Willing to state whats on his mind as well as a willingness to share his own past. [Biography]
The first born of his family Jay was born outside of wedlock. The first born it would be thirteen months before his mother would have another kid to the same man, however marriage for Jay's and his brothers parents would not happen and instead his mother would leave the man and travel halfway around the country before settling down again. It was a industrial town and it was here that she would get married for the first time to a person that both Jay and his brother would know him as their dad. Jay would even get to be the ring bearer for the wedding. Over the years Jay and his brother would have the average life style. When he was five he and his brother tried to bike to his grandma's, of course they did not make it to the edge of the town before they were picked up by the authorities. A year later his mom would give birth to his sister. Not long after that his dad would get a job for in a metropolis in the north, of course his whole family would move there for months on end before moving back to the industrial town. With in a month they would move to a smaller town out nearby, whether it was from lack of income Jay and his siblings would not know. Jay's mother would have one more kid, a boy once again thirteen months after her last birth. His youngest brothers birth was quite a thing as it was a home birth and on that same day the whole family would attend church.
Just after Jay's eighth birthday the family would go on a road trip in a little motor home. The road trip would evolve into a plane trip as the family became missionaries to a land that they did not know over the seas. Third through eighth grade was amazing in this new land, every day Jay would play soccer at lunch. Much like other kids Jay was growing both tall and yet husky even with his athletic tendencies. It was such that his own mother requested that he call her sister when they were out in public. It was strange and yet Jay did not realize that his parents were having relationship issues. Still after their service as missionaries they would return to the country from which they had came from. as time passed Jay's parents would end up divorcing, the man who he had known as his dad would leave, returning to that foreign land he had become use to. Left alone Jay's mother would cope, left with her kids she would shoulder the burden. Jay would seek out extracurricular activity in the way of school sports. Signing up due to a culture he was use to misconception he would join the football team. It was a shock, that oblong ball, and yet he would play. His size would get him put on the front line and yet his skills from soccer would also put him as the special teams kicker.
Jay had always been an active kid when it came to playing games and sports for school outside of it though he was a gamer mainly small handheld devices but it did not distract him from his school work. Freshman year was big, over the summer Jay had gotten his drivers permit. He played football and everything but after first semester his mom would have him and his sibling move a bit further south. It was there that Jay and his sibling could see why as they moved in with a single military man and his three kids, all of them boys and all of them younger. As high school continued he was the jock, the slacker, the nerd, the loner, and the class-clown all rolled up in one. It was strange being the new kid over and over he seeked attention and yet wanted nothing to do with it. The classmates and others though they might not have known him when they saw him, his name was around. Specially during his sophomore year during the wrestling season, at lunch, a time he used to play chess, one of his pieces was taken by a person who was not even playing the game. It may have been a small thing but it was part of his quite expensive competition triple weighted chess set. Joint locks would get the piece back from the the person that would have been both taller and heavier then Jay was when he was standing but sitting face in his food tray there was nothing the overgrown classmate could do but give up the expensive piece. Upon collection though Jay released his hold and put the piece back at his table before turning to see the on coming fist. It was an instant reaction for Jay to slide into the attack avoiding it as it brushed over his shoulder and Jay would twist putting both Jay and his opponent on the ground. Jay was in control, holding the person that picked a fight in a legal wrestling hold, headlock take down. Do to not throwing a punch Jay would not get the three day suspension like the guy that attacked him, however his name and the feat of him taking down one of the biggest kids in school spread like wildfire.
That summer Jay would pick up a job at the local hospital as a janitor, it wasn't the most glamorous but the work did pay more then other jobs in town. The work cut into his athletic plans so by the time Junior year rolled around sports was given up. His mind was set more upon the future and that of college. His home work staggered until he simply didn't do it. Jay would end up scraping barely passing grades on his tests alone. He just didnt see the point in homework, it wasn't necessary to just review when he already absorbed all the info to pass a test, even in the classes he ended up sleeping through. He understood the detriments of his high school grade cards and how they would reflect on a college resume. It was do to that simple fact that when the second semester finals of his junior year came around, he simply left and went to work. In the fall when all his classmates would go to school Jay would leave his family for the first time to attend a government assisted job placement program. He signed up wanting to take the courses of building maintenance, security and law enforcement, or even culinary, but when the time came to try out the classes he only got to sample their security program. The placement sucked after all he was eighteen, after completion of the course security jobs wouldn't be open for him for another three years when he could carry a firearm. Still he soldiered on earning the courses certificate of completion, as well as a general education diploma, and a high school diploma. Now he had the ability to show colleges that yes he finished high school but here was his GED scores. There was just one thing left for him to do.
He would rent a small apartment as he rejoined the few of his old classmates that ended up attending the community college he had gotten accepted to. To help pay tuition as well as extra cash at hand he would work at a family restaurant as a waiter. It for the time was great, he was on his own paying rent, going to school, making a living for himself and yet is was not meant to last. Within the first year his mother would seek his aid for as child care was hassling her for not having some one of age at home while she worked. It helped for a while but then the need for him to be home grew less and less as the threat of his siblings being taken from his mother passed. College debts already on his shoulders he would not be able to go back, not right away at least. Still to young for armed security he ended up finding a job in a field he new all to well, sanitation. It was not like his summer job, no this was to be the sanitation of a hog processing plant, it was the graveyard shift and with hot water and meat dropping to the ground below it was his job to shovel it up. the whole act reminded him of some sick water park or those good old years back overseas. For a year he put up with the job becoming the longest employed for that job by a long, long, shot. Most ended up quitting within the first month, but by sticking through it Jay was able to change jobs and get hired on the hog plant as an actual janitor away from the water logged days with just the same pay, to him it was a promotion, yet it still left him empty inside.
Janitor was not a prestigious job title however and so he worked hard and was able to find himself a change in roll at work, no longer a janitor but one of the plants quality assurance inspectors. The pay was good and Jay was able to invest into his hobies, buying sound cards, led's, metal, and plastic tubes. With a basic idea in his mind he would fasten himself a saber, though most would see it as a fancy flashlight that flashed on collision and made sounds. It was a expensive hobby but it also drove him to research things on the web, soon enough he stumbled on forums about VRM's and the oncoming games. He enjoyed spending the money on himself it was a unique thing for even though his family did not go wanting he understood that he did not come from rich parenting and indulged his wants and desires when he could afford it, and being single with no kids it allowed him too spend more on himself. Nerve gear was such a purchase. Expensive true but it allowed him access to a world a new. It intrigued him, lured him in. What a shock, when he could not log out...
