Looking For A Party

A slight breeze blew through Tolbana. A lone boy woke up from the wind and sat up, feeling more of the air flowing around him as he looked at the horizon from a rooftop. Angelo glanced at the clock on the upper right hand of his vision and saw that it was still before nine o'clock. He stretched his limbs as far as he could and did movements and postures similar to what a dog does.

His experiences with giants such as Tesh on the second floor made him less inclined to stay there. There was too much proximity to death with the giant's clubs and the white haired teen did not feel like he was ready just yet to pursue and explore that region by himself. He settled on taking monsters on the first floor, specifically the dungeon monsters. They were a tad bit stronger than the normal mobs located on the Plains and Forest. The traps that could be triggered there also led to more danger. However, Angelo felt ready to take it on thanks to his new level and the leather head gear he received earlier from Kitferge.

Angelo had a flash back to his first experience with the dungeon alongside Rue. Not a pleasant thought, for sure, but it made him feel like contacting Kitferge once more. He accessed his menu and went down to his friend's list. Clicking on his name and typing a short message, he sent it to his 'friend'. Hopefully, Kit would tag alongside him as they went to the dungeon. The green eyed kid headed towards the teleportation gate in Tolbana after dropping down a few stories from the roof.

Hey Kitferge. It's Angelo. I know that you are probably busy with your own things, but I was wondering if you wanted to go to the dungeon on the first floor with me? Send a reply if you want to go or not. I'll be waiting at the Tolbana gate. Kitferge sighed and ran a languid hand through his hair, and then shot off a reply that consisted of a simple "yes" and "I'll be there", sighed off with a simple hyphen and his name. He was at Tolbana anyways, and so he sat up from his lazy slouch on his chair and stood. He equipped his armor and his copper dagger with a languid swipe of his hand, and then made his way over to the gate. Spotting Angelo, the blonde made his way over, nodding a head in recognition. Angelo was wearing the leather head gear that he traded with him, and Kitferge hummed in slight satisfaction. It had been a good trade for him, too, and he smiled a little at the thought. However, that didn't mean he liked the white-haired boy, because he really didn't. "Hello." He remembered their last interaction and with it came the memory of Angelo literally losing his sister. The green player literally lost his sister. It was ridiculous and also completely idiotic. What type of imbecile lost their sister, their own blood and flesh? Kitferge kept his expression cordial and checked over his own equipment before telling Angelo that they should probably go. It was a slightly windy day, a little on the cool side, anyways. He glanced around, taking in the untrusting looks that he received due to his solo status in a place filled with groups, and then sighed, simply sheathing his dagger to start walking alongside Angelo, sending an expectant glance. He didn't mind if the white-haired boy started talking, as they did have some time before they reached the dungeon, and- Was that a tattoo? Kitferge narrowed his eyes and read the word "Free". Huh. He hummed quietly, lost in thought. How interesting. That was all he had to say, though, and the blonde continued on without missing a beat. He couldn't afford to be antagonistic with Angelo today, seeing as how he needed supplies for his crafting.

Now that some time has passed some time has passed since Tesh has entered into this world, he has had the opportunity to grow, rather significantly, at least in his own eyes, as a person from the previous person before, in the real world. He has hand a handful of experiences that have shown him what it is actually like to be with people in a group, and actually be a rather functional and capable member of the groups he has been in. His confidence in himself as a player was growing, which is what he needed to stray away from turning into something more dark. His ever-haunting past could have easily, and still has the potential to, lead him in that direction, but as of now he has shown growth from this happening. ~Before the day he sees Angelo and Kitferge~ Some few days have passed since he has been able to find anyone familiar enough to party with to go out and adventure, and so he decided that they all have possibly moved on to either different areas to level, or maybe even they have even leveled up already and moved on to the second floor. With that belief he was determined that he needed to step his game up and go somewhere else that he could get some more XP and possibly even find someone he knew, and without ever being to Tolbana, he decided this might just be the place to go. ~present day~ It was the day after he had arrived in Tolbana. He arrived the previous night after his long trek, but luckily he was able to keep the combat to a minimum by sticking to the paths and avoid monster mobs. Awakening in his bed, in a room that he rented at an inn for the night, since he arrived late last night he was getting a late start, rather than his usual 7:00a.m wake up. Opening his eyes, and leaving the inn at what he figured It to be about 9:10a.m. he set foot out onto a street that connected straight to the main street of Tolbana that led to the teleportation gate. It was a smaller street with cobblestone in the middle of the road and had an outlining of brink, the water would travel through the creases of the stone as he laid foot after foot on the road. He was all suited up for something, anything to happen. Looking down at his feet for the moment he caught a glimpse in the top of his eye of a familiar looking character and one that was unknown. As he looked up he realized it was Angelo, one person who he hasn't spoken to in a couple weeks now after their excursion in the black forest. He was happy to see that he found a familiar face, so he picked up his pace to see how he has been recently. At what was almost a light jog, he caught up to the two that were walking together. The first thing he noticed was that this other player was orange, this was the first time that he had ever seen someone other than green or yellow. He wasn't even aware that they could enter towns like this. He wasn't scared, rather curious, while at the same time he kept his guard up in the male players presence, in case they were hostile. But why would they be with angelo if they were hostile, Tesh thought to himself. After all the image that he had of Angelo wasn't hostile, even though he didn't seem to like people, or larger groups of people for that matter, back in The black forest, his view of him was still a good person. He swallowed up his thoughts either way, he didn't want to start preemptively judging another before he even met them, after all, who knows their past? Certainly not himself. So he called out Angelo's name before running up on them, Grabbing his attention, and said, "how's it going? Sorry if I'm intruding on something, I just haven't seen any familiar faves recently, so it was refreshing to see one. What are you guys up to?"

Dungeon Time?

Dungeon Time?

Angelo did not have to wait long. Merely five minutes passed when Kitferge was spotted in the distance. He turned around to face the other person, waving his hand once to greet him. Well.. It's about time they head to the dungeon now. He began walking back towards the dungeon for the second time.

A voice called out his name from behind. Spinning his body one hundred and eighty degrees, the green-eyed boy discerned who exactly it was that said his name. Familiar.. but who was he again? Angelo couldn't remember where exactly he knew this person from. All he could recall was that they did indeed met.

"And you are? I forgot your name.. sorry." The white-haired teen looked at Kitferge, seeing if he knew who this person was, but simply looked back at Tesh. The name reminded him of a fat masochistic giant that lived in a young girl's house, but the person before him rang no bells.

"Oh wait! The Black Forest! That group that brought all those Nepenthes to our location.." That particular day was rather annoying for Angelo. "About to head into the dungeon."

Kitferge blinked, slightly surprised, and then spotted a gray-haired man, sending him a curious glance. Two-handed sword, hmm? A heavy-handed damage dealer. He could be useful, but Kitferge wasn't sure if Angelo wanted their group to expand. He gave a polite half-nod and a wave, with a mention of his name. "Kitferge, level three." It just seemed the right thing to do to give his name, so he did that and was about to spin on his heel again to continue walking. He twisted his Learner's Ring absently, and then sent a curious glance over to Tesh again. He didn't seem like a heavy hitter, but his weapon suggested otherwise. At any rate, they should continue on with their journey, and he nudged Angelo lightly and told him as such. Honestly. If they had to stop for every person they knew, they would never get there in time. Kitferge could list off at least three people he knew or saw before in his vision off the top of his head right now. But...if the gray-haired man was going to the dungeon as well...he stretched languidly and gave the teal-scarfed man a glance before turning to Angelo. "If you're heading to the dungeon too, we can walk together. That is, if Angelo doesn't mind. I don't." With those words, he coolly turned on his heel and began walking again, paying no more heed to the newcomer. He didn't seem that important, anyways. They had five minutes or so until the dungeon appeared, and a conversation wouldn't be bad to use to pass the time with. He toyed with a strand of his blond hair before tossing it back behind him, continuing on as if all were well with the world. He had come here to fight, and if some person Angelo knew wanted to join them, it didn't really matter to him.

Angelo and the person next to him turned around after Tesh called out his name, Kitferge introduced himself Tesh, giving his name and his level. Tesh responded to the young man saying, “Morning, I’m Tesh still level one unfortunately.” Looking back over at Angelo after realizing that Kitferge seemed rather uninterested in him. One thing was somewhat of a reassurance though, he typically wouldn’t have just freeling given any sort of information about himself out if he was all that bad of a person, or if so, he didn’t seem to have anything against him so far currently. His personality seemed rather similar to Angelo’s when they first met too, slightly distant and not really interested in people. Which wasn’t a problem for Tesh, he understood this very well. If anything he had somewhat hoped that he didn’t come off as some kind of pest. After all he had just been looking for some new kind of adventure, something that would test him a little more than the boars, wolves, and nepenthis that weren’t exactly all too difficult, as long as you had a decent amount of awareness in yourself and surroundings, as well as had a decent amount of planning, and especially if you were in a group. Tesh was starting to realize just how much a group is needed in this game if you were going to make any sort of significant progress. Now it was just a matter of whether or not they would allow for him to jump into their group and tag along. His entire purpose of coming out to Tolbana was to start looking for different ways to gain some better experience, so when he heard that they were going to be going into the dungeon he saw his opportunity. He took this chance to see something new and explore a place that was actually going to not only test himself out a bit, but get him some better experience. Unfortunately , he was still only level one and they probably wouldn’t want him coming along and possibly weighing them down. Maybe I shouldn’t bother them, he thought to himself quickly before he just spouted out, “would you mind if I tagged along with you guys? If I would just get in the way because of my level I understand, but I think I could help out if you let me.” Tesh said in a humble manner.

Oh, I Just Noticed

Angelo glanced at Kit when he introduced himself in three short words. A faint smile crept onto his lips. Three people seemed like a good group to start off into the dungeon. The boy recalled his own experience heading into the dungeon. Rue was the 'leader', with Kit and Ange as the newbies, and now their roles were reversed. The duo were the 'leaders', while the new person, Tesh, was the newbie.

How time flies. He mentioned that he could join their group, sending both Kit and Tesh a party invite. Angelo began walking after the blonde with the beautiful face, eager to head into the dungeon for the second time. He himself was a level three now, and although that didn't mean much in terms of stats, the experience he gained to get to this point would surely help him. Hopefully.

It was then he noticed: the orange crystal above Kit's head. That meant that he did something that wasn't really morally right. Angelo quickened his pace to walk by Kitferge's side and quietly asked why he had an orange crystal above his head.

Kitferge froze up at the question, and then turned to Angelo, faking nonchalance for this Tesh's sake. He took a shaky breath, and then calmed himself, face as enigmatic as ever as he turned to the white-haired player, eyes unreadable and dark. "After Kayaba announced that we were stuck in here...some people didn't take it so well. They lashed out on other players, and some of their minds...well. And sometimes...you had to react or else. And I think you know what that "or else" means." His voice was honest and open, though quiet, meant for Angelo's ears only, a little murmur that seemed to vibrate through him. He hesitated, a little wary, before pausing and mentioning that he didn't want Angelo bringing that up again, if he didn't mind. Kitferge internally sighed wearily. Of course he hadn't told the truth, but it would be near-impossible for the other to notice. After all, Kitferge couldn't be a musical prodigy without creating some lies from the press. Especially about his home life. They neared the entrance of the dungeon, and Kitferge raised an eyebrow, stating that if anyone wanted to back out, now would be the time. And then he pushed the door open. The hallway was dim and dark, nothing like the dungeon experience they had encountered earlier, but still light enough to see. The blonde cursed under his breath and hoped that he didn't have to use his Night-Vision: he doubted any of the others had it, after all. He turned his head to Angelo again, and a sly, teasing smirk curved over his lips, one that you might give a comrade. "After you, fearless leader."

"There Is More Than One Way Forward" ☒ Kitferge Angelo ✐ 000 ✉ oh Fearless Leader, what shall we do without you?! Tesh Lv1

Tesh noticed a faint smile on Angelo’s face after he asked if they would mind if he joined in their party going to the dungeon. Without saying anything to him, Angelo sent a party invite to Tesh and Kitferge. Kitferge was walking away from the two of them while Angelo sent the request, Tesh quickly looked down at the box that popped open in front of him asking him he would like to join Angelo’s party and pressed the button that said ‘yes’. Angelo rushed up and whispering something Kitferge while he was doing this, look up at the two he saw Kitferge freeze up, turning around to Angelo and whisper something back to him. Tesh was unable to make out what they were talking about, the only thing that he could imagine it was, was about if it was okay for him to join the party too, since he was only level one, and before when he said that Kitferge walked away and seemed like he didn’t want much to do with him. I hope he doesn’t have an issue with me in the party two, Angelo seemed to be happy about the idea, but I’m not really able to read what Kitferge really thinks. Tesh thought to himself as he hurried up too to catch up to the other two that continued to walk towards the dungeon. Getting closer to the dungeon Tesh looked over towards Kitferge as her eyebrow raised up she told the two that if either of the two wanted to back out now was their chance, but Tesh didn’t come all this way to back out now, plus this was the second time that Tesh had to the dungeon now. The door was huge and dark, similar to that of obsidian rock, and even though has been here before the door still drew up some anxiety in him, after all this is the place that is most deadly on this floor. He swallowed up his anxiety, just like before, looking inside to the dimly lit hallway. Tesh was hardly able to make out anything, maybe this would have been a good reason to take the Night Vision talent, but too late now, and anyways Tesh wasn’t going for a build when making his character that would require something like that anyways. Looking down the dark hallway, with his great sword in hand, Kitferge uttered out to Angelo After you, fearless leader, with a slightly teasing tone to his voice, that made Tesh chuckle slightly. Tesh stood there waiting at the entrance for Angelo to make the first move.

.He looked at Kitferge as he spoke. Although his eyes said nothing about what had happened, which was weird, considering the eyes would show more emotion compared to the rest of the body mannerisms. However, the words the blond man said were a bit funky to his ears.

Why did these people lash out after the second floor opened? It would have made sense if it was directly after Kayaba's announcement, but the rest of the people were either already used to this life or otherwise striving to complete the floors. It still meant that Kitferge had killed a supposedly innocent human that hadn't committed a crime yet.

His friend opened the door to the dungeon, seeing the inside change from when he first came here. It was a lot darker than before.

Angelo glanced at Kitferge after he spoke, giving him a small smile while chuckling quietly. "Heh.. hehehe. Yeah.."

The white-haired boy licked his lips and stared into the darkness beyond. Fearless? Yeah right. He was scared of the dark. Especially when something dangerous lurks within. Yeah, I'll go alright, he thought.

Emerald eyes scanning the area, the young teen ventured forward into the dungeon, his sword out of its sheath. The path was clear so far, but he only took a few steps inside. Oh!

"Just remembered. I found my sister at the Town of Beginnings. Or rather, she found me. Heh.." His voice echoed throughout the black corridor, making it sound even louder and more ominous than it should. Growling could be heard deeper within the catacomb-like dungeon. "Shit."

@tesh Kitferge is currently a green crystal. He's no longer an orange as of now. Continue RPing as if he was green the entire time.

"Going to keep on calling you that," Kitferge decided, a hint of a smile at the edge of his lips as he strolled in deeper, activating his Night Vision. "Has a ring to it. Fearless leader. Angelo. It fits, doesn't it?." His dagger was seemingly casually hanging from his fingers, but the blonde had a vice-like grip on it. He blinked back at the others. Tesh and Angelo didn't seem all that excited about the dungeon, but Kit? He loved the dark, honestly. The promise of darkness, the hypnotizing allure of fear...delicious. The darkness scared people not for the shadow alone, but the . He kept his face impassive enough, not that it mattered. The hall was dark enough to hide his expression, after all-there was no need for anything. The blonde walked semi-casually through the places that he could see, checking his step and then double-checking it, never sure if there was a trap lurking, but not before telling Angelo and Tesh that he had Night Vision, so it was probably best if he guided them. He drawled out a series of steps, telling them when there were two options of left or right, a wall, a dead end, and so on. It was kind of alluring, the amount of power he held over them. He could tell them to run right, and they could find themselves on his blade. He smiled at the thought with a rather dark sort of humor, and then returned his focus to the task of guiding the others. Left, right, turn left, left again, straight... They had to be on the outskirts of the center of the dungeon by now, and so Kitferge alerted the others to the fact, tossing his head back to look at the others. He furrowed his brows when he saw a form moving. His blue eyes narrowed. Three forms, in fact. What could they be? He blinked slowly as the forms registered in his mind, and then he instantly identified them, his earlier experience in the dungeon with Rue ringing in his head. Yes, he remembered these. "Two Kobold troopers, one Kobold Patrolman." He used his eyesight to check them over. "Um, a mace, a dagger, and a sword. The troopers have the mace and dagger, the Patrolman has the longsword. To the right of us...but they're attacking now. I can cover Tesh, but Angelo, you're going to have to rely on your-" He narrowly ducked under a swing of the mace, silver flashing in his vision, his hair blown aside. Kitferge readied his copper dagger, a surprised expression startling onto his face before it smoothed into mere calm. "-own detection, fearless leader. Going to lead us into battle now? Be my guest." The last part was full of friendly camaraderie, before he went back to Tesh, sort of hovering nearby him, making sure that the other level one player was covered. His eyes flashed icy blue, though he doubted anyone saw it. Looked like there was a new fight brewing, and he was anxious to let it start.

"There Is More Than One Way Forward" ☒ Angelo Kitferge ✐ 000 ✉ just hit level two, so what I am gonna do is after we are able to defeat these guys, I'll make it so that he gained a level in this thread then Tesh Lv2

The three stepped into the rather dark dungeon corridor, the air was heavy and a musty scent to it, one that lingered throughout all of the air, as if they were down in someone’s cellar back in the 1800’s, damp and quite gross. It was quiet, Tesh could sense in himself the way that he felt about this place, he didn’t like it in here as much as he thought he would, but it wasn’t fear that he was feeling, it was only discomfort. Compared to gaining experience by means of going to the Great Plains, or even the black forest for the matter, this was much more intense. Out there he was able to be more relaxed, not as on guard, and having to consistently be on top of his surroundings. Out there he didn’t have that feeling, the one that at any moment he could be caught up in some trap and attacked, but in here, that feeling was all too real, and strong. Without detection or night vision it was going to be a little more difficult when fighting enemies in these conditions. Tesh hoped that the other two would be able to make up for this disadvantage that he held in this specific scenario. He hoped that the rest on the corridors were not going to be exact duplicates of this one, or else it could be more of challenge than he could be prepared for. Kitferge noticed something off in the distance, either she had detection or night vision, one of the two would allow her to have a better sense of what was happening here than himself; she told them that there were monsters in the vicinity, and to be exact, two Kobold troopers and a patrolman, the troopers were wielding a mace and a dagger, the patrolman had a longsword. He could hear them moving around in the darkness, lurking, preparing to strike. Tesh’s grip on his great sword, with his right hand got tighter, leaving his left still relaxed, bracing himself for an attack by one of the monsters that were lurking about. Movement; the Kobolds were attacking, scratching on the ground as feet moved, sliding up against the peddles on the earth, to the right of him he saw a mace swing horizontally for Kitferge, but with a swift movement he was able to duck underneath the attack, dodging it and moving over towards Tesh to help defend with him, in a graceful manner like he was hovering about the ground. Tesh was impressed by his movement. Unable to make out specifically where each of the monsters where and having less experience than the other two in the party he didn’t want to make a stupid mistake by just swinging his sword about in the dark, leaving himself open to an attack and putting the others in danger of friendly fire. Kitferge was next to him, positioned slightly in front of him, Angelo off to the right a bit further, the only enemy that he was aware of, in regards to vision, was the one Kobold trooper that just attacked Kitferge that was up to the right of the two. He pointed his sword out a little bit further with both hands, sliding his left foot back slightly ready to attack or defend, he let out words to his comrades, saying, “Just give me the signal and I’ll strike” waiting for either another Kobold to strike or for one of the two to give him an order to attack and in what direction if they weren’t close up enough to see.

Troopers Again.. ♡

_Alrighty. This is exciting! Except it wasn't. Angelo could barely see inside the melanoid-like hallway. He blundered into the dungeon, helpless at his lack of proper vision. Luckily, Kitferge took the lead a few steps in and directed them. The boy could still see what's immediately around him and a few meters beyond, but everything beyond that was black.

He kept a mental note where they turned, which was becoming increasingly difficult because of the seemingly randomness to it all. Luckily, he was able to keep it in his mind and would hopefully be able to recall it at a later time. The blonde stopped in his tracks and told the group of the oncoming threats. Emerald eyes squinted in the darkness, trying to discern the shapes deep in the hallway.

And they attacked. While the mace user attempted to bludgeon the yellow hair like a piñata, the kobold that looked like a thief began his assault.

"Hey Kit," Angelo started as he dodged, blocked, and weaved through the dagger Trooper's attacks, "remember that time when-"

He was narrowly sliced in the stomach but agilely moved backwards. The boy narrowed his eyes at the Trooper before continuing to speak. "-when there was that trap with the six Kobolds?"

The monster was rather nimble on his feet, able to move in and out of range quickly and efficiently, making attacking the dagger wielder hard. However, the more Angelo moved, the more he got used to the mannerisms that the kobold portrayed and would soon attack back in one strike.

"Now is really not the time to talk," Kitferge retorted, cursing his lack of Acrobatics as he dodged a Kobold's attack fluidly, a lock of his golden hair being sheared off. He pushed Tesh back from getting attacked by the mace-wielding Trooper, and then got a glancing blow on himself. The blonde hissed in pain, and then managed to shoot back a snarky reply at Angelo. "But if you insist, fearless leader. Yeah, I remember. Bit of a mess, that one-bloody hell-" The last part was mostly due to the mace hitting him in the eye in his attempts to redirect Tesh, the blonde telling the other the locations of the monsters, glancing at the gray-haired man while he struggled to fight. The metal glanced off his skin. Kitferge swore like a sailor in furious French, and then his eyes narrowed in pure disgust, his irises colored briefly by anger. His grip on his dagger tightening by the smallest degree before he sighed, raked his hair through his hair, and then asked Tesh if he could defend himself for a bit, stating that he was going to take out the Kobold Trooper that plagued him incessantly. "Fearless leader, keep on...doing whatever you're doing, yeah?" He lunged first, eyes wary. Kitferge attempted weaving in and out of the Kobold's first swing, roughly predicting where his opponent would strike before striking quickly, a slash-stab combination that was rough and unrefined, a stubborn style of fighting, something that he would have despised if he were less annoyed. A monster becoming that much of a nuisance...the blonde simply would not stand for it. He sighed and then squeezed the hilt of his dagger three times simply, and then stabbed the Kobold Trooper's side carelessly, bringing his dagger out, when it was slick with blood. The monster was paralyzed, but the health was still mostly full, and the status effect wouldn't hold for long. Kishueh was only so useful, after all. The blonde paused, wondering whether he really was supposed to finish it off or not before shrugging and then pushing the monster in Tesh's direction with his bare hands. "Kobold nearby you. Attack and all that. Have fun." His tone was slightly teasing, and he made sure Tesh could see the paralyzed figure before nearly getting stabbed. Or, rather, he got stabbed, but rather on his arm than his shoulder. Why, again, was everything trying to stab him? He really did have the worst luck. "I'll take on the last monster on, yeah? Fearless leader, don't die, and not you, Tesh, either." He briefly pondered on what type of person named themselves "Tesh" before realizing the hypocrisy of his statement. After all, what type of demented person named themselves "Kitferge"? Then again...the answer to that was simple: The type of person who killed their best friend in a death game and enjoyed it.
