This is a thread for a quest i'm starting.
INFO:An NPC needs players to help him keep his Beginners Armor in stock. To do that, he needs more leather to make them
GOAL: Kill 5 Boars to take their hides
I'll have it open at first, but once the thread has 3 people, more or less, i'll close it off.

LOCATION: The Great Plains
Azrael walked through the plains, the memory of the NPC's words echoing through his brain. "hey kid. i need a favor of you. y'see, i give Beginners Armor to, well, the beginners around here. but lately, I've been running low on said armor. In order to make the armor, i need the right materials, one of them being Leather. I seem to be running low on leather, so could you be a nice guy and go out and get me some? I'd do it myself, but i'm not much of a fighter. Azrael kept walking through the plains, the grass crunching beneath him. "alright, so all I need to do is kill a few pigs, shouldn't be too hard" He whispered to himself. While Azrael waited for boars to spawn, he sat down, looking at the beginner's sword he had obtained from the beginning of the game.

As he waited, His mind seemed to go elsewhere...........

Hey kid. Having a good b'day today?.................look, i know that you haven't been very social since you were in kindergarten, and that all you ever do is sit in your room reading or playing games, so for your birthday, i got you, TADA, a nervegear, along with the new virtual reality game, Sword Art Online! I thought that it might help you with your social skills, and that you'll be able to make new friends. go on and give it a try!..............

"so he thought that giving me a game would help me out, would help me 'make new friends', did he?" Azrael said to himself, looking at the reflecting in his sword. "well I don't need friends," He said, getting up as he saw a Boar spawn nearby.

"I don't need anybody"

[Tsuyoi]

Tsuyoi walked through the plains, since the announcement she hadn't really bin doing anything but running around, checking out this game world. It seemed like this was going to be her new home for a while, so looking around didn't seem to bad. At time being she was out looking for some wild boars to slay, she wanted to get strong and complete this game in a hurry, and the best way was to get some xp and level up.

A boar spawned nearby, but it seemed like another player also wanted to slay it, maybe she should just let him take it and wait for another boar to spawn, but then again, it would be fun to see who would slay it first.

[Azreal]

Focusing on the task at hand, Azrael readied his sword, staring at the boar that had just now noticed where he was. snorting at his direction, the boar started to charge towards him, quickly picking up his pace. as the boar was about to reach him, however, Azrael dodged to the right, not taking any damage at all. As he dodged the boar, he quickly ran back towards the boar, slashing it with his longsword. after jumping away from the boar, he saw a rather small girl, with pink hair and (if he was seeing correctly) light pink eyes. the kid looked a little young, which confused him. What the heck is a kid doing in a game like this? especially a death game. he thought to himself. as he was thinking, however, he wasn't paying attention to the boar who was charging directly towards him. Azrael didn't notice it until it was just a few feet away from him. he managed to keep himself from being impaled, but it's tuck did manage to scrape his left leg, which hurt a bit.

[Tsuyoi]

The boy in front of her started to fight the boar, and it seemed the boar was also more interested in him than her. Instead of interfering Tsuyoi decided to observe how this battle would turn out. At first the boy managed to lay a cut on the boar, however the boar was still alive and charged towards him again. For some reason the boy didn't notice that the boar was about to attack him, instead he was looking at her, with a confused expression. He managed to dodge just in time, and the boar which had bin sure to impale him continued in a high tempo.

While the boar focused on slowing down to rejoin the battle, Tsuyoi charged towards it, a small distance was past in a high tempo, and she swung her sword against the boar. It hadn't noticed her yet, and since in had bin focusing on only the boy it wasn't prepared for Tsuyoi's attack. But it didn't yet die. As the cut was laid she jumped back, focusing on the wild boars next move, the boar was hurt badly, and after a clean cut from both the boy, and now Tsuyoi it couldn't move very fast anymore. Tsuyoi grabbed her sword with both hands, walked towards the boar, and pierced it.

Then she turned around and walked towards the boy.

[Sora]

Sora wanted to get a quick start with leveling and how else does one do that? By killing stuff with your sword! Yeeaaah! Manly things! Sora was pumped now. He had played the beta earlier but.. It was more casual, slower paced, this was for real now. As he was within the plains, he saw two people fighting a boar.

" Tsk tsk, does it really take two people to fight just one boar, are you really that weak? Fufufu. A boar would never be able to strike me!"

Sora was obviously joking, as he had a rather sarcastic tone. His real thoughts were that it may be a smart idea to actually have a teammate. Though that'd have to be saved for another time, besides, he doubted he'd find a teammate who'd want to be with him anyways. But right when he finished speaking a boar struck him on the side and ran over him, luckily, he wasn't impaled. Sora got back up as quickly as he had fallen, brushing himself off and smiling.

" I obviously meant for that one to happen! "

After getting back in position to battle, Azrael noticed that the same girl who he had been looking at had proceeded to kill the boar, and had started to walk towards him. He snorted in dissaprovement, saying to her "i didnt nee your help, you know." he 'hmph'ed to himself, staring back at the ground. "besides," he continued, "i couldve taken care of it all by myself." But as he said this, he felt the slight pain from the boar's tuck scratch. Ok, maybe i might need help his reasonable side told him. Azrael shook off the thought, telling the girl, "go and do something else, cause i dont really need you for the time being.........Pinky." 

As he felt himself smirking at his new nickname for the girl, he noticed out of the corner of his eye another boar that seemed to be attacking a light-blue haired boy. sighing to himself, he thought well if i lost one boar to a girl, i might as well take another one. he quickly ran up to the boar, sword in hand, and swung it at it, cutting across its back.

[Tsuyoi]

Pinky. This boy was kinda amusing. Tsuyoi chuckled. "Well actually i didn't do it to help you, i just wanted the rewards for killing this boar" She grinned. She turned around, and caught sight of a new boar, it was attacking a boy with extremely blue eyes. He seemed to be around the same age as the boy she had just helped.

The boy behind her passed by charging against the boar, hopefully this time it would work out a little better for him.

[Sora]

As the boar ran him over, he smiled as he wasn't done there, he had his sword in hand before quickly thrusting the blade straight upwards to impale the boar while it ran over him. He had to react fast to be able to accomplish this. Though, he was a bit upset he got no reaction from the words he said earlier. Perhaps they didn't hear him? Oh well. He needed to begin grinding some levels to be able to clear the game as soon as possible, and that meant completing missions and gaining Xp.

after cutting off a part of the boars HP, Azrael turned back towards it, to find that the boy had proceeded to shove his sword at the boar, knocking the boar's Hp down to low. well, i'm already here, so i might as well take it for myself azrael thought slyly. getting back into position, Azrael ran at the boar once more, cutting his sword against the pig again. The boar let out a squeal of pain before hitting the ground and bursting into fragments of code. Azrael, deciding to stop for the moment, sheathed his sword and stared at the boy, who appeared to have glowing blue eyes. "If you need help killing a boar, then you need some help yourself." azrael told him in his usual emotionless tone. "oh, and thanks for the boar kill." he continued. Azrael looked around him and saw that Pinky was still nearby, watching the battle that had taken place. he growled to himself, then told the girl in a more aggresive tone "and why are you still here?"

[Tsuyoi]

Tsuyoi was still standing observing how the battle would proceed, first the amusing boy managed to lay a cut, followed by the clumsy guy impaling the boar, just before the boar's hp reached 0, the other guy put another cut. Tsuyoi was amused by his words, If you need help killing a boar, then you need some help yourself. Funny cause a moment ago you were the one getting hurt.

Another boar spawned behind the boys, "Why i'm still here you ask?" Tsuyoi smirked and ran towards the buy in high speed, just to pass by him. Just before slashing the boar, she yelled. "to kill some boars of course" and then laid the first cut on the boar.

[Sora]

He continued to just sit on the floor as he stared up at the other boy. Seems he wasn't even wrong enough to kill his own boar. First having that poor little girl help him, and then going to steal somebody else's kill after they weakened it. Is that what society has come to now? Where was the tenacity people had these days..

" If I recall I never asked you to help me. From what ive seen, you're the only one who's been needing help to kill a boar. First off, you had that cute girl over there have to help you, then you steal somebody else's kill after they already weakened it? What's worse is then you start running your mouth, trying to look cool when you've really done nothing on your own. I don't mind helping you out to kill a boar. But if you have to start running your mouth like that afterwards, I don't think I can tolerate that. "

Sora spoke calmly and showed no emotion upon his face. He just nonchalantly sat there and bluntly spoke what was on his mind.

[Azreal]

The boy was starting to testing his patience. with a hint of anger and annoyance, Azrael responded "listen here, smartass, I'm trying to find my way out of this mess of a game. and i don't need your help. I don't need your pity. and I don't. need. you." Azrael stopped, sighed, and continued "listen here, kid, i'm trying to complete a quest of mine, so i suggest that you either get out of my way and farm somewhere else, or you can help me out,because my quest will go faster with more than one person in my group, as much as rather you not." He turned around and pulled out his sword, saying "You can come to me when you make your choice."

As he finished, he had forgotten that pinky had yelled back something to him, something about 'killing boars'. of course. right as I goes to do a quest, everyone decides to go and farm now azrael thought to himself. he was abut to turn and look somewhere else but his fathers voice rang in his head ....I thought that it might help you with your social skills, and that you'll be able to make new friends. Azrael sighed, knowing his father was right. With a smal sigh of defeat, he quickly runs over to the boar and takes a swing at it, throwing pinky a small smile at her.

[Tsuyoi]

Tsuyoi was in the process of fighting a boar, intense, she didn't even sense the other two boy's until the boy who had bin amusing threw a cut, at HER boar. "U ain't gonna take my kill too" She yelled. The distance between her and the boar was too big, if the boy decided to slash the boar one more time, it would knock the boars hp to 0 and she couldn't reach the boar before him. But that didn't knock out Tsuyoi, she was the one who were going to take this boar down, and before the boy had the chance to lay another cut, she threw her sword against the boar, it hit the boar and impaled it.
The boar disappeared and her sword fell to the ground.

She went to pick up her sword, and the boy happened to stand next to it. "Next time, find your own boar will you, or if you can't kill boars who isn't already hurt, stop hunting them at all" She said with a unfriendly tone, while passing by him.

[Sora]

" Eh? Don't need me you say? But you need the boar that I injure, right? Because you can't kill one yourself? "

At that Sora stood himself up, spinning the sword within his hand by the use if his fingers before finding yet another boar. Maybe this time the other boy wouldn't try to steal his kill, as the boar charged at him. He dived towards the side, simultaneously cutting it as it ran by. Only then did he charge, cutting the side again before thrusting the blade straight into it, impaling it which would cause the boar to dissipate.

[Azreal]

Azrael had a small look of shock on his face. was he really that bad at being social? Azrael, not wanting to lose his first chance to make a friend, quickly grabbed the girls shoulder to keep her from moving and said, in a more polite tone "look, my father got me SAO because i needed to make my social skills better, and to make friends. after looking on how I acted, he's probably right. i'm sorry, we just got off on the wrong foot. let's try this again. the name's Azrael." He stopped to make his next decision, then unhanded her. "listen, if you help me with my quest, i'll try and make it up to you, alright? i'll be fighting some boars nearby, so if you can forgive me, then you can come and talk to me."

after finishing his request, he found another boar nearby. Azrael went back to his normal self and, after clearing his thoughts of the incident, quickly ran at if and attacked it from it's side, leaving a long red cut on its side. He could only hope that she forgave him.
