Trith a medium sized red mohawked man walks into the main square of the dreaded Town of Beginnings. He is armed only with his beginner's leather wares and a long sword which is what he started with the day it all began. He has dark blue eyes and a bit of scruff on his chin. A spiraling sleeve tattoo winding down his left arm. A look of discontent, bewilderment and unease as he continues. As he enters the large courtyard he once stood in when he heard the GM's words the first day he entered the game he is taken back immediately to those memories. Since that day he has pretty well kept to himself, locked himself up in a room and forgotten that there was work to be done. However this is the day that it would change for him. Today is all he had, and today was all he would need. Afterall all he ever really had was ‘One day at a time.’
As he walked towards the tower in the center of the courtyard he begins to sweat a little, taking it all in for the first time in a long time. Remembering back he is filled with awe and fear. Knowing that the first time he entered he was full of excitement and laughs with his friends from school, but when he left it was with fear and confusion. Could he really be stuck here forever? Searching frantically for the 'logout' button he began to break down. For many years he thought of how fun and cool it would be to be able to stay in a game like SAO forever, but when it came to be real, well he couldn't process it. All he could think about was dying here meant dying in the real world. Leaving his family, girlfriend and friends. It was too much for him. He broke. This lead to many changes, not just for himself. He spent a few days in solitude. Then he found himself trying to find his friends from school. Two of the four friends who joined him on the first day jumped off a bridge. Since then the other two have been killed in the dungeon fighting for the freedom of everyone. Now he was alone, but still surrounded by thousands. What would he do about that... This was a thought that came to him often. Shutting down wasn't enough. He had to do something with his life, even if it led to his death and his brain being microwaved in the real world, because counting on others to release us from this prison wasn't fair. Trith knew there was something even something small that he could do for the others. He had to try.
This led him here. Standing looking up at the clock tower. In silence. Time had lapsed, but nothing had changed in this courtyard, nothing but how Trith felt. He turned to face the surrounding wall and sat down on the tower step. It was still early in the morning, which is why there weren't any players walking about. These days, people thought less about the first day and more about the current one. It was really only Trith in his mind that kept him prisoner, not the world he lived in now. SAO was his home now after all. Going through his inventory in realized he didn't really have much to go with. Any items gained since that day was used for different reasons. The only equipment he had was on him and all he had left were three bottles of healing. If he were to make a change, he'd have to get better equipment. The first action would be to find someone willing to help him get on his feet. Then maybe train with him. Find some wares and sell them, buy some better equipment. Maybe open up a shop of his own. There were so many people in this world who may be without a friend... He could be their friend... At least he could look out for those who have no one. That was the least he could do to make up for doing nothing all this time.
Putting his face in his hands between his knees where he sat he sighed a deep sigh.
