to glow a deep violet. The boar took notice to Kyo's charge and announcement and began running at him as well. Kyo darted forward before doing a swift two swings with his iron blade. The beast hadn't even made it to Kyo before the blade had split it in three pieces. It all happened in a flash. So fast, yet so slow. Kyo had taken his first victim in SAO and it kind of felt good. The beast howled as it burst into nothingness, pixels melting through the air in a blue array of dust. "YES!" Kyo exclaimed to the world about him as he took down his first monster and the rewards screen popped up. He had taken his spoils and moved on to the next boar, noticing his sword art was on cool down this time. He charged forward and lunged at his next prey. The boar had quickly turned and struck as well. Both were solid blows. Kyo had hit the boar first, hitting it for 14 damage. The boar had pushed itself straight through Kyo right after the hit. Kyo had flew back and instantly reacted with a scream "AH!" before realizing the strike didnt really hurt. He was okay. He got back up and readied his sword. He looked up at his health bar. "Its still green so I should be alright." He thought to himself. Lv.1 Boar

"Um..." ☒ Kyo ✐ 000 ✉ notes Voron Lv1

Voron was sitting outside, thinking over what Kayaba had said. "That's pretty messed up..."  Voron whispered to himself. He had slipped out shortly after the speech was over, and had been sitting outside of the town since. Slowly, other players had been coming out as well. Some looked lost, some sad, while other's looked absolutely furious. The latter seeming to run off into the distance or start hacking up the boars that were all over the field. Voron stood up and shook his head violently. "I'm not going to let the crap he said bum me out. I'll help beat this game, even if it kills me!" He began to look at each of the players killing boars more closely. Voron had an excellent visual memory, and began to practice a few jabs and slashes with his dirk. Finding it to be almost effortless, he quickly opened up the help menu and read up more on dagger fighting and his move-sets. After a few minutes, he felt satisfied enough to try it out on the real thing. Approaching a boar from it's back, he pointed his iron dirk forward and charged up a sword skill. "EVIL EYE!" Voron drew his arm back and dashed forward, feeling as quick and light as the breeze, only to have the boar turn around and face him as they collided. His blade stabbed the boar right in the eye, but the boars tusk managed to scrape his arm in the process. Voron breathed in fearfully, but realized the boar had burst into a bunch of pixels already. "not... quite as well as I had planned He chuckled to himself. His health had barely gone down. He had been lucky this time, but more care was needed in the future. Looking around him, he noticed a longsword user was nearby, slaying some boar as well. He saw the figure enter a sort of standoff with another boar right after he defeated the first. Voron decided to watch, seeing how this other player and himself seemed to have similar ideas. Plus, he wouldn't feel so embarrassed about being injured by a weak enemy since the other guy got hit as well.

Kyo had set his sword forward, aiming it at his opponent who he know stared eye to eye. The boar gave a huff before charging. Time stopped. Kyo had begun analyzing every step of the fight. He had seen how easily he could overcome the boar with his sword art without putting himself in any risk at all. Though the damage inflicted by the boar was small it was still something to be afraid of when his life was on the line. Just as the boar had nearly made contact a glimpse of the character creation screen had come to mind. He thought about the skills he had chosen and what they meant to him. Quickly he had thought to use his «ACROBATICS» skill to overcome his foe. The last second gave way as the boar had reach its target. Kyo had reach his hand out landing it just between the tusks of the boar right to its head. A risky move, placing yourself into a shot; however he had felt this was the time to learn, after all the hit shouldn't be fatal if he failed.  Being no real expert on parkour in the real world, he really didn't have any idea where to go with this stunt. He remember reading that the skill allows advanced controls over aerial and climbing motions. As his hand pressed down he had felt his legs kick up off the ground, and in that instant Kyo had taken flight. A vault over the boar was as simple as that, a task that would be incredibly difficult to manage in real life. He felt his right leg land on the back of the boar just to get a final shove off it completing his ascension a few feet off the ground. The surreal second came to an abrupt stop though. As Kyo hit the ground he quickly gathered his position back into a combat stance before turning and lunging through the boars backside. It couldn't turn nearly as fast as he could, and was struck without retaliation. He saw the boars health drop relatively low but it was still standing. A 12 damage indicator was listed over it. Kyo broke a sweat as the drop of salty water hit his eye. Quickly he began rubbing his eye refining his vision for the upcoming next trade off with this boar. He was amazed how real it all felt. 'Sweat, in a video game? Who would have ever thought...' He clenched his blade tightly, gripping it with both hands this time when to his surprise the boar began retreating. He almost felt kind of bad, but he knew its just pixels where he is something more than just pixels. As it began its retreat Kyo had seen Voron watching from the corner of his eye. It didn't really concern him though, and he continued to chase after the boar. The boar was wimping aloud at this point as Kyo finally caught up to strike the final blow. The reward screen quickly came up and Kyo had taken his spoils before noticing two more boar quickly approaching. Both of them seemed to be targeting him. "I thought these things were neutral, not hostile mobs..." he muttered as the came running at him. Kyo looked back the boy watching from behind him. "Hey mind lending me a hand?" he called out before turning and readying his sword for his next battle.  Lv.1 Boar Lv.1 Boar

☒ Kyo ✐ 007 ✉ Uses Rock throw! Voron Lv1

"Roger that!" Voron responded, darting to Kyo's far left to pick up a rock, and tossed it with all his might at the boar. It connects with a solid sounding 'THWACK' noise. The boar stumbled, then redirected it's charge to Voron! Voron danced to the side of the creature attack, and slashed it for a quick 11 damage on it's side. When it turned to charge again, Voron activated his EVIL EYE sword art, and stabbed it in it's side for just regular damage. The boar made a slight whimpering noise, and went to run off, but Voron stabbed it in the flank, turning it into some more pixels. Voron turned to assist Kyo if necessary, but figured he'd be able to take the boar remaining hostile boar by his self. "I've never seen 'em go hostile like that before."

Kyo had readied himself as the boars charged. Kyo began to panic. He wasnt really sure how the mechanics of this game works with being outnumbered and knockbacks. He though maybe if the two boars continually charged into him he wouldnt have an opening to react. Still, there was no escape. They were clearly faster than he was. Kyo plots his feet hard in the ground, readying his iron blade to his side, both hands gripped tight. Just as the boars had gotten near his position a rock collided with one from the side. The boy from before had been off to his left and seemed to have thrown the rock at the boar to aggro it off of him. He looked quickly to his new ally to make sure he was okay. His health bar appeared to be green from this distance. Kyo smirked lightly, yelling back "Thanks!" before charging at the other boar head on. Kyo had swung his sword with all his might on an angle through the head of the boar, but the tusks seemed to have absorbed most of the damage. Kyo had been launched back a few feet from the strike of the boar and his sword a flown back a few feet, being too hard to hold on to after the hard tusks connected.  The boar began its charge again, Kyo had looked up at both of their healths. The boar seemed to be nearly dead, its health bar was barely visible in a dark red. Kyo himself had gotten his health down to about 60 percent though. His sword was out of reach and there was little time to think. As the boar was mid charge only a few feet from Kyo, he had quickly composed himself getting back up off the ground, and rolled off to the side of the boar dodging his immediate threat. This roll put him even farther from his blade though. The boar was now between him and his weapon.  "Here goes nothing..." he announced while charging at the turning boar. He had to do something, and it was only a little bit of health. He tried to throw a rock from the ground like his new found ally however it was no luck. The rock connected, it just didnt seem to do anything. Perhaps he needed a certain skill to utilize objects like that. The boar was now back a charge toward Kyo. The gap quickly closed between them and at the last moment Kyo had swung his fists directly into the temple of the boar, watching the pixels eradicate around him. 1 Damage had popped up over its head as fist struck. "A lowly 1 damage..." he thought to himself "I guess I was lucky that's all the health it had left... Probably shouldnt try using my fists again..." He had looked up at the field around him and had seen Voron looking back to him, the boar already slain. Kyo grabbed his sword and slowly started walking over to Voron. "Hey! Thanks for the help back there!" he exclaimed, walking toward Voron though still several feet away.

Voron sheathed his dagger, and gave Kyo a small grin. "It's no trouble at all. I saw how you punched that last one! Pretty gutsy." He laughed aloud at the memory of it. Even though this player had taken some decent damage, his fighting was pretty impressive. He took risks that most players wouldn't take knowing that death was on the line, and was learning through trial and error rather than just going by what the guide says. Voron tended to learn best by observing, so in games he tended to stall until a working solution presented itself. Well, until he gets dared or challenged to do something. One of his greatest faults was that he couldn't resist the temptation of a challenge, which he assumed was grained into him by having an older brother growing up that loved to brag. Snapping himself out of his thoughts, He brushed the hair out of his face for a moment, and closed the distance between them and held out his hand for a handshake, resisting his compulsion of not touch people. "The name's Voron. Well, I mean, the username is at least." He said, chuckling at his own lame introduction.

Kyo smiled at Voron, looking down as his hand extending out. Kyo sheathed his blade before moving forward to extend his hand, clasping for a quick hand shake. "Nice to meet you Voron" he said "My name is Kyo. Again, at least here and now it is." He gave a warm smile. "So that rock throwing skill, that looked pretty useful! Were you a beta tester?" Kyo really didn't know what else to ask. Any conversation was better than none though. Kyo was already aware he was going to need some help surviving in this game, and nows as good a time as any to begin finding it.

"Nice to meet you too, Kyo." Voron shook Kyo's hand lightly, not trusting himself fully to pull a weird facial expression from the physical contact. He was glad that Kyo seemed to be friendly. Many people in online games tend to be rude to whomever they chose, likely due to the fact that they felt invincible behind a screen. But those game weren't even close to this game, when it comes to being face-to-face. "I certainly wish I was in the beta! It'd be great to have some insider info. I have the Throwing Mastery skill. It's pretty cool, but I don't think it'll be very good until I get some throwing knives from the shop or something. What was with those cool flips?" Voron smiled, excited at the prospects of making a new friend, especially in a hostile game world like SAO. Voron glanced at his small experience gain from the Boars, and sighed. "how many Boars do you think we're gonna have to slay to level up?" He said, only half-jokingly.

"1000 Boars later..." ☒ @Voron ✐ 244 ✉ Party? Kyo Lv1

Kyo smiled at the site of a friendly face. He had honestly expected to meet some friends in the game quickly before everything started, but after Kayabas speech he kind of expected it to become a dog-eat-dog kind of world real fast. Perhaps it just hasnt set in around all the players yet. "Yeah that's pretty cool I bet you could pick them up cheap... I wonder if you need to buy them as just a one time item or if you need to keep repurchasing knives as you consume them." He said. The conversation continued on. "I honestly don't know what I did to do that... I have the acrobatic talent and I thought about what I wanted to achieve and started the actions but my body just kind of went with it. I feel like in the real world I would have probably tensed up and not been able to force my body to pull a stunt like that." He looked at his experience bar, "Well while it wasnt much, we really haven't been at it much. Hopefully we dont have to take down too many of them." he said confidently, trying to boost moral of his new ally. '1000 boars later we'll level up...' he thought to himself. "So, maybe if you don't mind, we could... hunt together for a bit? If we form a party I think we both gain experience for each kill so it might make things faster."

"I bet I have to buy them as they're consumed. No big deal, I think it'll give me an edge as I get stronger, since most people are limited to melee range." Voron remembered that a tabletop rpg he played had some cool enchantments that made your stuff appear back to you after using it, but figured that it wasn't quite this games style. Voron listened intently to Kyo's account of his acrobatics, and had an idea. "maybe the system does it all for you? Same with throwing things and swinging swords. It's not like most of us know how to fight anyway. Maybe we'd know for sure if we could talk to a beta tester." Voron had hoped his friend, who was a tester, would have found him by now, but there was no way of knowing if he even made it into the game before it became closed off from the outside world. Voron concluded that he would have to survive the whole thing to find out for sure, and mentally tacked it onto the list of things he could look forward to once the game was over. At Kyo's request, Voron nodded and brought up the party menu. "Maybe if we work together, we would only have to kill half as much, each!" he hit send on the request.

The box for party request appeared. This was Kyo's first time being invited to a party in the game. It was kind of interesting how this games systems and menus worked and every time a new one appeared it captivated him for a second. The whole concept of a 'in air touch screen menu was pretty amazing. Kyo had extended his arm to pressing the blue circle, accepting the party invite. Vorons name and health bar were now visible to Kyo's hud. He had formed his first party and was ready to start getting ahead in this game. "Alright man! Lets kick some ass!" he said before looking to Voron for what to do next.

Voron admired the extra health bar hovering under his own for a moment, then proceeded to glance around. "Well... I guess we should get started on the boars. Unless you know of any quests we could do to speed things along?" Voron hadn't much time to explore out side the Town of beginnings before they were warped in for the announcement, so he didn't know what sort of stuff was around. "Perhaps if there are slightly stronger monsters around, we could try to tag team them?" Voron figured the faster they leveled, the better. "But for now lets work out some tactics for fighting together. How about we try that boar over there?" pointing to one about twenty meters away. Voron picked up another rock, and threw it at the boar, getting a solid hit off of it's side. The boar turned, squealing in rage, and charged towards Kyo and Voron. Lv.1 Boar

Kyo looked to Voron as he spoke. Analyzing him slightly as he spoke. He seemed to have a rather nice demeanor. He thought they would probably get along just fine as was glad he had made a friend as quickly as he did. "I know this game has quests but... I don't know usually theres like a tutorial quest that kind of works you through a starting quest line. This one had nothing..." he said. After letting Voron continue on about monsters. "Hmm, I know I saw some players fighting a wolf not too far out, but there was three of them. I'm not too sure if it was because they were hard to kill or if it was because they just had three people... wolfs seem a lot more vicious than boars though, so I'm going to assume its at least a level two creature." he said, thinking it was probably better off killing a few boars instead.  Voron had thew the rock As the boar approached Kyo had thought back to what he saw in the handbook before playing. He recalled the party 'switch' system of fighting. It was along the lines of someone taking agro so they other could take an open shot. Kyo had begun charging at the boar. "Voron, follow my lead, hit it after I do!" Kyo was about to connect with the boar, waiting for the last moment, hoping Voron was right behind it but didn't really have the time to check. He swung his sword as hard as his could directly into the tusks of the boar, almost breaking his guard entirely. A 2 damage appeared above its head, clearly hitting it in its most heavily defended area. The boar ceased its charge and even shot back slightly "Now Voron! SWITCH!" Kyo yelled out as his blade vibrated heavily from the crashing blow. Lv.1 Boar

The instant Kyo started running, Voron ran as well, staying behind Kyo until he attacked the boar, so that it wouldn't be able to avoid Kyo's first strike. When Kyo swung at the boar, Voron dashed to the right, quickly circling around it. Voron went in for two jabs, dealing 13 and 6 damage. Voron has a great chance to hit, but his damage stat needs work, he thought to himself. As Voron pulled away, the boar spun around, hitting Voron with it's tusks. Voron went fell backwards, landing on his back. The boar prepared to charge him, so Voron shouted to Kyo: "Alright, now finish it! SWITCH! Lv.1 Boar

Kyo had watched a Voron had made his two hits on the boar. He was already charging in to secure the kill as Voron yelled 'switch'. He had jumped up over the boar and dropped his sword directly into its back, crushing it for the final blow. As the boar exploded into a flurry of pixel around Kyo he had landed smoothly re-sheathing his sword. He walked over to Voron and offered out his hand to pull him up from the ground. "Nice work!" he said, as he extended out his arm.
