[attr="class","dilyrics2"]Your lips feel warm to the touch You can bring me back to life On the outside you're ablaze and alive But [attr="class","dilyric2"]you're dead inside Takita Lv4 | The rain tapped rhythmically against the dark green metal shelter that was above her head, it had started raining while Takita was walking down the street of Port Noir, doing her daily exploration of the town itself. The rain had started like a summer sprinkle however it quickly escalated into a heavy rain often seen during the autumn months. The smell of Iodine and salt filled her nose as her dark brown bangs were sticking to her forehead. Despite only being in the rain for a short amount of time, Takita had gotten soaked and her everyday clothing were almost glued to her skin, making the young woman feel rather uncomfortable moving around. As she looked around, the street, she noticed that ever since the heavy rain that the street was rather empty. Shivers went down her back as a cold wind followed up, making the day seem much colder than it had been previously. As Takita started to walk back to the Inn where she had been living ever since the second floor opened up for the average player, a sudden thought hit her. Ever since the second floor became her ‘’home’’, she had barely been seen on the first one despite having yet so much more of the mysterious floor to explore. Takita hesitated for a few minutes before she stopped, turned around and started walking to the teleportation platform that would take her to the first floor. Back to where it all started and ended for some. A bright light blinded her, and the heat from the sun felt warm on her skin. When she opened her eyes again, Takita was standing somewhere in the middle of a plaza, surrounded by market-stands. People were yelling and arguing over prices for weapons, or even fruit used to generate lost health in battle. Most stands were run by an NPC, which made the whole situation quite amusing since there was no way for them to change the price of their equipment. Each weapon was crafted from different metals that shined in the sun like pearls. Even for a simple starting area like this, with no distinguish features of its now. There was some beauty to it. She quickly noticed that the weather between the two floors were different too as the rain was no longer upon here and instead it was rather sunny yet not warm enough to call it a summer heat. Even if it was fairly common at this point that people still chose to live on the first floor, she was surprised to see players roaming around on the familiar streets of Towns of Beginnings. At this point even her had difficulties pulling a mer NPC and a Player apart as they equally ran shops, owned houses and argued over prices inside the city. But Takita knew this was not where she wanted to be. Her goal was the Black Forest. A forest the woman had barely stepped inside of and was located outside the Towns of Beginnings. If you payed an information broker for quick information about the forest, you wouldn’t get much. Despite many players entering the forest and exploring it, there was still much that had gone unseen as it was bigger than many had thought from the start. It didn’t take too long for the young woman to reach the outskirt of the forest yet the closer she got the more intimidating it seemed. The black forest itself seemed to resemble one grown around Europe or around the tundra biome to be exact. The trees were tall and the sunlight was limited to the plants on the ground however it was still filled will all sorts of wildlife. But as expected it, the wild life that a player would be used to was now in-game mobs that would attack and possibly kill if said player was being reckless. As she entered the black forest, the atmosphere changed. It became harder for her eyes to pick up the limited light that was allowed to enter the forest and every sound she took exposed her location as twigs cracked under her feet. The strong winds were pulling and ripping in the young woman's dark brown locks as she walked over to what looked like some kind of shelter. In here it was was nothing like what Aincrad had been the past few hours, it was almost like the closer she had gotten to the forest, the worse it would get. The blue ribbon that would usually hold her locks in place was no longer there was the hair roamed free in the strong winds. Covering her eyes, Takita came closer to the half fallen wooden house before her, reaching her the handle a conversation reached her ears, indication that there was already people in the building. Hesitating if it was foes or Players, she took a deep breath before opening the door, only the slapped by the sudden heat. It took some time for her eyes to get used to the different setting in light as she closed it after her. While her gaze danced along the building she noticed that it was an Inn, rarely used one. Flames kept the place warm while providing light. Before she could inspect it any longer, Takita noticed that the only people in here were NPCs and not players. The half fallen wooden house was still in the outskirt of the forest however it was far from the safe-zone of the Town of Beginnings. To her right what seemed to be the owner of the house but also the bar owner where polishing classes as he glanced over her, voice like a bass amp as he welcomed her. Takita was sure that she could enter the forest on her own and survive without much difficulties however she also knew the forest held secrets and mobs many were yet to see. A exploration was her goal with this trip however she needed companions, party members willing to enter the unknown grounds. But all she could do now. Was to wait for the door to open again and it being a player that had entered. Biting her lip, the young woman took off her hood as she tried to fix the dark brown locks as good as could before sitting down on a chair in the far corner, close to the fire providing heat and a dim light over the place. This is where the waiting game started. Hopefully whoever appeared would be of like mind and with their help she could at last begin the exploration of the Black Forest. 1,102 words ✖ tag player ✖ everyone is free to join, please don't be scared of this post. |
