((Note: This thread is open for two additional players is designed to be a great introductory thread to the second floor and group combat for lower level characters. Enemies will consist of wolves and giants with most likely a quest boss at the end of the thread. As always, I will control the NPC portion with HP and statuses tracked by me, however your own player HP and any hits against you will be applied at your discretion. If there is no response, I will post every 48 hours until there is participants. ^_^)) ((Setting: Second Floor Highlands, around mid-day, with the sun shining brightly overhead over a clear sky…offering the land a measure of warmth and a break from the dreary climate that has affected the floor as of late…While not blistering hot, the heat is enough to make fully/heavily armored characters slightly uncomfortable. A soft breeze occasionally blows to kick up dust from the plains and shift the small thistles from side to side, offering a reprieve from the sometimes oppressive heat.)) ((Timeline: This thread is set just before “Into the highlands” and Relsialle’s eventual disappearance)) Relsialle’s mood had improved slightly as of late, the memories and emotions swirling about her head took a break to allow her to simply enjoy the diversion offered by the clear weather presented by the server. She knew regardless that any weather visuals were purely set from a random table on the server, but none the less…the feeling that it brought to her weary mind was entirely real. Her black sleeveless yukata (see character picture for image) served well on days like this, allowing the warmth to caress her pale skin for the time being, the short skirt formed by the garment and it’s obi swaying slightly with each step she took on the rocky prairie. The clarity offered by the day served as well to give her a measure of visibility, the gorgeous scene of the lake and picturesque town underneath her hilly perch unfolded before her crystal-blue eyes. ((Note: Her travel clothing was previously paid for)) The punk-rocker never used to think of such things: the loss of friends and the nuances of digital information acting on her brain…the impulses of the controller simulating the whole experience but making it all too real at the same time. The rogue couldn’t help but let her soft smile fall slightly as she considered the changes in behavior that being trapped in the game had caused. What happened to the fun and diversion that she had always championed as her purpose in all of this? It was after all a source of her strength and spirit on the first floor…but no, the Kobold King changed all of that and Kayaba’s smirking face served to galvanize all of it in her psyche. The Irishwoman sighed, shaking her head free of those thoughts for a moment, longing for the elation she once felt in battle weeks before…the wide smile that used to be her trademark before all of this vexation. Relsialle raised a dainty finger, finally lifting it to thump herself in the forehead and snap her back to reality. “Lost in her own world” was what her old bass-player used to say before doing that to her, the memory bringing a grin back to her elven features, her head turning slightly to bathe in the welcoming light from overhead. Her bright pink hair was tied in the high samurai-style tail, her outfit suited well to the hike that she found herself on despite its more alluring qualities. The dagger-wielder turned her lithe form to pace down the opposite side of the hill, the tale-tale signs of wolf tracks glowing brightly under her boots serving to remind her of her mission. Her thin fingers dropped down to the small leather pouch strapped to her bare thigh, the snap coming undone with a quick flicker of her digits to reveal her set of throwing needles. Relsialle raised one to her lips like a cigarette, letting it rest there casually ready for any threat that decided to show itself and spoil the light-hearted mood that she found herself in. The pouch snapped closed just as quickly as it had opened, her hand moving to rest on the iron dagger perched in the small of her back…held in place by the tight obi. Her explorations weren’t exactly a pleasure trip sadly, although it slowly took on that flavor in its own way…her morning interrupted by the cries of rice farmers beckoning players to rid their farm of a troublesome family of wolves. It seemed strange that the cardinal system would put the wolves this close to civilization strangely enough, and Relsialle knew that something larger had to be in mind – nothing was ever simple in this game after all. |
