[CLOSED] Vigilante Patrol

[Mari]

Mari gave a bright smile as the Boar had been killed, seeming to enjoy the victory despite the relatively small scope of it as she would give both Yujin and Florence a thumbs-up to show that she thought that they had both done a good job and that they were now one step closer to becoming stronger and defeating this Game alongside the others who were already working to do so. She knew that, even if they had to start with weak monsters such as this, that one day they would be able to take on beasts that would likely be even larger than they could imagine and defy odds that others would call impossible. One day, others would look up to them and see the trio as heroes and saviors, she was sure - It would just take time and effort on their part to realize that possibility but it would one day become a reality, she was certain of that much.

At Yujins comment about it being the first of many and seeming to lose his enthusiasm, she would give the boy the same smile as before and wave a hand at the words as if to wave them away: "Hey, even the best players in other games have to start at Level One at some point, right? It just means we're that much closer to being the best that this game has ever seen!" She proclaimed cheerfully, before then speaking in response to his second comment or rather query in asking if they would be on their way now that they had taken care of the boar in the path.

"Yeah, let's get moving!" She responded excitedly before then continuing to walk along the path they had been set upon towards the distant town with one hand resting idly upon her beginner's sword at her hip and the other hanging idly at her side as she walked. Mari would continue along this path with her allies so long as they chose to follow her, whistling a tune to herself as they went about their way, wondering internally just how much of the day it would take to travel to this town and if the quest would provide the three of them with enough Col in order to afford an Inn room to stay in for the night or at least some food to eat - As, admittedly, she was beginning to feel a bit hungry after that small battle and the long day of wandering about she had done.

If the others had tagged along for the entirety of the journey, it would take most of the day to travel to the distant town and in-fact the sun would be setting just as they arrived seeing as they had the fortune to avoid monsters along the way due to the fact they did not stray from the path and had focused on their goal rather than farming for the time being - There would always be time for that tomorrow, today was all about completing this quest and hopefully reaping a decent reward from it. 

Upon their arrival, Mari - along with her party members if they chose to follow along - would approach the NPC that the delivery quest was set for, retrieving the small item from her inventory and trading it over to the NPC before then completing the quest, giving a wide smile afterwards and cheerfully announcing: "One Quest down!" before then turning to face the others if they still remained by her and giving them both a little nod and speaking towards them in a more calm tone than she usually used, though still smiling if not a bit softer than before while at the same time still not lacking any of that usual joy she seemed to hold despite the entirety of this situation that they were all in: "So, now that that's over, what do you two say we do next?" She asked, genuinely wondering what the other two would suggest as to their next move, as they still had a bit of time left in the day before the sun fully set or perhaps they could even go out in the night time - However, that was all up to the other two and whatever they would suggest as the next action for the trio to take.

She wondered, internally, what Yujin and Florence may suggest and also if this was the start of a long lasting alliance rather than a briefly lived party that was only for their benefit for a short time, rather than the long term which she secretly hoped it would end up as given the fact she honestly had no friends inside of this game yet and any of the people she had known outside of Sword Art Online were likely already dead or would not want to team up with the self-proclaimed vigilante who would probably only put them in danger more-so than help them survive. 

Frowning briefly, she thought of that fact solely and further wondered if she would end up putting her new allies in danger with her vigilante acts, dragging them into her self-serving heroic fantasy that filled some void in her heart and made her feel like she never knew that she could until entering this game and donning her cape. She clenched her gloved fist tightly and thought on who she was really doing these 'heroic' acts for, the innocent and the weak, or herself?

A moment passed before she let out a took in and let out a deep breath, letting her fist loosen and told herself that for now none of that mattered, who she was doing all of this for and what she was doing exactly - All that mattered right now were the two people in-front of her and that they were in her Party and as such, were people that she would protect with her very life and she felt that they would do the same if it came down to it, or at least she hoped. The smile returned to her face as well, after that moment passed, telling herself internally:
'Maybe I can't be a lot of people's hero just yet - But I can be their Hero, if only for a little while.. Even if they don't know it.' 

Mari waited still, of course, for the two to suggest their next course of action and when they would make such a suggestion, she would draw herself out of her thoughts and listen to them intently - She may be keen on daydreaming, after-all, but she was most definitely not rude enough to ignore her new friends.

Florence watched as the Boar collapsed from Yujin's strike, exploding into a bunch of particles just as it was supposed to, a sigh coming free from her smooth lips before she turned her eyes onto Mari. Noting the vivid smile that the other girl had given towards both her and Yujin, she herself felt accomplished in what they had managed for a bunch of Level One's. When you think about it, didn't this have some kind of symbolism? That with friends, even the weakest can become something greater than themselves? She liked to believe that this meant they would be prepared for what the world had in store for them. The Game had dangers unknown beyond it's higher floors but with Yujin and Mari at her side, Florence felt a little safer in knowing that they could handle the tasks that would be tossed towards them. With their battle having ended, she sheathed her weapon into it's holster and looked between her two companion's, listening to them.

Yujin's comment brought her to think on just what exactly it was they were going to climb through to arise in the levels, the boar was just a stepping stone to a greater dream, the first of many towards their own individual aspirations. "Mari is right, we all have to start somewhere but it's the fact that we actually have taken the beginning of our climb to greater things that matters. We can imagine how many more it will take us to get to the top of this game but the truth is, we'll never know until we actually try to ascend towards it." Her hand rested on her hip as she addressed the two once more; "When that day comes I hope I'm there to see you two and how far you've developed."

Mari tugged at her attention the most though when she mentioned their departure, if they wanted to get anywhere before nightfall they probably had to keep moving, at least that's what Florence assumed. She wasn't sure how far the actual distance was going to be but she honestly hoped it wasn't too long, she never had a strong endurance for long treks - whether it was the actual physical exertion or the boredom that came from the silence, she couldn't tell. At the very least though, she wasn't alone and had two forms of entertainment accompanying her, Mari was whistling some sort of tune that she was familiar with and as for Yujin she wasn't too sure but she did look over now and then to check up on him. His words had been pretty thought invoking and she was curious to know if he was doing alright or not. She knew little about him but how could one not be curious of another in this world? They all were enigma's to each other beyond what they knew about each other in-game, he could have been alone his entire life beyond the cyber world they were trapped in - it was a bit worrisome on it's own. She wanted to know more about them both but it did little good to try and pry now.

The traveling took most of the entire day, the sun lowering down over the horizon and reflecting the last moments of light against Florence's icy hues - capturing a beautiful sight she would be sure not to forget so easily. They had made it all this way by pure effort alone and if it wasn't the quest that made it worth it then it was the sight of the sky and it's cotton-candy coloring that made her cherish the journey. Vivid pink over the splash of remaining blue, the clouds dancing along for the last they'd be seen of this day. "Beautiful..." she couldn't help but say to herself, making sure not to get too far behind however, she didn't want to slack off and trouble her friends.

With their arrival inside of their destination, Mari had seemed to lead the way to the NPC for the delivery and once the package they were meant to deliver had entered the palm of the NPC, her eyes had settled onto a small screen popping up on her HUD display saying 'congratulations' with a verification over the col and experience that had been obtained from completing the quest itself. It wasn't as though it was really difficult but it was one of those things that you could feel happy about finishing because you knew that you did a good job. Mari's optimism made it even harder not to be excited about their task being over and done with but it came down to what it was they were going to do next. They had free time now and it would be left up to both herself and Florence it seemed on what they wished to do next. If Yujin had remained with them she would have turned her eyes over onto him and then gave a little bit of a thought to herself. What did she even want to do now that they had finished what they had originally came here for? They didn't have any obligation to stay with one another but Florence definitely wanted to.

"I've got it." She said aloud, tapping a hand into her palm with a smile spreading over her lips. "Now that we've a little bit of pocket money to spend on ourselves, why not go to one of the tavern's in this place and celebrate? Not only to the fact that we did our very first mission together and fought together but because I think it'd be nice to bond a little over some food and drink. I've never really had the opportunity to have friends before so I want to make this day one to remember for all of us." It was a suggestion but one that Florence felt really strongly for. Mari seemed the type to enjoy herself when she is able to make others happy and Yujin seemed to be someone who needed a little push before he could properly assert his intentions and what he wanted to do.

"Ah and don't worry about my idea, it's not like we have to do it or anything, I'm open to ideas on your ends too! I just thought it sounded nice when it popped into my head." In her mind Florence couldn't help but reflect on everything that she had done this day, having walked up to them and offered to join them out of the blue. What did they even think of her? Curiosity and paranoia were beginning to cement themselves in the back of her head but she tried to just chase the thoughts away with the good that came out of the entire thing. She not only got to meet two new people but they had even seemed to be nice - she was sure there were plenty of people out there with them in this game but she wasn't sure if she could have had as much fun with anyone else as she had with Mari and Yujin.

A soft breath slid from her lips once more, beginning to calm herself and just smile towards the both of them while raising a hand up and using it to begin playing with a long piece of her white hair that fell along the side of her face. "To be completely honest, back when we were fighting the boar I felt scared for a moment - that was my first real fight with anything so I wasn't sure if I was doing alright and I began to second guess myself but seeing you two fight gave me a bit more courage on these things. So thanks again for fighting alongside me, I really appreciated it." On the inside she felt like telling them that was important, they wouldn't know that she was thankful if she never said anything and they deserved to be appreciated for what they had done already - it was only fair.

Florence now watched the both of them, awaiting their answers while she stood there - nervous for how they would react to what she had offered and the words she had spoken about them as well. All she could do was wait and hope that they, like her, had just as much fun on their first little adventure. She wouldn't ignore their ideas if they had any to give on the subject of what they were going to do but she did have a slight nervous tick where she drummed her fingers along the side of her other arm when her arms were crossed. It was just a way that she could somewhat cope with the mental worries.

The trio continued on with the quest, Mari confirming this. He merely shrugged and continued as the other two had already began to walk on. Would have been nice to farm up a bit, however he saw the value of getting this done now. He did prefer finishing the quest anyways. He could get the reward faster, if any and then proceed to make his way for eventually getting a new weapon. He recalled that Florence was a blacksmith. That was good to know, he figured. He could assume it was a fact that there would be materials for weapons somewhere out there in the SAO world if there were blacksmiths, he just had to find some. He could avoid buying weapons all together if it meant all he had to do was hunt down some material for it. Though, was it worth it? All things considered, what was he even going to be doing? More questions from earlier continued popping up. Why was he doing this, and questions vaguely similar to that. Why not sit back and let the other, probably more experienced MMORPG players handle all the ladder climbing to the final floor? All signs seemed to involve his envy, maybe even how he wanted to be something more than the poor child who made a living stealing from everyone who let him into their lives. He held back a sigh, realizing how depressing his life actually was, living off of stolen property. Either way, now he was living in the game. A new chance at life, he decided to look at it as.

He began to look towards the other two, Florence stopping and gazing off into the distance, seemingly trying to blind herself by staring into the sunset. He heard her comment on it's beauty, but, what was it really? All it seemed to be was code, nothing more. Sure, it was impressive, after all the three are literally in a world that is one hundred percent virtual reality, and literally experiencing everything in it. But, he saw no point in getting attached to what seems to be real. This sunset was nothing more than a fake, a vague reminder of what this world is, a prison. A prison wall is equally dull, no matter how you make it seem like the outside world, it could never live up to the actual freedom on the other side. The three were slaves to the God of this world at the moment, whoever trapped them here was more than likely capable of completely wiping them all out with a flip of the switch. A depressing thought he decided he wasn't going to share with the others. They needed to be as optimistic as possible, to be able to make it out. Whatever hope they can cling to will be absolutely necessary with the trials that will more than likely eventually show themselves this new group of what apparently seems to be avengers. Florence seemed slightly weird, and unpredictable. She seemed to not mind the fact that the three were trapped in this world, and in a way it shows. She completely trusted both Mari and Yujin just based on the fact that she was invited to the party and quest. She could literally be killed right now should Mari have hidden her level and decided to turn against her. Of course, the same applies for himself. He trusted both Mari and Florence. Well, he trusted Mari. He never fully accepted Florence into the group, but having not even known Mari he couldn't persuade her to not include another randomer into her party. The more the merrier, they say after all. In terms of Mari, Yujin had no idea on how to identify her as. She seems like since the game's start something has more than likely happened to her, a friend of hers might have gotten PKed was one example that he could think of. Alternatively, she was like this before becoming trapped into this game. People become very dedicated to adopting a new personality in RPG games, and on the Internet in general really. Perhaps Mari was one of those people, who adapted her personality into more of a hero once she realized she was stuck here. Maybe, like Yujin, this was a second chance for her. Right now, his guess was as good as eating plain old bread for months on end as your only nourishment in game, fucking not. All he could hope was that this investment was a long lasting one, and not one that would end on a bad note.

He sat there, adjusting his grey hair to where it wouldn't sway in front of his face while he moved around. Maybe he should consider getting it cut. Could he even get it cut? He never really tried, at least not in the game. He liked it this long, for whatever reason, in real life. However, in the game it became a tad-bit more annoying, what with death looming around every corner. He didn't want to die of the embarrassing fate of having one's hair block sight of the enemy. Especially later in the game. Later on he might even have to start tying it back, depending on how badly it gets. For now, he remained silent, as the other two did while completing the quest. Mari had been whistling for sometime now, but in terms of actually conversation the three were dead silent. Maybe that was partially due to Yujin not wanting to start up one really, but he figured Florence, having been as active and ready to go as she was earlier would have at least said something random, besides complimenting a virtual sunset. He couldn't even tell what Mari was thinking of, did something he say bother her maybe? Did he offend the two of them? Doubtful, he figured. More than likely they were just exhausted. Since they were level one, allegedly, then most likely they had never been in a fight on SAO either. Maybe they are just now realizing just how bad of a situation they are in, he wouldn't blame them if so. He heard that some went around claiming that there is no actual death feature and that you're released if you die in the game. Lies, he figured, lies and false hope.

The three soon arrived in the quest's final destination point. Finally, he figured, the end of the quest. For some reason he didn't find quests as amusing as other aspects within SAO, then again what with the whole death feature, small quests like this are more of a blessing in disguise than anything. He didn't know what they would get - he never checked, after all. But he had some hope for something, anything so that he could start saving up a weapon. "Nice job, guys." He said, confirming the end of the quest. It didn't take much effort, and if he was brave enough he'd had taken on this quest alone if not for the fear of other players taking advantage of him being alone, or the wild A.I. out in the fields. Soon, Mari would begin to ask what the three shall do next. He began to think, how long was he going to be staying with these two? A little bit longer, he figured. He had no actual idea, he didn't really see much skill out of the two when it came to battle since for one they were fighting the equivalent of a level one monster in other RPG and for two they all managed to finish the fight while actually only contributing one hit towards the final one. Of course this included Yujin, who also only performed a single attack, killing it with his blow. He had questions for as to where the two were heading in the future, would they be ascending the floors with the other battle ready players, or would they be more passive? However these questions would have to wait for now, all things considered he barely knew what he himself was doing right now. He just didn't want to be completely useless in case his help was actually needed. During his thoughts, he would catch Florence begin to speak, suggesting the group buy something, food he think he heard correctly. "No," He would say after she finished speaking through the entirety. "Sorry, it's just that I, uh." He began to rub the back of his head, trying to come up with a reason for as to not be completely rude and just saying no to say it. "I wanted to save it, mainly for a better weapon. It'll be better to celebrate future battles I think.." He finished, holding some truth in his words as he did indeed seek for a better weapon. One by far better than this level one basic dagger. "But, I can't really control what you guys do. So, I'll probably just hang out with you guys until I can buy something I want." He finished. He didn't need food anyways, he wasn't injured and he wasn't incredibly hungry.

He would ask a question, only after waiting for the two to decide on what they were going to do. "Where do you guys want to be, in the future?"

Mari listened to Florence and Yujin speak, the former suggesting to the latter that they celebrate in a tavern while the latter would contest this notion and bring up the fact that he was saving for a proper weapon - a suitable goal, she internally acknowledged, as a better weapon meant a higher chance of defeating the monsters that lay ahead and subsequently the floors that awaited the trio if they remained working together for such a period of time. She would wait, patiently, until the two had each spoken before inputting her own compromise into the mix: "How about we just find us three a room to stay in for the night, and if we have enough money maybe we can get us some congratulatory food and drinks while we're up there?" She would say, before then placing a gloved hand to her mouth and letting out a muffled yawn and speaking up again afterwards. "Besides, I'm kinda beat after walking around all day, so I think I need to get some rest before I collapse on the street - You know?" She said while stretching her arms out above her head and beginning to walk towards the nearest place of refuge for the night, needing to get some rest and clear her mind for a bit to just sort all of her feelings and thoughts out for the night and let tomorrow come as it may.

Provided the two would follow her, Mari would lead them to a nearby Inn wherein she would then present the fact she had three small slips of paper which she turned in to the innkeeper for a cheap room that would have three small mats serving as beds that they could use to rest for the night. "When we turned that quest in, the NPC gave me vouchers for a one night stay at this Inn - I guess so we could get ourselves settled in before spending any money here.. Might as well use them, right?" She explained, given that the two had chosen to follow her to the Inn and that they were also willing to listen to her explanation on how she obtained the relatively sparse but at least warm room that they would be sharing for the night if they chose.

Upon entering the room, she and those that had followed along with her if they decided to do so would be greeted by a sparse wooden room with relatively little furnishings save for a singular lamp in the center surrounded by three mats with pillows on the ground that would serve as beds for the trio if the other two had accepted the self-proclaimed 'Hero's' offer. Mari would let out another long yawn then, before unclasping the cape from around her neck and place it neatly beside a mat she claimed as her own, then taking off her boots, gloves, and leggings before sliding beneath the simple blanket and allowing herself to sigh deeply in relaxation while sinking into the surprisingly comfortable mat on the floor.

"Well.. Good-Night." She would then say somewhat unceremoniously to anyone that was present or herself if she were alone, too tired to really elaborate or come up with anything else to say as she closed her eyes and allowed her thoughts to begin flowing as she rested herself in the peaceful, dimly-lit room that would serve as her protection for the night and for the following morning.

The first thing that came to her mind was her life outside of the game, how she had been on her last leg, so to speak, and how she would have been expelled from her school certainly if she had remained in the Real World. She thought about how this place was in perhaps some strange way, a blessing to her in that sense, a way for her to do something more than she had in real life - A way for Mari to not only more important to herself, but as a way to protect others and possibly even make their lives better as well, to protect them.

She wondered if, however, they would even want to be protected or if she was even capable of doing so, no matter how strong she got or how far she came - Would it all be good enough? She tried not to dwell on such thoughts for long, finding herself frowning as she held herself while beneath the blanket of the mat and reminding herself internally: 'Even if I can't protect everyone - I can at least try to protect these two, I won't let anything happen to them..'

After these thoughts faded, however, new ones took their place and she soon found herself thinking now not only on her sense of Heroism but instead upon what would happen if she ever had to take a life in this game, would it change her? Of course it would, but could stay a Hero afterwards? Or would she become a Villain instead? She shuddered at the thought, of herself not only taking the life of another player but perhaps even wanting to or, worse yet, enjoying it.

She held herself tighter at the thought, trying her best to remind herself that no matter what, she would not let it come to that - She had to hold on to her sanity no matter what, she had to be the beacon of hope for other players that could not find it in themselves to hope. She was Ariwa Machiko, Mari, Protector of the innocent and self proclaimed Hero of Sword Art Online and she would do whatever she could for things to stay that way even if she had to do the unthinkable.

After this brief internal struggle with her thoughts and fears within this game, Mari found herself finally beginning to lull off to sleep within this virtual world, her eyes closing softly and her body finally relaxing as she drifted away into a dream of her life outside of this game, of her body that awaited her in the Real World and of finally returning to it one day and becoming Ariwa once more.

Florence frowned to herself over the details of Yujin's earlier pessimism but she regarded it as a simple opinion and took the situation they currently were facing right now at face value. Mari had offered them both a compromise where they could both satisfy what they wished to do - Florence could get something if she wanted to but the main focus was the fact they'd spend the night together as a group, if desired by the both of them, and get the rest they had all earned from their long day. If she was honest, Mari's idea for using the inn to get some respite was a comforting thought and she was all for it. Even if Yujin didn't come along, to which she hoped he would, she'd still tag along with Mari in the hopes of getting some actual rest for once - she could sleep before now but it was hard to feel safe in this world when you know the bed you rest in isn't real and doesn't offer the same secure feeling your's had once done.

With their departure, Mari had brought her and if following, Yujin, along with her to an Inn where she seemed to be providing slips of paper to the NPC's there. It enabled them a night's stay and while the lodgings may not be anything luxurious they were plenty adequate and in Florence's opinion, appreciated. "Thank you Mari, I'm glad we did the task together, it'll be nice to get to rest somewhat now." Even if the slips were just rewards from the task they had done, she still wanted to thank her for the idea and for compromising with both her and Yujin's desires. It seemed that she was rather open-minded and thoughtful towards what other's held important to them - a strong show towards her goal of being a hero of some sort that was for sure. Maybe she could even do it, become a hero - she hoped that at the very least Mari and Yujin could each obtain their own goals and reach them.

Entering inside of the room, her eyes set upon a lightly furnished wooden room with three mats at the middle and a singular lamp - as she mentioned before it wasn't much to it but did one really need much to sleep if you actually needed to? Florence didn't want to complain, having even put her weapon into her inventory and taken off her boots, a sigh of relief coming from her now that she could just fall onto one of the mats that she could claim for herself and get all comfortable on. "Ugh, finally..." It wasn't that she had done anything strenuous but with the trip they had? Who wouldn't want to at least take some kind of load off!

"Goodnight..." Florence replied towards Mari after having heard her speak and she had bundled herself into the mat and narrowed her eyes, long white hair having been now pulled free from it's ponytail and spread down across her back. This was the first since she had gotten here that she had let her hair fall down fully around anyone else. It was a nice feeling to get to relax like this and not have to worry about getting hurt by morning, Even as she began to close her eyes, she held no fear was rather had begun thinking back to what Yujin had said during her expressive response with the sunset. Even if this world was a fake, a carbon copy of the reality that lay outside - it was still a simulation that brought such a beautiful display. She never got the chance to experience a sunset and fully enjoy it without her family having pulled her away to do something else or having been left inside of the house. So now that she could finally experience a sight like that, she felt content knowing that it existed - whether it was in this world or hers, it was real to her.

Yujin walked alongside the two towards the inn they were apparently heading towards. The sun continued setting, and questions remained unanswered. He didn't fault the two for not answering, he merely figured they were tired. He was too, after all. He would ask again some other time, for now he decided to stick with the two for as long as they wanted him around. This question was best asked when one could focus on an answer they wanted to give, he figured. He thought of the possibility of just asking them tomorrow when they were more awake, possibly eating, or even partaking in another adventure leading quest. Either way, their answer may determine whether or not the three remain in a party together for the long run. Even though Yujin didn't entirely know what he wanted to do, he had a general idea. He wanted to fight, eventually. Death still scared him just as much as it did in real life. In fact it started seeming as if he had a higher chance of death in the game than he did in his life. Though, he had a better idea of what and who could kill him in SAO, in real life he was just wandering around. God knows how many times he's nearly died, but just never noticed. Probably not at all, but he kept thinking about it.

Soon enough the three would arrive at the inn, Yujin had remained silent throughout the journey to it. He had grown more tired the longer the trip took, the sun had almost set completely now. There wasn't much left he could think of besides just going in there and getting to bed. Upon opening the door, the room seemed rather bland. Completely wooden, three mats, and a lamp. He didn't complain, it was free after all. He swiped with his right hand, pulling up his menu and dequiping the leather armor he had on, storing it and his dagger into his inventory for safe keeping. The door would shut, Yujin would walk over to the mat and lay there face first. He slowly began to fall asleep. The sun finally down, it would feel as if hours were passing. He had a form of excitement still dwelling from the day's events, as well as some pride. Sure, he killed a pig. But that pig was just the first step, he preferred to look at it as. There was a lot more ahead, and he had been fearful of it all up until today, rightfully so, however it still hindered his progression. It was dead silent, he still couldn't fall asleep. He began to play around in the menu, looking through it for the log-off button, hoping that maybe, just maybe, this might have been a horrible prank. But alas, t'was not. He continued to play around in it regardless, despite this being nothing but a prison, the menu was fancy, so he had that going for him. He could feel what excitement he had remaining slowly begin to leave. He was growing more tired. He occasionally looked up to see if this was bothering the other two - it didn't seem to be. Per chance, he clicked on his skills and noticed that earlier this morning he had forgotten to mention he to had a production skill: Channeling. He didn't know much on channeling, it just sounded cool in the beginning. He would ask Mari tomorrow, if he had the chance. The feeling of excitement finally faded. Sure, it took an hour or five, but he finally felt himself slowly falling asleep. He placed his hand over his mouth to muffle a yawn, so that he wouldn't wake anyone due to something so stupid. It lasted only a few seconds, before he finally managed to close his eyes and stay asleep.
