Dan looked at Koku as he said he wasn't quite willing to party as he hadn't made any friends yet. It seemed odd as that was mostly how people made friends, or rather how he made most of his friends. After Takita spoke to him he changed his tune to one that was slightly more agreeable and he sent out the party invites. As the interface popped up in front of him he thought about what Takita had said, about how they didn't seem to the people who would usually group up. He wasn't quite sure of that, on the one hand, they all seem very different in personality, on the other hand, they were all around the same level and every party has a different dynamic. Dismissing the thoughts though Dan quickly accepted the invite when he heard a growling sound echo throughout the alley. He looked around for the source, slightly worried. It sounded like it had come from a Dire Wolf, but that was impossible. The town was a safe zone. However his worries were soothed as he took a glance over at Takita to see her arms wrapped around her stomach, cheeks bright red with blush as she asked to continue the conversation at an inn. He chuckled mentally and nodded. "We can head over to an inn and get some food," he replied. "You can all get something if you like, my treat." He smiled again, hopefully, this would be the first step on the road to friendship within their little group.

[Takita]

Her face lit up briefly as his words reached her but the expression quickly changed as she started waving her hands in disapproval.
'' I can't let you do that.. Wouldn't want to leave a debt unpaid. '' Her words weakened as she grew close to the end of her sentence.

Death was something Takita always had feared. To die with regrets and unfinished goals. She quickly shook her head to collect her thoughts, as she did her dark chocolate coloured hair moved swiftly with her quick motion. Before another word could leave her lips, another wolf like growl left her hungry stomach.
'' L-Let's find an Inn, qucikly '' The embarrassed teenage girl looked more like a sunny red tomato as her cheeks continued to hold on to the red colour. Without a second thought, Takita started to walk with determined steps, like she knew where she was headed.

[Kokuyoseki]

"Let's go then, I think we may all need a bite." He rubs his stomach as it grumbles from the lack of food. This party seems fine, lets see, the cloaked dude still looked skeptical to him; it didn't settle with him right, he stared as his eyes analyzed them, treating them as pointless subjects, or was he simply making friends? Koku definitely hoped it was the latter as there would be no reason to distrust; if so it would ultimately lead to bad situations. The teenage girl was interesting, mature yet inexperienced. Interesting personality and seemed to attract the attention of Pure. Pure seems way too... Way too humble. If your life depends on this game what good is a humble soul gonna do? Whatever the case, Koku was stuck with this marvelous group, and he wasn't going to disband it anytime soon, unless— no that wouldn't happen, only in the worst case.

Koku follows Takita expecting she knows the way to the inn.

Dan smiled and said. "Honestly, I insist. It'd be a good way for all of us to get to know each other before we head out." Looking around, he guessed that few in that group had much money and he had recently turned in a quest that gave him a small amount of col, certainly enough to feed the small group of four to a decent meal. "Besides, you won't owe me anything. Anyways we can talk about it when we get to the inn." With that he turned and began to head to the nearest inn he knew of. He knew the owner though he was just an NPC, he seemed almost real. As the group walked he thought about the events of the days since he'd finally left the large town to strike out on his own and fight. Keith and...Zero... He swiftly moved on so as not to dwell on it, Kitferge and the wolves, Rue and Star with the spiders, dancing with Scheherazade. It seemed like a lifetime ago to him but really it had only been a few weeks. He smiled at the fond memories he had and banished the bad ones. They had soon arrived at the nearby inn "The Bronze Kettle" it was called. The place was full of people, players, and NPCs alike. The hostess, an NPC told them if they'd like to eat they could seat themselves so they quickly found a table near the window, Dan sitting down next to the window.

[Takita]

'' Then next time, I'll be the one treating you '' she said with a short smile on her lips as her head slightly tilted to her left side.

Takita put her hands on the table while she turned her head to face the others. It's been a long time since she shared a meal with others like this. It would have been a lie if Takita said that she didn't miss it. But something felt off. In this world, their new reality; the food often tasted blant. At least the bread that any new player could get their hands on. So she didn't expect much from the Inn. As she listened to the hum from voices around her, Takita closed her eyes and a small chuckle found it's way out as the smell of food found it's way to her.
'' A proper meal will surely manage to put an end to the dire wolf growl my stomach makes ''

[Kokuyoseki]

"Heheh, so where should we plan to go next? I was thinking the plains, grind some exp, get used to fighting, you know." Koku says. He's trying to keep himself from delving into battle too fast. We should take it easy, no point in charging our way through to the top. We can get to the top through dedication, friendship, and power. We must think wisely of the situation.

For now, time to delve into some food! The waiter comes by and places down their plates. Each with food on it; of course it was going to be the bland like taste of the Town's food, but then again it was a large town so making easy, sustainable food was worth it. They were also NPCs which had a program make their taste buds; rather more like 'thought'.

[Nelchael]

Nelchael silently observed his companions as he forced himself to swallow another bite of the bland, disgusting excuse for a proper meal the innkeeper was trying to convince everyone was edible.

Well. As much as an unthinking NPC drone can try to do anything, anyway.

He wasn't entirely sure what the long-term effects of giving up eating completely would be, seeing as his real body was most likely receiving all its nourishment from an IV drip by now. However, as tempting as it was, he wasn't about to try his chances.

Eyeing the rest of the only slightly edible brick-thing in front of him with unrestrained contempt, he decided to stop letting the fake food slowly murder his taste buds one by one and instead opened his mouth to speak.

“The plains are probably a good idea; we need to get used to working in a group before we visit one of the more interesting areas.” The robed boy mused.

“Is everyone free right now, or should we schedule this… team-building exercise, for a lack of a better term, for another day?” He asked the small group, quietly hoping they could go right away. He was getting rather bored of spending all his time within the walls of the safe, yet incredibly dull Town of Beginnings.

Dan hummed as he ate his food, listening to his companions talk. While he too believed the food to be bland he also realized that it was food from the first floor. As the players progressed up through the levels of Aincrad the quality of all items would slowly increase, including the food. He hummed as he looked at the food he'd ordered. He hadn't exactly remembered what he ordered but looking at it, it seemed to be some form of white meat. Chicken, or perhaps turkey, either way, it was not as flavorful as he would have liked. He wished that the game had salt but he'd just have to deal with what he was given. As such he tried to distract himself from it by engaging in conversation with his dinner mates. They were talking about where to go to grind, Koku suggesting the fields and Nel agreeing. Dan too agreed it was a simple place that had many low-level monsters and was a good place to get to know how each other fought and get into a rhythm, learn the group dynamic. Dan swallowed a bite of his food before he spoke, saying. "The plains is probably a good idea, nice easy monsters, we can figure out how well we work together and such. Right now would be good for me" He turned to the lone female of the group, Takita asking her opinion. "What about you, Takita? What do you think?"

[Takita]

Takita looked up from her plate of food as she heard her name. She thought for a second as his question sank in.
'' I don't have anyone else to meet today. Besides I'd rather find out that we lack teamwork against weaker monsters than during a raid. '' she said with a nod of approval.

The Inn itself did not have any remarkable features that distinguish it from other Inns; it had the look and feel of a typical building of its lodgings, but it still gave her a nostalgic feeling of home. As she observed the Inn, the common sound of cups clashing against each other as guild and great friends celebrated another living day in the death-game trapping them.

Takita absentmindedly traced the scratches that marred the well-worn table with her fingertips before she pushed her empty plate away from herself.
'' I'm ready to go and kick some monster butt. '' Takita said as she stod up from the table. In reality she was scared, scared of something going wrong, scared of death. But she couldn't show it. Because who would want to team up with a scary cat?

[Kokuyoseki]

Koku got after Takita. "Let's go!" Thus, they walked out of the inn heading towards the exit from the Town of Beginnings. There to face one of their first battles. Show how well they worked together, with power as a team, they might make it to the end. At least hopefully. For now it was time to meet the plains. Let's give the boars a nice, painful, welcome.

For what led ahead was unknown. As long as they were together, becoming true friends would help them to the last level. To beyond the achievement of life; to bring life back to us. Maybe, when they finished, we could all meet... Have a reunion, become real friends.
