Regardless of her remark, the simple logic could be seen in the ‘fairness’ of their environment…after all Kayaba had proven himself the deity of this world and yet he had chosen not to kill them all…and now the question that stood front and center of the pink-haired thief’s goals was to ultimately find out why…The girl shook her head free of her musings just as the disheveled frustrated swordsman began to look for a path, her new torture victim quickly looking to exit in search of their ultimate goal…or to put it selfishly, her ultimate goal. Her eyebrow shifted slightly upward as the reality of the incident set in, the passing encounter slipping away with each passing moment…did he really just leave a capable hand behind just for the sake of a few choice words? The musician clicked her tongue in pity for a moment, finally shifting her hand to her hip as his image disappeared into the fog that surrounded him, “These bloody beta testers take this mess way too seriously…He’s liable to kill himself or someone else with that info…” Relsialle grumbled to herself, a soft growl exiting her as she lifted her middle finger in his direction in response to his sarcasm. The girl offered a long sigh before bringing her hand back to cross her arms tightly over her chest in frustration, obviously grappling with the new choice in front of her, “If he dies it’s on him…” The girl said to herself, before lifting her chin to the direction that he went, still mulling over her moral quandary. The rogue stood in thought for another few seconds before growling once more like a teenage girl about to throw a fit, her body finally dropping slightly to initiate her stealth mode once more…her light footsteps following him just outside of his range. ((I’ll drop the first round of monsters next round…thankfully you don’t have a detection skill, lol))

That dark haired man was definitely not the normal kind of American Relsialle was probably used to, or at least the stereotype of one. She was probably expected a much more confrontational, blowhard type of swagger ready for an excuse to shoot someone with his kind of accent. But with how big America was, you could have many different demeanors and with his presumably half-Asian heritage, he was anything but. It's no suprise that someone as milquetoast as him would actively try to distance himself from people like her, a girl that acted like she belonged as an extra in Derek Jarmen’s “Jubilee” or… something punk related. He honestly knew next to nothing about the subject. After all, punk was dead.     But as she returned to sneaking about behind him as he used his map to continue down one of the main paths in the forest, he seemed peeved enough as he quietly muttered, “… basement dweller, who the hell says that to a complete stranger like that? Freakin’ psycho bitch…” He grumbled with a curl of his lip, glancing from his map screen into the dank fog with his blade still out. After that last encounter, he was presuming that the monsters were either beginning to respawn from the day’s mix of players coming through or that they were meant to arrive with the Grey Kobold, his minions designed to be destroyed before he’d reveal himself. Hopefully it was the latter or else slipping back out of here was going to be more than a chore.     Still, despite appearances, he wasn’t completely oblivious. As his map screen showed a widening in the road before making a sweeping turn to the northwest, he figured if he was trying to create an area for a combat situation, it’d be here. Feeling his heartbeat race with the idea of another ambush, this time he’d be prepared for whatever would be coming his way. Maybe not a certain Irish rogue but certainly anything made with from pixels, polygons and code. [Bleh, these posts are not my best. I guess I should have stuck it out and stayed with Rel for more interaction but its in character for Kaito in this regard. ]

Lol )) Relsialle was all silent grins as she listened to Kaito seethe in anger at their encounter, the girl’s lithe avatar still hidden from sight in the invisible safety of her stealth mode. She was even driven to cover her mouth as she desperately began to stifle a laugh that would attempt to force its way out from his tantrum forcing her to softly choke at the involuntary gesture…The thief couldn’t deny that she enjoyed her random bouts of tinkering would people’s emotions and sensibilities, the entertainment from it far outweighing anything that the game was capable to date. She silenced herself quickly as she matched his footsteps, staying well out of his range enough to avoid detection but staying close enough for his faint image to be seen through the heavy fog of the evening. Her light-footed steps were slow, but well-matched with the thumping sound of his boots hitting the ground further masking her movements. It was tough moving through the forest without the tracking talent she noted, remember the available skill that would serve her interests should she find herself in the situation later should she lose sight of him… The pink-haired rocker managed to keep up with him with some difficulty, the cloaked terrain making it a challenge to both watch the sound of her own steps and keep a wary eye on the difficult American. Kaito’s blade was drawn, signaling his care as he knowingly left one of the few players capable of aiding him behind…at least he was confident in his actions despite his appearance and speech…either that or he was insulted enough to think it was worth the risk. The musician silently shrugged from her hidden post considering it signaling her apparent apathy, it wasn’t like his mental state mattered at any rate to her anyways…and it wasn’t like she was going to let him take the encounter all for himself despite his leaving… Large trees encircled the pair as Kaito entered the clearing, the place almost well-crafted for these encounters with a bright moon offering plenty of ambient light in the thick of the fog bank. The large shape of a massive rock seemed to crown the clearing, an obvious sign of the area’s importance given anyone’s knowledge of games of this ilk. The fog did well to give the place a sense of ominousness, a feeling of dread that seemed to grow with the echoing howls that seemed to come from nowhere. The soft footsteps of predators could be made out as the quickly growing silence in the area…all of the ambient creatures and simulated insects of the area suddenly hushing in anticipation of the forthcoming combat. (Direwolf Lvl2 – 35Hp) - (Direwolf Lvl2 – 35Hp) - (Direwolf Lvl2 – 35Hp) - A single menacing growl seemed to appear now as the hush grew almost unbearable, three sets of glowing eyes peering at Kaito as he dared to enter the creature’s territory. The trio of wolves sniffed the air as they finally made their appearance from the haze that surrounded the pair, their milk-white teeth bared as they met the players the intent to both punish and consume filling their blood-red gaze. Their coloring was slightly different then the common wolf version…their fur taking on a silver quality that the ambient moonlight seemed to catch at the perfect angle to dazzle…well, if they weren’t attempting to kill you that is… Relsialle drew her dagger slowly from her belt as she stooped down to one knee…her crystal-blue gaze trained on the enemies that now slowly closed their distance to move in for what they assumed was an easy kill…the small pack now separating to surround the pair, cutting off all means of quick escape. She remained hidden for now, a small-but-darker part of her personality eagerly waiting on him to catch the first attack in revenge for leaving her behind…However, her innate morality would win (barely), forcing her serious expression to be born as she held out simply to find the best opportunity to strike…knowing full well that these were a few of the only creatures could sniff her out of her hiding spot if given the chance…and their master would follow closely behind…

As much as he was thoroughly annoyed and irritated at the pink haired trouble maker's behavior, as he started to have a few minutes back to himself, Kaito's mind began to turn over a little bit. Sure, she was probably higher level than him and had better gear too. But he did just abandon her back there with not even a good bye in the middle of the night in the middle of a dark, damp forest. At least the dark haired hero here had a functioning mini-map to guide him through while she didn't. So he had effectively left a beautiful girl stranded in the middle of a heavy fog, lost in a forest. Great going there Katsuro, real "helping the player base" there. He berated himself as he slowed his pace a little, looking behind him hoping to see her, Well, that's on her though, right? Maybe if she wasn't an anti-social rebel-without-a-cause I'd want to stick with her. Still, pretty crappy thing to do though. He let out a sigh, watching the air could in front of his mouth as he reached the large outcropping he saw on his map.     But the first thing he noticed though was the sound, or more accurately the lack there of. He was straining to see if there was footsteps coming after him, maybe expecting an "OI! You just gonna leave ah lass out here by herself, ya bloody tossa!? Get back here ya daft git!" or something along those lines followed by being jumped on and batted around the head. (And then realizing he was so desperate for human interaction that getting physically abused seemed like progress.) But there was nothing but the crunch of dirt from his falling boots... and nothing else. Not a chirping cricket, not a rustling owl, not a thing. Kaito already had his sword at the ready just as the soft patter of big paws tapped against the ground, specifically three sets of them to be exact. These silvery grey dire wolves practically formed out of the mist as that over-estimating of resistance was beginning to bite him in the butt.     D-Damn! Three now!? Okay, this was definitely meant for a decent sized party, not soloed! Damn, DAMN! He thought frantically, glancing around at UI info at the edges of his vision and realizing his Sword Art's cooldown timer hadn't been reached yet. Not that it mattered as it wouldn't take one down by itself. Kaito was starting to panic when a certain soft, commanding voice sprung back into his head. "Okay... left foot back and right foot forward, stand on the balls of your feet and bend those knees... no to far only a little... a little less bent your not doing squats"     Pulling himself into the form he was instructed on, he felt more steady even as the three began to encircle him, growling and licking their chops. With that blade gleaming at angles in the night, he hoped it would give them pause by having that blade be the first thing they'd have to deal with in front of him. However, he wasn't just focused on the Dire Wolves but that big rock in the middle of the path, it seemed tall enough for those animals to have to struggle to get up but enough for him to clamber up onto. So as his feet carefully shuffled their way close, feeling the pressure as they grew closer and closer... he struck!     Slashing with surprising efficiency compared to his last fight at two of the canines that were taking interest in him, he did so less to cause real damage and more to stave them off for what he was about to do next. Abandoning his stance, he was able to shift close enough to jump up and grab onto the boulder in the middle of field, dangling a little as he struggled to pull himself up and his ankles close enough to bite. But better those than pouncing onto his chest and expose his neck!     Of course, that meant that somewhere out there, a certain thief now was a prime target if they saw through her Stealth...

" Sometimes things are more fun with your life on the line…" ☒ @tagged ✐ 000 ✉ notes Relsialle Lv3 (Direwolf Lvl2 – 35Hp) – (Direwolf Lvl2 – 35Hp) – (Direwolf Lvl2 – 35Hp) – As Kaito moved to get out of their range one could see that the wolves had active knowledge of the location, the ominous rock almost in a position of presence within the almost purposefully placed clearing. The wolves began pacing the large stone, their growls and barks almost taunting to the cornered man as he now watched from below, their blood red eyes trained on him as if he was a snack that lay just out of reach. One could tell that these were not simply wild beasts meant for a quick death…they seemed well cared for, their fur brushed clean of any sticks or twigs and free of any matted segments of hair that distinguished wild from domesticated. Something had taken care of these creatures…but the question was what exactly had done it. Their behavior reflected that fact as the wolves bounced to attempt to get onto the stone only to skid down the flat surface of granite. After a few failures, the monster’s heads began to process as one of the larger wolves finally shifted to bounce on top of its counterparts…success finally achieved as its powerful paws now landed only a short throw away from its quarry. A satisfied grin could be imagined on the wolf’s face as it leaped forward, aiming to put its teeth around the American’s neck. The third wolf had to be the brains of the operation, its nose shooting upward as soon at its primary quarry moved out of reach…a strange scent of female crossing its nose. Its nostrils were soon on the ground as its partners were busy doing acrobatics that one could only find in a side-show and soon it was charging at full speed away from the stone…the curious behavior easily catching attention if it weren’t for the combat unfolding on the large rock. The wolf lunged forward seemingly attacking empty space, the stealthed avatar of a certain pink-haired thief soon appearing as it was forcefully pulled out of whatever digital realm that she was able to hide in. The girl growled loudly in both frustration and pain as the long nails of the monster scraped her shoulder, forcing her to spin out of the attempt to pin and drag her down. “Fucking bastard!” The musician yelled in her distinctive accent as she rolled her body to stab into the fur of the furry sleuth that had found her. A thick red mark was seen on the dire-wolf’s neck as her blade entered into the digital form, forcing it to leap back in pain…a sharp whine leaving its open maw. (Direwolf Lvl2 – 26Hp) – (Direwolf Lvl2 – 35Hp) – (Direwolf Lvl2 – 35Hp) – The third wolf began to charge her just as she reappeared, with sadly one round left on her cooldown.

Kaito was pleasantly surprised he was able to climb so fast up onto the big boulder, or perhaps was able to scare the two big wolves back enough to leap out of the way of snapping jaws at his feet and ankles. He thought he'd have to kick off one of the canines in order to reach safety at most but getting out of harms way without taking a hit wasn't too shabby. Now if only these things stayed still for a moment instead of trying to find another angle to try and hop up from. Not that it was working at all, just as he suspected. They were just not tall enough or could get enough traction with those paws of theirs to climb up. But the dark haired man was still worried as something seemed... different about these Direwolves. They had a slightly different model to them compared to the more mangy, wild wolves he had fought before, a different colored coat to match and if he was going to have Familiar Mastery, they'd certainly be the first pick for most adventurers because of their clean fur and design... as if they were cared for. These have to be from the Grey Kobold! I must be getting close! Now if only these... stupid... things will stop moving around! He thought to himself, equally in excitement and frustration as every time he had to shift around the rounded top of the boulder to position himself for a downward swing, he'd have to go slow out of fear of losing his footing and stumbling down.     It wasn't until the sound of growling, both from something monstrous and someone recently noticeable out there in the fog that he realized that one of the Direwolves had abandoned him completely. Which mean that she was still out there, probably keeping herself hidden the entire time! Unaware of how she was faring but guessing she had the situation covered, he gritted his teeth in annoyance as he called out, "The hell are you doing out there! Are you stalking me or something!?" With his attention out there long enough, he glanced back down to now see that only one canine was at his feet, for a half-second wondering if she was now the one being "double-teamed" before noticing that the grey wolf near his feet wasn't leaping or attempting to climb, just sitting there on his hind legs, front paws positioned purposely on the boulder. Kaito had only guessed that their stats must have been different from the standard Direwolves but never assumed what was about to happen next as one of his pack suddenly emerged from the fog, charging right at his ally and feeling like he was watching in slow motion the monster cambering along the other's back and onto the rock in one fluid motion and continuing straight for his throat! "Are... you... KIDDING ME!?" The grey haired man screamed out, eyes as wide as saucers as he threw his blade up between the wolf's jaws and his neck, catching the weight of the dog with his free hand. Now it was his turn to feel those sharp claws raking and digging at his chest and arms, wincing through gritted teeth at the tingling and simulated "pain" that registered taking of hits as the ravenous beast snapped and held onto his blade. Not wanting to lose his high ground, he swung around with the canine in tow, using the inertia to slide the weapon free from the wolf's maw and slicing across its jaw all the way to the back of its head and tossing it with all his strength, yelling, "GET! OFF!" in the process.     Whether the young geek had enough power to send the wolf off the edge he'd see in a moment but with this sudden movement on the moist granite stone was enough to lose his footing, slipping on the fog moistened stone and landing on his chest, coughing as he gripped the boulder from falling over for now with his free hand and boots, trying to peer into the darkness desperately to see if his stalker was fairing better than he was, glancing over once more to see his Sword Art meter so many seconds away from refilling too. But was it enough time to spare?

" Sometimes things are more fun with your life on the line…" ☒ @tagged ✐ 000 ✉ notes Relsialle Lv3 (Direwolf Lvl2 – 26Hp) – (Direwolf Lvl2 – 23Hp) – (Direwolf Lvl2 – 35Hp) – Relsialle gritted her teeth sternly as the third wolf joined the fray...her odds slowly deteriorating as the vital seconds passed that would be her savior...the final round in which her sword art would come available. Her boots scrapped the ground as her light-footed steps danced back and forth in the effort to dodge the twin sets of jaws that aimed to get a grasp on her. Her attention would be too focused for the time being for her to offer a witty response for smart jab offered by her reluctant comrade. The pink-haired rogue grinned as the adrenaline hit her veins, the smile obvious out of place if it weren't for the person that had birthed it, her seriousness giving way to the elation that the gamble of battle provided. The musician growled as the thief's blade found nothing but air, her fluid movements driving her short weapon into a series of thrusts and short slashes until finally the loud ping was heard coming from the cool-down bar at the upper-left of her GUI...the time to turn the tables ultimately arriving. Her sharpened features betraying her underlying fierceness, Relsialle rolled her body right, just enough to gain enough much needed range to initiate her stealth requirement with a drop of her body…her avatar fading from view just enough to drive a powerful stroke upwards into the first wolf that dared to spring her from her hiding place...her blade swirling with the blood-red energy of her trademark attack... The razor-sharp blade entered the wolf with little remorse as its wielder offered a growl that would rival the monsters that whirled around her, twisting the weapon to free it from its momentary home. The beast stood frozen, only a soft gurgled whimper remained as its muscles froze for that brief moment in time. (Direwolf Lvl2 – 15Hp) – [Paralysis] (Direwolf Lvl2 – 19Hp) – Fighting Kaito (Direwolf Lvl2 – 35Hp) – Fighting Relsiale The second wolf took the opening, using the momentary turn of Relsialle’s back to leap on her, its claws sinking in to her back finally scraping down the leather until hitting bare skin in a long scratch…the red digital mark of a wound forming on her avatar and gradually disappearing as her health bar dipped once more. The pink-haired musician turned, lifting her blade up once more…the weapon stretched along her arm in a guard as her opponents went from two into one. Kaito’s wolf howled as its health bar rapidly fell from both his assault and the fall to the solid ground below, the wounds making it stagger backwards as both player and monster paused for recovery. The simulation was on its feet several second after, a deep-throated growl leaving its fanged mouth as it lunged at him right as he moved to rise.

The dark haired gamer didn't get a response from the girl in the darkness, only hearing her and the now two canines that were after struggling, growling and roaring at one another out there. His imagine went wild with the idea of her being grabbed by sharp jaws and being dragged and pulled in different directions made him panic as he still found himself down on top of that central boulder, teeth gritting as he wondered if she was getting killed out there. He wasn't thinking rationally now, like the fact her weapons and armor were already of a different level than his but the idea of a fight of 2 against 1 girl made him wonder just how much longer she had out there. "Hey! Did you hear me!? What's going on out there!?" He yelled into the mist, biting his lower lip while the wolf below him was still dazed, suddenly realizing she seemed to react well to insults as he yelled, "COME ON MICKEY! Don't make me come out there and save you from a doggy double-team! Or are you all talk!?" He hoped his play-on-words of a racial slur wouldn't bite him (too much) in the ass later when... or IF she survived.     Of course, all that time focusing on the pink-haired punk had left him not watching what was happening right below him as that loud growl pulled him back to the enemy right below him just in time to see it lunge and snatch hold of his free arm, Kaito yelling out more in surprise than pain as it yanked him over the edge, "AH CRA-UMPH!" was all he could get out before being pulled back to the dirt, slamming on his chest and face before more yanking on his arm made it feel like it was trying to dislocate it, "No! Down, damnit!" Though being pulled across the damp dirt, he dragged his blade back up again and chopped towards its neck and head in an attempt to free his arm. This was certainly hurting him now and he needed to get back into the game. As much as what he assumed the Irish girl was in trouble, HE was now the one in dire straits!

(Direwolf Lvl2 – 35Hp) – Fighting Relsialle Relsialle dropped her eyebrows as she narrowed her deep blue gaze upon hearing Kaito’s bellowing yell…a long frustrated sigh leaving her as she sidestepped her newest attacker, the direwolf matching her step-for-step as they matched up for yet another clash…its heavy paws sounding lightly on the fog dampened ground. Any semblance of respect for the stranger (no matter how little it was already) seemed to evaporate as his voice carried over the ambient sounds of the forest and the combat that echoed off of the trees, knowing his score of verbal points would most likely draw whatever hostiles that remained in the area to challenge them in the chaos that embroiled them for the moment. “Fucking idiot…” The girl said softly as she gritted her teeth, mentally swearing to kill him with her own hands once she had wrapped up with her present opponent. While she was known for her speech, both in wit and sporadic skirmishes with obscenity, but such things had a time and a place and this seemed…at least for her, the worst possible time for a verbal tit-for-tat…The girl lifted her dagger in response to each of the wolf’s movements, her guard ever-changing as the standoff continued for the time being…the beast’s partner quietly whining in its frozen state on the icy ground. The direwolf had made the first move, a loud growling bark heard as it leaped at the pink-haired thief…its massive jaws open in an effort to once more pin her under the force of its sharpened fangs. The creatures had an almost instinctual tactic that could be countered, however high thought processes were proven possible…probably care of the ever-present cardinal system, however one could only guess if it was hunger or simple instinct that was being simulated in this particular case. The musician dropped her foot back, extending the thin weapon to catch the monster as it leaped…the sharpened claws catching her on the forearm to scrape through leather and into bare flesh. It had paid a price for its small victory as Relsialle impaled the creature once more on the short weapon, using the force of its girth to act as the power behind the attack…the creature skidding to a stop several feet away as her blade was pulled free. Its HP gauge once more had shown the effect of the careful rogue’s resolve, a thin smile growing on her features as the deep red mark grew visible on her newest opponent… (Direwolf Lvl2 – 15Hp) – [Paralysis] (Direwolf Lvl2 – 0Hp) –DEAD! (Direwolf Lvl2 – 16Hp) – Fighting Relsialle The punk-rocker’s smile would grow into a wicked grin as Kaito could be heard suffering, the karmic revenge for the racial remark taking hold…but still not enough of a beating that she planned to give the gamer shut-in for his remarks. Her smile would suddenly fall into surprise as she recovered her guard…a different loud bestial howl now heard in Kaito’s direction…the wolves’ master now choosing to finally make its appearance… Kaito’s wolf had burst into blue pixels as soon as the blade finally met flesh in his panic to be freed from the creature’s grasp, a loud guttural whine heard from the beast as the wild cut came down hard on its neck. The teeth holding him finally released to grant him his freedom…the direwolf going limp before its eventual digital overload. Celebration wouldn’t be for long as an axe wielding reptile soon made an appearance on the large rock outcropping…its open maw signaling its displeasure at not only the encounter but the injury of its companions. The image of the Kobold was hazy at first from the ambient fog still swirling about but soon as it converged on the swordsman’s location one could see the ranger archetype quite clearly…utilitarian brown leather armor covering a mass of gray scales and a large black axe to greet its new-found visitors…the name Grayscale the Alpha gracing its rather healthy HP gauge… (Direwolf Lvl2 – 15Hp) – [Paralysis] (Direwolf Lvl2 – 0Hp) –DEAD! (Direwolf Lvl2 – 16Hp) – Fighting Relsialle (Grayscale the Alpha Lvl2 – 50HP) – Fighting Kaito

Kaito felt the strike through hide and flesh around his own arm as the direwolf let out a gurgle of shock and pain before slumping to the ground, exploding into pixels and finally letting the dark haired American catch his breath. All that time focused on the punk girl was getting in the way of figuring out how she was doing and she STILL wasn't reacting to him. Either she was in legit need of help or she was actively ignoring him... or, you know, busy with two wolves but right now he was feeling a little of "B" and "C" was the correct answer. He almost felt like he was wasting his time trying to get her attention as he got up to his feet, shaking off the dirt from his armor. But he didn't have time to shout out again as a new roar quickly got his attention, not sounding anything like the canines that came before as the blood drained from his face. Turning around, standing on what was supposed to have been his high-ground, was a kobold that stood maybe a head higher than himself, surprisingly built for his character model and with the biggest axe he'd ever seen. Kaito was not one for cursing lightly, but when those black eyes came upon it, he could only whisper beneath his breath, "Oh fuck me...!" as he tried to think of how he was going to take this thing on.     And realized, he wasn't.     Spinning around, he ran towards the sound of fighting, he plowed through the mist and fog until the smaller outline of a four legged beast beginning to stand up from the ground came into view, shortly before the sight of neon pink hair pierced through the darkness, finding himself suddenly growing angry that she was doing just fine the entire time. "IRISH!" He yelled as he charged through, not slowing his pace as he sliced across the back of the wolf that was still on the ground, "Why didn't you say anything!? I found the grey kobold, let's go!" He attempted to snatch her hand as he was moving in hoping to get the point across, side-stepping the still frozen canine near them as he seemed ready to abandon the quest it would seem.

The weapon was torn free with a quick jerk, a sucking sound of muscle and blood filling the void that the weapon exiting created almost instantly. The rogue smiled as the odds were slowly tilting in her favor, the paralyzed wolf still doing its best to break the hold that the utility sword art had on him, despite the meaninglessness of its soft twitches and gurgled cries. The thief almost felt sorry for the large beast, the creature becoming almost like an injured puppy as it realized that it too would be the next to fall as she crept closer with light footsteps, her head snapping in Kaito’s direction as a loud crash was heard along with his incessant yelling. The Irishwoman narrowed her blue gaze as she attempted to focus on the disheveled man in the blanket of the fog, his voice seemingly closer than it was before… (Direwolf Lvl2 – 0Hp) – DEAD! (Grayscale the Alpha Lvl2 – 50HP) – Running Her lingering questions were answered as the annoying swordsman appeared from the milky cloud that surrounded the pair, fear easily seen in his features as he yelled ‘IRISH’ at the top of his lungs. The girl lifted a thin eyebrow as he sprinted to her, his blade crashing down on the frozen wolf just as she moved to finish the pitiful creature on her own…”What the hell!” The girl yelled in response, the frustration from the stolen kill clearly in her tone…her musical accent growing sharper to indicate her anger. A loud growl escaped her as he grabbed her hand to urge her away, the rogue pulling her limb from his grasp almost on reflex…”You found what?!?” Relsialle exclaimed as she twisted her lithe form to grasp the collar of his beginner’s armor and lifting her fist to strike him, her frustration slowly building into rage. The musician wouldn’t get a chance to enact her earlier promise of killing him herself as her attention was caught by a deafening roar from just beyond the haze, her pink hair shifting to look at the new presence that greeted them like a tank…”You weren’t kidding…Holy shit…” Just as those words left her Greyscale the Alpha made his appearance, the quick steps of the reptile doing well to stay on Kaito’s heels, as its hefty axe lifted high to reinforce the threat that the kobold-ranger presented in its anger… ”And you brought it here? Are you fucking psycho!” Relsialle turned clenching her teeth before finally letting him go abruptly. She didn’t have think twice before turning to join him in his run, the massive Kobold nearly on top of them as it easily kept pace with the sprinting pair. Her mind was swimming as she muttered intelligible curses with every long stride of her run, a wicked smile on her face slowly growing as they move along as the semblance of a plan began to form within her mind. The Irishwoman’s hand shot to the pouch that lay resting on her bare thigh…her pace slowly slightly as she pulled out a small handful of sharpened calcum needles…”Keep kiting him…I’ll split off and get him from behind!” Her voice managed to say as her deep breaths puffed after each clause.

Kaito had assumed she would understand the situation as he ran right through, not caring at the moment who's monster was what or whose or why. So it never occurred to him that the rose-haired rogue would take his words of "I found the grey kobold" as "I took care of the grey kobold" in this regard and as he missed her hand on his attempt to take her along, his return to get her  was rewarded with a yoink to his neckline, seeing her fist ball up as he realized what was coming. "F-Found THAT!" He yelled, pointed to the side towards the next roar that echoed through the mist covered trees, the loud thumping of clawed feet slamming in a charge towards them as his giant size was beginning to emerge through the fog, glints of that black wedge of metal in the dark coming straight at them.     The two of them let their squabbles drop for the moment as they ran down the return path they came from, and all the minor obstacles that originally were there suddenly became so much worst as a grouping of waist high rocks were now just there to make fleeing harder. "What did you expect me to do!? Fight it by myself!?" He said between gasps, going around the rocks and glancing behind him to see the kobold leaping up on top of a boulder or two with its digitigrade legs to bypass the same obstacle, "You're the crazy one here!" This was what his life had boiled down to, running for it with what might possibly be the most annoying and argumentative girl he'd ever met in his life from a monster that could cleave them in two in a moment's notice. He soon saw the old dead tree that had fallen across the path from earlier, chest high in size of its semi-hallow trunk, glancing over to see a smile on the Irish girl's crazed face as he began to worry, even more so as she explained her plan. "What!? I don't *huff* have that kind of *pant* endurance!" He gasped as he clambered over the dead tree, rolling over on the other size as the kobold was still gaining on them, "If I get hit by that thing once then-" The dark haired man was interrupted as Grayscale barely slowed his gait in order to underhand a chop with his giant axe, the tree seemingly exploding as the monster broke through the trunk with his raw strength, splinters large and small falling around the two of them and battering their backs and heads as Kaito continued to prove his point, "Then I'll end up like that!"     The Japanese-American knew the two of them were still far from the exit but that didn't stop him from checking his mini-map in a panic anyways in a slim hope that the forest had suddenly shrunk in the last hour or two since they came in. But one of those side paths that he had been exploring that he could see without bringing up the map screen like the thief here suddenly caught his eye. It had ended at a shrouded area where a chest that day had already been opened but that wasn't what caught his eyes. The path was small, not small enough Grayscale couldn't chase them, but the density of young trees in the area... that was the key! "Wait! This way!" He said, suddenly pointing into the fog off to the side of the main path, making sure she saw him as he made a sharp turn, "The trees are too dense in here for that thing to build momentum in his swings! If we attack from multiple sides and get Greyscale all tangled up, we can win this!"

You were perfectly fine talking a big game a few minutes ago!” Relsialle answered spitefully as she puffed with every step, a fan of calcum needles carried in her normally free hand as her unsheathed dagger sang as the wind passed by from her sprint. Her leg muscles ached as they kept going, the adrenaline in her system pushing her beyond her normal endurance. “Fuck you! You were the one that was yelling like a damn club-girl with an attitude!” The girl lectured, rapidly firing off obscenities like it was nothing, her bright hair waving behind her like a neon cape. A loud growl escaped her as the swordsman shot down her plan with a quickness, admitting his weakness in between puffs of strained air form his lungs. Her careful steps bounded off of the moist earth, her own breath growing shallow as she began to reach her own limit of endurance…her blue gaze trained on the forest floor to attempt to dodge the scattered sticks and exposed rock. The Irishwoman cursed as her eyes widened in surprise as the remains of the rotten wood and splinters showered over them, the bark and wood bit sticking to her dampened sin and armor. The musician scrambled up the fallen log, her bare legs now scraped up from the rough surface, leaking a small trickle of blood that didn’t entail an HP-loss but more so had shown the level of realism that the game had to offer. The kobold kept well on the pair’s heels as his axe swung to impact another young tree, felling the sapling with a single stroke of the powerful weapon…the reptile easily built for the forest. The pink-haired kunoichi tensed her sharpened features as yet another tree crash behind them, “Any plan is better than this!” The girl responded, her lungs burning from the lack of oxygen…simulated or otherwise as her heart pounded rhythmically in her chest. Her footsteps followed closely behind Kaito as she leaped forward, twisting her body slightly to be able to throw a volley of her needles as the closely following humanoid…a random gamble to force it to slow down, a loud roar heard in response as the wicked weapons hit pay-dirt. (Grayscale the Alpha Lvl2 – 45HP) – Running “Say the word and we’ll split…you ready?” The girl grinned, an almost elated expression on her features…an almost insane look of enjoyment creeping across her features as the older trees began to come into view, the rush of combat lifting her troubles from her mind yet again for the time being. The forest grew thicker as Kaito’s prediction had come true, his mapping skills paying off yet again in spite of his partner’s nay-saying…

The two of them could feel the wind from his axe swings now as saplings and hand-width trees were cut down as they slipped pass mossy forest floor, leaves and branches crashing behind them and occasionally in front of them. They just had to keep going fast enough to reach the harder and presumably harder landscape, either too thick to take a single swing to fell or, thinking like a game designer and programmer, rendered invulnerable to damage to cut down on physics-heavy effects. At least Kaito hoped to any god that was listening that was true as those clawed hind-paws so very close. Seeing the look of pure delight on the rose-haired rogue's face, either from the thrill of near death or a successful strike with her daggers, the dark haired boy couldn't help scrunch his face at how little she was taking this all seriously. "Don't get too excited, he's not dead yet! You can get your jollies off after that!" He replied back with a snort, turning his head as Greyscale, right on top of them with his massive axe raising above him, made a grimace of fright and shouted, "Gah! Now, NOW!"     Weaving to his left, he went into a roll just as a loud "THOCK!" of wedged metal slammed against hard wood, throwing up leaves and pine needles into the air as Kaito scrambled back up to his feet, weaving between trees as wide as his torso and proceeding to slap the flat of his blade against their trunks as he ran. "Hey! Over here you trash mob!" He taunted, occasionally turning around and slowing his run to wave at him, "Or do you only let your puppies do your dirty work!?"

The physics engine of the game was still impressive as branches and the rough exteriors exploded outward with every missed attack in the running fight that the pair of unlikely allies were immersed in…realism instead of game limitations winning out ultimately. The rogue growled softly as she pushed herself, her light footsteps growing heavier with each footfall as the ground began to incline, the pure elation in the combat driving her forward. “Good to know what’s on your mind perv! Is that what you’re going to be thinking about when you cuddle up next to those anime pillows of yours?” The girl laughed with a wicked grin, her breath fighting to keep up. The kunoichi sidestepped wide to weave past a downward cut of the powerful axe, spinning on the loose ground before leaping backwards and shifting to another run in another direction. Where he was still frightened for his life one could easily tell that the rogue was having easily the time of her life, the look on her face the equal to a rollercoaster during a car crash. The black eyes of Grayscale turned its attention to Kaito on impulse, not only from the taunts, but from the agro still acquired form the first meeting. The cooldown on Relsialle’s art still ticked downwards as she gripped her blade, the monster beginning its swift sprint after the swordsman as the pair split up and changed direction. Her features went stern as the newly formed bait-critter made a run for it…her body dropping down once more to activate her stealth…moving swiftly to catch up… Her steps were rapid, the kobold’s grey scales glimmering slight from the ambient moisture around them and acted as a guide. The musician reappeared quickly, breaking her stealth as a crimson light appeared from her dagger, “Time for a new trick!” The girl yelled through clenched teeth as she moved to put a stop to this running bout by not only revealing the cards…but throwing the whole table to the floor…Her glowing weapon cut once, then twice, and a third…each time digging deeper into the kobold’s armor and exposed flesh, crimson streaks appearing with each movement of her surgeons blade… Grayscale howled as it’s health dropped steeply…but more surprisingly was a new icon that appeared beside its health bar…poison…its menacing attention now fully on her… (Grayscale the Alpha Lvl2 – 32HP) –*Poisoned*
