"There Is More Than One Way Forward"
Tesh Lv3 | Crouched down in his new leather armor, it fit snuggly up against his skin, it did indeed make him seem slightly bulkier but at the same time it still felt his own skin…apart of his body, the same way he felt when using his great sword. It was comfy and fit well, and now that he was level three he was able to equip the Calcum Great Sword in his inventory, the one that he was able to win from Rue in their little game of capture the flag. The weight was perfect, heavy but it still felt like an extension of his body, and the weight proportions were much nicer than the beginner’s, it’s balance was spot on, which allowed for him to make more agile attacks and reposition the blade for follow up strikes or defensive maneuvers. He was thoroughly excited to get to try it out now and see just the damage difference compared the beginner’s sword when he came out here the first time with Elpharae, up against these wolves. Rue said that she wasn’t able to pick up on anymore enemies in the immediate proximity, probably using the detection talent, and told him the game plan for attacking the two wolves that were positioned straight ahead of them. He would take the left one, and her the right, and if they were to agro any of the groups of giants they would fall back into the more harsh terrain, which would put the two of them at a greater advantage, due to their rather clumsy nature and body movement. After she spoke she looked over at him to see if he was ready and for him to make the first move, since she would catch up to him since she was faster. Nodding back to the girl, he raised himself up quickly, putting his left hand down on the boulder in front of them, swing his legs over top, hurling himself forward. Planting his feet in the rocky ground underneath, he took off forward to charge at the wolf on the left, unsheathing his new great sword that seemed to shimmer in the sunlight as it came out from behind his back, he charged forward to make the first attack. The sound of the sword unsheathing, a zinging sort of noise, as well as his footsteps, aggroed the first wolf that was on the left; in addition, the second wolves attention was also drawn, but before it was aggroed onto him, Tesh looked over to his right and saw Rue right there with him about to strike the second wolf, taking the agro of it before it locked onto him. The first wolf crouched down slightly, with its front two legs, snarling at the grey haired man, as he was charging towards it about to attack. They seemed even fiercer than the wolves that were back on the first floor, and if it was his first time out in the highlands he might have been taken back slightly from its appearance and hostile nature that it was emitting. Even though it was just a program and a bunch of code, they still seemed to have that natural instinct to survive, which could be seen in its eyes, as if it was looking straight through the young man. Controlling his breathing as he raised his sword up slightly from his side the wolf pounce forward at him, his adrenaline was rushing through his body rapidly, he could feel his heart start to beat faster, and as if it was just a natural movement he took his great sword and ran it straight through the wolfs chest, since that would be the best method of attacking since it was leaping through the air at him, leaving itself open to such an attack. The strength behind his attack was far superior to that of the wolfs, especially with his new level, and as the blade sank straight into the chest of the wolf, directly where its heart would have been, its momentum shifted completely, being taken straight back to the ground on its back with the two hander still logged in its chest. While the wolf laid on the ground, on its back, Tesh continued to drive the blade into the wolf, watching what was left of its health bar slowly trickle down to nothing. While it squirmed around on the ground beneath his blade, making whimpering noises, signaling that it was going to die, Tesh glanced quickly over to see Rue handling her fight quickly and easily just as well, and when he placed his eyes back down on the wolf it made one last quick jerking movement and exploded into hundreds of different colored pixels that floated of into the air around him. Letting out at deep exhale, regained his breathe and heart-beat, getting them to settle back down again. He was very happy with the improvements that he had made in his fighting as well as the new equipment that he had been able to use this day. He was excited to see that it was working well for him and wanted to continue trudging along in the Highlands to take out more mobs of enemies. He looked back towards Rue with a slight smile on his face as he made his way over to her. |
