Relsialle remained silent from her perch in Vallandrian’s shadow, her feet frozen in place so as to not dark attention to herself. Her hand remained on her weapon for the time being, the tip of the metal scabbard digging slightly into her thigh from the pressure from her hand from above. She knew something wasn’t right about this child, but couldn’t put a finger on it, it seemed too convenient and all together too-perfect. She exhaled deeply, the air exiting from her making soft sound unable to be heard beyond the slow falling rain drops and the child’s whimpering…her heart did ache for the child slightly, her emotion slowly starting to gain a grasp in a situation that her head should have remained the easy victor. The conflict stirred inside her for a moment, her face slowly shifting into a look of sympathy while remaining in her cloaked perch. She could empathize with the kid, knowing for certain that a large segment of the death-game’s population were children that were simply out for fun…children that would miss the world left behind for them…unable to cope with the loss and danger that they would be facing along with those that were adult enough to understand it. She looked on silently, her deep-blue glance shifting slightly to the brush around them, but slightly wavering due to her empathy. The child sniffled as he caught sight of Vallandrian, taking a deep breath of his mucus as he saw the fellow player, “My friend disappeared…we were trying to level and a wolf got her…” The kid stated, his newbie longsword placed beside him, leaning against a shabby wooden bean slightly out of reach. He didn’t look like a threat himself, more like a lost child that can’t find its mother in the grocery store…His story implying that his friend has fallen to the game forever…”She is gone isn’t she…” The small swordsman said, choking back another round of tears…coming to the realization that he just watched his friend die… |
