Tesh was making a mess of himself while eating, which wasn’t exactly a new thing, but it was obviously worse this time, considering Rue went out of her way to give him a wet towel to clean off his face. It was difficult for him due to only having one arm functional, he tried to not make a fool of himself but nevertheless he was unable to do so. After giving her his apology for his words and actions from earlier, he hung his head slightly down ashamed of what he said, in addition, over the fact that he was looking rather gross from his poor eating habits. He brought his head back up quickly when Rue started talking to him about how she should’ve been the one to apologize, calling him the fool. He knew that she wasn’t going to take his apology well…she never did, but he didn’t expect this type of reaction all. Her voice becoming more and more annoyed, with her face, especially her eyes and how they began narrowing, doing the exactly same, she told him that he should be the one that is mad at her, it was almost like she wanted him to hate her, and of course he feared her, after all that he has experienced going up against her he knew how strong she was and what she could do, so it was natural to fear her when they were fighting, but that didn’t matter to Tesh. Tesh would never hate her. He continued to look at her, as she began to start sniffling, with tears pouring down her face and off onto the floor beneath her, without asking he placed his hand on her shoulder in a consoling manner and told her, “I couldn’t hate you…the person back there wasn’t you, even when you give me that cold and empty expression, just like when we first dueled, I could still feel the person that you were…what happened back there wasn’t you. I don’t blame you for that. I understand.” She raised her head back up at him with watery eyes from crying and confessed to him how sorry she was for what she did. Placing her hands on her legs, gripping them to so tightly that it was beginning to turn red and he was able to see the pain from her grip was slowly starting to raise, she told him something that he would never forget. She expressed to him that she didn’t want to train him or to fight for hate, but most importantly to him she called him her friend. This was the first time in his entire life that someone thought of him in this manner, he didn’t know what to do with it. He tried to think about what he would say to her, he had never been in this sort of situation before, and he never would have imagined that it would be with Rue…the strongest person that he knew, mentally, emotionally, and physically. Tesh removed his hand from her shoulder and looked straight into Rue’s eyes as she sat there in front of him with her hands grappled onto her legs. His left arm was still in a remarkable amount of pain from the fight but he pushed through it, slowly forcing it to move, and grabbing onto both of her hands with his own, the pain made him cringe for a moment but he shoved it down, opening his eyes fully. As the pain continued to worsen in his arm, he stared into Rue’s eyes and just spoke from his heart, he didn’t know what else to do. With his voice stuttering at times trying to continue embracing the pain from in his left arm, he said,“Rue, I never wanted to make you do anything you didn’t want to do, I never wanted you to hurt like this for me, but please believe me when I say this, the emotion behind what I want to do is not hate, the last thing I want to have to do is kill another person, I have just accepted that this is what might happen, and I’m not going to run away from anything anymore. You never hurt me, these cuts, are not ones that you made. If you wish to no longer train me than I’ll accept your wish, but I want to keep fighting with you, I wouldn’t be here if you hurt me…I need you.” He said to Rue, with his eyes filling up, starting to trickle down his cheeks. His hands started to tremble now from the pain in his arm that has exceeded his pain threshold.

Sniffling and grasping her thigh tightly causing harm to herself. Tears dripped onto the wood floor as she could not bring herself to speak anymore. As she tried to hold the tears and sadness back, something touched her shoulder. The touch was soft and felt nice, Looking up she saw Tesh's hand on her should. He told her that he could never hate her and that it was not her when they fought and she nearly crippled him. His words only upset her more, what an idiotic thing to say. Writing off her actions in such a dismissive way, he was such a naïve fool. " Your an idiot, I did this to do, I wanted to show you what fighting to kill was like. You are like this because of me, I did this to you as a way of stopping you to fight". Her voice broke as she yelled at him and looked at him apologetically. Removing his hand and looking at her. Rue could not help but look back at him with a look of shame. He surprised her as he moved forward and grabbed her hands that were griping her thighs. A mix of shook and concern flew through her as she saw him wince in pain from the movement. " Tesh what are you doing, your going to cause yourself more pain moving around like that". He voice was surprised, but anger at him being so reckless to himself. He spoke as he fought the pain and Rue trying to put him back into bed. Feeling his emotion and belief, Rue smiled as he told her that she did not have to train him or that he will only kill in defence. He still went on about her not being the one that hurt him. Letting it slide as the last part stunned her. " What!... Tesh you don't need me your strong enough now to take care of yourself... But I appreciate the thought". His words had completely distracted her from their pervious conversation. Seeing his eyes fill up and him exceeding his pain threshold, Rue quickly and carefully set him back into the bed. Leaning over him she wiped away his tears as she looked down at the mummy of a boy. " Alright Tesh you learned everything you need to know, you just need experience. I would be more the happy to fight with you". Leaning further down and to the side of his face. Rue give him a light peck on his cheek. Sitting back up and looking much happier Rue stood up and thanked him. Rummaging around the kitchen the sounds of clinking glass and cupboards opening and closing echoed from the kitchen. Making her way back to her spot next to Tesh, Rue placed many different types of alcohol next to Tesh. " It can help, make the pain feel less painful. You don't have to if you don't want to I just thought it might help you at least make your recover less painful". Rue spoke sheepishly as she did not really have much knowledge of alcohol. She only drank once with her sister, and it was odd offering a man in her home such a thing... It made her feel like a scummy person who liquored up their guest for ulterior motives. " So do you have a preference or do you not drink, I can't really offer much advice on the taste". Looking away, as she felt gross and embarrassed by this offering. Rue hoped he did not take it the wrong way after she kissed him.

After Rue told him that he was strong enough as it was to take care of himself, she laid him back down in the bed, wiping his eyes, Tesh knew that he would be strong enough to survive, but he did no longer wanted to just survive in this world, and just get by, he wanted to thrive, and he knew that fighting with Rue would allow him to do that…not to mention, now that she considered him as a friend he didn’t want to just take care of himself. Tesh was able to understand fully at this point why she no longer wanted to train him in the same type of combat as they have been previously, it was obviously starting to take its toll on her, especially after today with how she fought him. The concern that she was expressing for Tesh was soothing to him though, she truly did care about him, at least more than anyone else has shown for him. So he didn’t want to try to keep making Rue train him in the same manner, after seeing just how much it was effecting her…he never saw her cry before after all, but he didn’t want to stop fighting with her, and so it was incredible news that she still was happy to do that with him. He was greatly afraid that after all of what they had gone through in the past two days she would not want to see him fight at all, which was something that he was not willing to accept, but this was just as good as training for Tesh; it was the perfect opportunity for him to get stronger and wiser, as well as, stay close to Rue, something about her made him feel okay, and now he could even call her his friend. She seemed incredibly happy that she wasn’t going to have to continue the training with him, leaning forward and down towards him she kissed him quickly on the cheek before standing up, smiling, then thanking him, and walking back into the kitchen to get him alcohol. He began blushing more intensely than he ever had before, no one ever had done this…but she quickly ran off into the kitchen, thankfully so that he didn’t have to worry about her seeing him get like this. He wasn’t able to figure out what that meant so he just took it for what it was, and either way it made him happy, so he just smiled and didn’t put of any thought to it. When she returned from the kitchen she had a various amount of different types of alcohol, she told him about how it might help him with the pain of the recover…looking totally embarrassed from doing so, she even turned her head around to the opposite direction. Tesh didn’t know what to say, he never really drank before, and didn’t realize that it would share the same effect as if in the real world as well. He looked up at her, still happy, saying, “well…..uh…to be honest, I have only ever had a glass of wine every now and then at dinner, so I can’t really say too much either, hah… Umm I don’t think I need any but if you want to, and insist, just give me whatever, I’m sure it will taste fine.”

"Then you don't have to have any". Rue stood up and put the bottles away. Looking at the table then looking over to Tesh. " Are you finished with your food"? Tesh told her that he was finished with his food, making Rue feel at ease as she could not bare to watch that event unfold again. Taking away the food and dishes, Rue would look at the wrapped up boy with a soft smile that felt sad as she looked back to his wounds. Putting away the food and washing the dishing. Rue thought back to his words and about how he said he needed her. Maybe she was being to protective of the new guild member, but he just made her feel like taking care of him and protecting him. His past only made her feel more protective towards the boy. Walking back over to him and sitting next to him with a look of concern. The wounds should of healed by now, in this game once your health bar is full unless you have a status, you should be fine. " Tesh I am going to check to see if you wounds have healed completely". Waiting for a response before moving in to unwrap the bandages. Starting with his head, she would carefully unwrap the bandages to she more of his grey hair. Running her hand gently through his hair looking for any kind of markings. " Your head seems fine, now let's see if everything else has followed suit". Lifting his arm, Rue could see that Tesh cringed in pain from the movement. Placing it back down. Sliding the blanket down to give her a better view of the damage. Rue unwrapped the bandages covering most of his chest. Seeing that those have at least heal completely, she looked to Tesh with a look of relive and a smile. " You should be fine by tomorrow, but just in case you should take the day off to rest. I'll be leaving early again tomorrow, promise me that you will not do anything dangerous while I am away". Rue looked at him sternly as she waited for an answer. Before Rue would leave to go to bed and shower. She would ask him if he needed anything else and if the futon was comfortable enough. Offering for him to use her bed for tonight if the futon was to hard on him. Wishing him a good night and telling him that she looks forward to fighting with him, She leaves to head to the bathroom and end the day. Finishing with her showing and putting on her pajamas, sliding the door open to her room and locking it for the night. Flopping on her bed like a ton of bricks she lets out a long sigh. ( How can he get stronger, if he needs and relies on me. Maybe he will take his day off to go out and act for himself ). A mix of worry and amusement pass over the girl, as she yawns and snuggles into her pillow. ( Maybe one day he will save me or at the very least take care of himself ). Her eyes dim and close as she falls into a much needed sleep.
