Players who commit crimes against the law in Aincrad get marked by having changed cursor colors. This change can occur from multiple reasons and of course the ever-learning system has ways of deeming some crimes worse than others even if it was the same offense in the literal sense.
Green Players
Green players are the 'norm'. This is anyone without any crimes on file. Majority of the community are Green Players.
Yellow Players
These kinds of players aren't incredibly uncommon. This is reserved for those who commit crimes such as theft and assault. Yellow Players can become Green Players after a short break of not doing anything unlawful. Those that continue committing such crimes will permanently become Yellow Players.
Orange Players
These are people who have killed another player. For the first three offenses, the player will be charged with an orange mark. Anyone who has an orange mark may be killed by other players without any repercussion to the killer. Orange Players can become Yellow Players after a break of not doing anything unlawful. A player with three murders automatically becomes a Red Player.
Red Players
These players are considered to be definite player killers. These are considered highly lethal and are acceptable to attack on site provided the player thinks they can handle the enemy. These players are easily seen as red players even within town. Often NPCs will start bounties or quests to hunt down these players to bring them to justice, offering the quest only to players of equal or higher level.
